In that song he finds someone who gives him meaning in life and he looks forward to growing old instead of dreading it like in this song. this song hits hard after watching my grandfather develop dementia and watching my parents coming to terms with that and recently when i visited my grandma she was checking the obituaries in the newspaper to see if anyone she knows had died, i can't imagine getting to that point in my life. Tyler talks about one of his grandfathers not recognising him before he died in a later song of theirs, Legend, that's really beautiful. i think at times it can be confronting to think about the passing of time and family dying and getting older yourself but i like how the lyrics kinda contrast the upbeat melody and i think it's a topic we shouldn't shy away from talking about because it happens to everyone, it's a part of life.

I do enjoy these types of videos. Music always calms my anxiety down. I always listen to Truce by twenty one pilots every time before I go under general anesthesia so I always end my consciousness with someone telling me it’s gonna be ok
@@GM15_Official I have Crohn’s disease so they constantly have to do checkups cus it got really aggressive. Also had emergency surgery a year ago so I’ve got a stoma bag for now. But I also suffer from severe depression and anxiety and have some form of PTSD from last year I believe. Then I have some sensory issues due to my autism so it’s a lot. So every time I gotta do a colonoscopy or gastroscopy I have to go under so I don’t freak out or hurt myself or someone else
