Thought adverse comments pretty unfair. This young fella has all the enthusiasm he should have as a young guide and portrays the enjoyment of fly fishing well in my humble opinion.Have watched a couple of films he has presented and enjoyed them.Simon is good too just more of a been there seen it and done it approach which comes with age and experience. No offence Simon reckon I can give you a few years 😎.
Thanks for your feedback, you're so right. I think they both do a good job in their own different way, thats why we film them. Just trying to inspire, educate and entertain. Tight Lines and Keep watching.
@@jimimber164 No of coarse, i just thought the same when i saw a sign the other day saying 'Barbed only' then it dawned on me. I suppose some fisheries believe that a fish caught on a barbed hook is less likely to come off, which i suppose is true if fish care is not of any further importance once the fish is landed....next stop Priest. My entire fly box is barbless, i feel that the initial penetration of the hook is superior and that when played correctly hook holds are reasonably solid. But i fish the river so fish hook damage is a concern for me and i feel barbless do less damage especially juvenile fish. This is just my humble ramblings mind.
@@theflyguide9286 I didn't last the whole video and had to turn off after you described what I presume is an escapee rainbow from the lake as "a bar of silver". Each to their own I guess.

Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Could have done with your help today Lewis.
Why use barbed hooks?
You have to use barbed fishery rules, there's no catch and release. this is common practice at fish per ticket fisheries.
@@marklamude2355 Not all fish per ticket fisheries. At least not up here in the North East.

@@marklamude2355 I totally agree.
Your other presenter, Simon, is calm and delivers information in a measured and less frantic manner. Much more watchable.
I guess I can’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But thanks for watching 🎣
