I would love to see you have a debate with a Mormon on standing for truth.
When I was young and already a born again Christian, the Mormons tried to recruit me. They said to read The Book of Mormon and to pray for guidance. As soon as I started reading it, I started having nightmares every night. I told them that and they never came back. 😄

Jerald Tanner died several years ago and Sandra Tanner is retired. But the ministry still has a web presence and can still get their materials. Also, they don’t have to save the symbols from underwear they just have to cut them out and ritually burn them. (They can’t touch the floor once cut out and they have to be burned in a metal container.)
I was LDS until 1989 and one thing I notice is that doctrine and what I was taught is not what today’s Mormon is taught. I bring up things that were readily taught back then to today’s Mormon and they either never heard it or tell me they never taught it. I’ve heard it said that you have to convert a Mormon to Mormonism before you can convert to Jesus Christ. Meaning that the true doctrines of the church are not being taught to today’s LDS. You have to show them the doctrines that are still in affect, things the church taught that never went away, convince them of the church they actually belong to before using a lot of the past quotes of their leaders. Just telling them doesn’t affect them because they were never taught certain doctrines. They tell me the church doesn’t believe such and such and I have to show them past history even from the ‘80s where a doctrine is taught and they get surprised. The world of Mormonism is an ever evolving church and they are a chameleon. They change colors to match the times. I could go on and on but I’ll stop here. I hope this wasn’t to confusing.

The church has distanced themselves from the book Mormon Doctrine. It binds them to something concrete. Now they distance from it so they can continue to change doctrine and keep members in confusion. What was taught then is not taught now kind of thing. I was always told (when I brought up an issue a former prophet or apostle said compared to something later) that “Remember that is just his opinion.” I would then ask, “Well, how am I to believe if our own leaders don’t know what they believe?” If it’s just the opinion of the leader then this is how the church works. They can’t be held down dogmatic to a doctrine because it’s just an “opinion”. So when you ask for a definitive doctrine statement from the church it rarely is given; so they can deny it later if needed. Take Brigham young stating that Adam is God. Taught from the pulpit and recorded in Journal of discourses. Spencer Kimball called it a “Theory” and was never taught.
A faith founded on revelations to someone by supernatural entities claiming divine knowlege is a faith I'll avoid.
"Why I'm Not: Mormon" Because I can't read the book and ask good if it's true, as I would loose my livelihood, and that is not something I'm willing to do for Jesus Christ.

I understand the wariness around "dark power" and "thick darkness", but see Psalm 18:11; 97:2.
While I agree about not adding to God's word, the "the prophecy of this book" is a specific reference to the prophecy that John is writing in a book. Revelation 1:3, 11; Revelation 22:18-19. Taking away would be something like, "You don't have to read Revelation, you won't be here," as though God would waste his time like that.

Both sexes have to wear it and the women’s underwear is definitely not sexy in any way. Women’s underwear is essentially the same as the men’s.
While I cannot speak for all Mormons, some of them also believe that you should not bother God with "trivial matters".
Preaching a doctrine that is misguided and actually evil, isn’t what I would call trivial.

Omg You continue saying the Lord told John not to add to the Bible. But there was no Bible yet formed then. You re repeating that falacy. Also declaring Joseph saw satan doesnt make it true. Joseph cannot prove he saw God. You cannot prove he saw Satan. Those are falacies. Please stop.

I just gotta say, I couldn't stop smiling during the entire video. You got a lot kind of right, but you got a lot wrong too :)
He got RLDS confused with LDS but it fits the LDS too. (Reorganized LDS for those who might read and not know. A splinter group. Which has now also changed from RLDS to just Church of Christ.) anyway, a lot of what he brought up was taught in the 70’s and 80’s and is glossed over in today’s teachings. I think he’s just bringing up different points of evidence rather than a systemic breakdown of every doctrine. I did find myself correcting him a little on most points too. Like RLDS, Utah Lighthouse Ministry not mission, The church no longer embracing the book Mormon Doctrine etc..
