I realize this is an older video, but it just showed up for me while I was browsing. I bought this effect recently and agree with the review: this is a nice packet trick that's pretty easy to do, and it's less expensive than a lot of other packet tricks I've seen. Since I'm watching this about a year after you posted it, here are a few updates based on what I received. (1) I received red Rider back cards and someone else also mentioned this, so I guess this is how they're making the cards now. (2) The packaging was different for me: more like a cardboard DVD envelope. (3) Written instructions weren't included; instead, I got a link to an online video tutorial with a download option. Thanks for this and all your reviews.

Hi David. I still have all my Nick Trost and Brother John Hamman packet tricks from the 70's when I did all closeup card, coin, rope and item magic, working my way through grad school. Excellent effects. Thanks for a thoughtful, informative and enjoyable review!

Is Nick Trost's "Subtle Card Creations" book series the same as his "Subtle Card Magic" series that was spiral bound? Can anyone recommend the "Card Magic of Nick Trost" book? The summary says "contains all of his best effects"? Just wondered if the book was just a subset of the "Subtle..." series?
