    Excellent video. I just don't understand using the 2 PVC adapters in the process. Are you taking the cup off to dry using the couplings to facilitate removing it?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that is what I do. After the resin is set enough that it will not move, but before it is fully cured, I can remove it and start another tumbler. Thanks for watching!

    What a great tutorial! Most people would not show the mistakes- that was the best part! This way people would know what to try when it doesn't work. Thanks!

    Nice, now I’m ready to make mine, but I think I’ll router the edges. Do u think that’s too much for a turner?😊BTW gotta love Dewalt tools they are the best .

    What is a cup turner

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A cup turner is used when you add resin to a cup/tumbler. You have to keep turning the cut/tumbler while the resin is drying. Thank you for watching.

    What's is the purpose of a cup turner

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s for people who make resin tumblers. You have to spin the tumbler while the resin dries. Sorry I didn’t talk about that in the video.

    Mine wobbles ; moves up and down. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sounds like possibly the opening in the vertical support isn't quite aligned correctly with where the pvc pipe is connected to the other vertical support. Does it wobble before you put the football and cup on? If so, it's probably what I said above. If it doesn't wobble until the football and cup go on, then it could be that you're not getting the football/cup on straight.

    This is a very helpful video. Thank you for the detail. Perhaps I can make one with all the bazillion pieces of wood, screws, pvc pieces and ends and extra motors we have laying around here too. It’s cheaper than the $65 my daughter paid for one!!!

    What is a 5/16 4 mm screw? It’s the size you said you used in the cap to attach to motor

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a screw that is 5/16th inches long. I believe the 4 mm (millimeters) refers to the diameter, but honestly not sure if it's the head or the threads:) Ace Hardware sells them individually. If you have an Ace, you can tell them the size you need and they can help you find it.

      @@MakingwithMarilyn these motors are funny, they typically have a random direction everytime they are powered on. you can change the direction of rotation if you just firmly grab the shaft as if you want to stop it from turning, it will change directions.

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@corpusadenums512 Thank you for letting me know that trick! It was funny because I thought I had it figured out and that it would change direction with every click, but then sometimes it wouldn't. As you said, it was random. Thanks again!
