So cool of you to film this. This is exactly the kind of situations I look for. Such a cool thing. Had no idea this was done anywhere. Great job both thinking to get this and then posting for the world to enjoy.
How luxurious.. Just walk through the train past the corridors & end up in the pedestrian area, not having to mix up with the lorries. And the single ended tracks, quite uncommon. And still so many tracks on the ship, whereas the Puttgarden ferry has to do with only one. Worth a visit, good times to meet.
It's a smaller type ferry ship. In 1997 I was here, too. On that ship the trains have own deck, below the car deck. Before the landing in Trelleborg I started to find the train's deck. Everywhere only cars and trucks in a large hall. The shunting manager(?) said that the train's deck is lower. This was very fearful for me...
This is amazing to me. Meanwhile in America it takes 3-4 days to get anywhere on a passenger train and you are charged an outrageous amount of money. Not saying this is cheap, but hey - you get the point.
@JL261079 I have done this a couple of times with my parents but in the past I have taken the flight instead of this very comfortable way to Berlin. I will be going to Berlin with my female friend. She wanted some time to explore her new tech gadget, Nintendo 3DS :) What so nice about this, is you come to Berlin very early, like eight o'clock and you are well rested for an adventure in the great city :) Bon voyage!!

Now I want to see a ship rolling into a train
Would be great but No ship is small enough to fit into a train.
I'm sold on this one .. I'm thinking of incorporating this into my list of destination in my Summer holiday in June & July .. This looks great fun ..
Thank you for sharing this great travel option I will definately try this next time!!

Härligt ljud över skarvarna vid bron!

Wow that is cool!
Amazing but not surprising that they have a service like this in Europe.
why does the train go on, dosent it make more sense just to have a train waiting at the next destination
It's a night train so it convers all the trip during a night without having to get out of it so that you can sleep
@Scaredbusiness Great! Nice to read your comment. Have a good trip. :-)
in 75 I think we rode this into the DDR and then the CSSR.

Civilized travelling, european style, now if this also were true for the Western US?
what, the u.s. is civilized?? we have a greedy Hitler youth kid for president!!!
As someone who has family in Europe, I don't think Europeans really understand how massive the US is.
