Thank you for this MARTIN. I have been to dear STROMBOLI twice, but it was quiescent on both occasions. How I should have loved to have watched this from the sea!

SUPERB footage as always Martin - watching lava and sea water interact is hypnotic!

Wow!! Just like Stromboli's Sicilian first cousin Mount Etna! Nearly the same eruption characteristics, lava flow and chemical composition!

Considering that Stromboli is well known for "intermittent" or "impulsive" eruptions and to produce a steady lava stream like this one, there must have been many basaltic eruptions occurring over several days.

Nice footage like always. It's only on rare occasions one sees lava flows on Stromboli.

Maurtin.

"Stromboli is a small island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, off the north coast of Sicily, containing one of the three active volcanoes in Italy..."

With the situation in Hawaii and now Indonesia with anak krakatau I wood have to say that it appears that the Great Awakening has already started we ar not even 25 years into this new century and volcanoes are already starting to either wake up or increas in activity it was a few months after a sizable eruption before the 1883 major eruption of Krakatoa so keep your eyes on this Beast I don't think it's over not by a long shot. After thousands of years of Silence and Mild activities it would appear that the world's tectonic plates ar starting to give under the pressure who knows it may be the beginning or something I always Hoped Would Never Happen in our lifetime but we'll have to wait and see if for the next 8 months things continue to get worse everywhere then i believe we may be in the beginning phase of something a whole lot bigger then even the great Volcanic Awakening. And if so. This Will be the Times that. Will Teast what kind of Merritt Humanity really is made of but also bring out the true Evil and decency in humanity. But if not then we still have time left.
