When listening to the trailer of the Met Opera's performance of Verdi's Requiem for the anniversary of 911, the moment the first clarinetist played, my ears pricked up. I contacted them on FB as to what she plays and they kindly replied to say it was a Backun Lumiere, in grenadilla with cocobolo barrel and bell. I had never heard of Backun. This is now my dream instrument.
What mouthpiece/ligature/reed combination are you using here? Is this what you would recommend with this clarinet or do you find something else works better?

Could you compare the moba and lumiere clarinets?
could you talk about the bells? I'm thinking about getting a new bell and I'm not really sure what to get
