I'm envious of your garden, not the guitars, pedals, mixer, just the garden! What a great place.

Thanks for the comment David. Honestly - It's all Nikki that deserves credit for the garden. I do a few bits like this, but she actually plans the whole thing out and does most of the work. She's awesome.

I have the City Picker which is the exact same thing, except it's from Home Depot instead of Lowes. That tube drove me crazy in trying to make it stand up, until I realized the soil will do that. My other raised garden, the tube locks in without the need for soil. Pickers should mention in the directions that the tube doesn't lock in place until it's filled with soil.

Great that you followed the directions!!! I’ve had more success with this patio picker than anything I’ve ever used before. I followed the directions too And the only change I made was to I add rock dust because I want my plants to uptake minerals. Thanks for the video ❤️🙏❤️

Hey Tony, just happened to search the patio pickers instructions and there you are! We are loving Hickory! Jana and Dan from Oregon!

I’m actually about to go buy one of these Patio Pickers for myself! Thank you for the tutorial! Also, thank you for the comical conversation about farting! I was LOLing!

Just discovered your great and interesting channel. I just bought 2 of these planters, one for my daughter for mother’s day. Excited to get planting. Thank you for the motivation.

I didn't do the down the middle thing. I just used 3 inches of worm castings in one solid sheet layer. I used rice hulls instead of pearlite.

My box from Home Depot didn’t have the cover! Or instructions.

If i just used regular garden soil and grew in it like a regular planter would it still work?

I don't think it'll be self watering. Potting mix is self wicking that's why it has a tube. Potting soil will have to be watered with a watering can.

How much fertilizer did you use? Did you add dolamite?
