Andre Rison played in the same era as Jerry Rice Chris Carter Michael Irvin Tim Brown Sterling Sharpe Andre Reed 90 to 94 he was in that same tier please do Herman Moore next your videos are great
I felt bad when no one picked him up after his time with the Raiders ended, but I never knew about his substance abuse policy violation despite HAVING the internet back then - 2001. I don’t know about him going to the HOF, but the 1990s and 2000s were the true golden age of wide receivers, and Andre proved it.
Rison is still one of my favorites, but everyone knows Rice was on that tier no one could reach. Well except Deion, but back to Mr. Rison he should be a HOF'er.
@17thN.O the fact that not only are you from my city but my ward and seem like you came up in our era.. bro I was a big time bad moon fan but more of a PRIMETIME fan but love both they're swag they both change the game with they're style of brash play & sound with having rap music being added to the game because nobody had ever did that before either of them.. bad moon was the Odell Beckham before Odell Beckham
I love these videos.. Do you think you can do one on Jeremy Shockey.. Played TE for the Giants, Saints and Panthers.. And he went to college at the University of Miami.. He also was the 14th pick in the 2002 NFL Draft
Andre Rison was a good football player during his career, so he played for various teams before retiring from the NFL. He was everything that we wanted in a wideout. He had the potential to be a pass-catching machine as well as a great route runner. He was known for his speed, agility, and ability to make big plays, making him one of the top receivers of his time.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
As a lifelong Saints fan I hate the Falcons, but I also respected them and knew that we was in for a battle and would lose to them a lot. Those 90's Falcons destroyed us most of the time. They beat us with some of our own guys (Bobby Hebert, Ironhead Heyward and Morton Andersen). In New Orleans we really hated them then.
@@bigglilwayne7050 Both were emotional, brash and misunderstood. Both played good in the 1 Super Bowl they won. Both are underrated after their careers ended but were well known when they played. Both were good on multiple different teams.
@@terrancesmith428 Rison never came close to matching his production in Atlanta, Watters production actually went up after he left San Fran... Based off your criteria, the first player that comes to mind is the original Romo, Bill Romanowski....
Another top profile done. You always do your homework and I respect the detail to your content as a history buff. Rison was a good player. Hopefully one day we get one for his QB. Jeff George. One of the strongest arms in NFL history. It's not debateable lol but his attitude was for sure. As a Washington fan, it's sad he never got to throw here while trying to play Martyball (Schottenheimer)
Jerry Rice and Andre Rison is the perfect example making the most of your talent. Both had a fairly equally level of natural talent. Jerry worked at his craft WWWAAAYYY more than Andre ever dreamed of. Rison is one of those guys who coasted on his natural talent. It doesn't surprise me in the least if there are football fans under the age of 35 that don't know how awesome Rison was. P.S. before anyone comes after me, I still think Jerry Rice had a bit more natural talent than Andre Rison. I just want to give Rison his due, positively and negatively.
Yeah man, Andre Rison on ESPN Broke was tough to watch. Even though it wasn't that surprising cuz he used to be around all the highrollers and highspenders without having the same kinda bread or good relationships with others that would help him keep the bread coming in. That and (you know who) burning down his mansion.
I always wonder how good the Jacksonville Jaguars would have been had he had his head on right, looking at how Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell worked out…Jacksonville would have been hard to beat
I'm a Falcons fan... The ONLY thing Andre Rison and Jerry Rice had in common was the position they played... He needs to be smacked for even saying that ish.
Yea.. you right because name the hall of fame QB's y'all trash 🗑️@$$ team had while he was there or defense or coach ? Even though he still didn't have any of that while playing for y'all trash @$$ team he still has better season statistically then Jerry Rice and when he finally got all that he won a Superbowl with the packers in a half of a season.. all Jerry Rice was a uncle tom in the eyes of the media and people like you 💯👍
I mean, it's often guys from inner cities who struggle with life outside of the pro sport they play. Inner cities , like DeShawn or andre not Andrew or matt
"There is nothing Jerry Rice can do that I couldn't." Yeah, except play for over 20 years, win 3 super bowls make the hall of fame and only set every single receiving record of importance and go down as the greatest player in nfl history.
So I looked up every game in Rice career from 85-98(his prime) started by guys not named Joe Montana or Steve Young this includes guys named Mike Moriski, Jeff Kemp, Steve Bono, Elvis Grbac and GOAT Ty Detmer. 25 games total, if his 1st 16 was a season, his numbers would be 78 receptions 1,330 yards and 15 TDs. The next 9 games 63 receptions, 962 yards and 8 tds. Yeah..he was like that regardless of QB.
@leonzaduncan now name the coaches in that time.. bill Walsh, George Scheifer.. both hall of fame coaches and that's not naming the staff .. with hall of fame coaches on it

Andre Rison is just under the HOF threshold. Dude’s a legend. But not quite HOF tier. If he were to ever get in nobody would have a problem with it.
Andre Rison played in the same era as Jerry Rice Chris Carter Michael Irvin Tim Brown Sterling Sharpe Andre Reed 90 to 94 he was in that same tier please do Herman Moore next your videos are great

Both Herman Moore and Brett Perriman!

Would you prefer if he played in the same Era as Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Torry Holt?
Don’t forget about the guys down in Houston, Haywood Jeffries and Ernest Givins.

I always wondered why he wasn't retained until today
Man, those early 90s Falcons with Chris Miller at QB were a lot of fun to watch.
Rison was nice.
MC Breed (from Flint) fimed I Gotta Get Mine at Rison's house.
Whether it's rhyme or crime I gotta get mines!
Man I always thought Breed was from the west coast , u learn something new everyday
I used to have Rison's Cleveland Browns Jersey when i was a teen
Flint Michigan in the house..... Requested this a while back
Mad Moon Rison was one of my favorite players.

As a spiderman fan, him being one as well and even doing his famous shooting web hand signal when he scored td made an instant fan of his
Loved me some Andre "Spiderman" Rison. He was a dawg. I am glad he won a championship ring and was a big part of that victory.

Rison definitely earned a Gold Jacket weather the critics like him or not bro has the numbers and play to back it up. Definitely a Legend either way
Nah fam. Rison was a dawg but not a HOF
I had no idea he was this good. I knew he was a name, but damn, hes bordeline HOF
Yessir. One of the greatest to ever do it!
He was a player. Big time player.
Falcons really drafted some legendry players and traded them.

He was like Antonio Brown before Antonio Brown. Minus gaudy receiving stats of the current era. I forgot he won a Superbowl ring

Rison worked hard. You can say what you said about most great players compared to Rice. Rice is the greatest football player ever.
To record 10,000 receiving yards in the NFL is amazing accomplishment

He probably gets a nice pension check from the NFL. Can't live like a star but can afford basic living costs.

Andre Rison represented everything awesome and not so awesome about the early 1990s.
Should do one on my boy Ricky Clemmons. Played basketball for Mizzou

I agree but there are things Kerry Rice did that you didn’t. He’s got a real chip on his shoulder for Jerry.

The only thing Andre Rison has on Jerry Rice is the number of mansions burned down by psycho women. In that department it’s Andre - 1, Jerry - 0

how about win a few super bowls, set the TD receiving record and, of course, not get his house set on fire by his woman.
