I dreamt last night after staying up watching your video that the frunk did open, it was just hard to see and you needed to press it down at the front real hard and the lines surrounding the frunk would start appearing before it opend up. In the dream, I noticed this and got excited and called you up to tell you about it. You were super nice also and you invited me over to look at your other cars. Weird dream I'd say.

Ordered the roadster (model) today! As close as I am likely to having one.
When you get around to giving me my free ride in the Roadster that I have coming (from the referral of my Model S) please exercise a little restraint and don't open it up to the maximum 250 MPH until we are beyond the city limits.

I don't think the Roadster will be based on any existing platform, but the future Model S and X may be based on the Roadster.
I believe that the frunk in it due to the fact that the motors would tack up most of the slim nose, also the fact of a 600-mile range, it could be filled with batteries

I have seen so many pictures and videos about the roadster but not one person mention where the new charging port will be location. Looking at the rear taillights it doesn’t seem like it will be the same

I didn't know Tesla made die cast models, how cool. But $250 is a bit expensive, but they do look high quality.
I have all 5 1/18th scale Tesla models. They are part of my 1080 1/18th collection. I built a room addition to display the models in glass cases on glass shelves with mirror walls.

I think they probably will use a model 3 chassis, but instead of steel it’ll be aluminum or carbon. The model 3 chassis is already superb on the track... now shed weight, bigger battery, and add an extra motor! Perfection!

Nice discovery: Roadster 2. will have no frunk. BTW, that misspelled certificate means little without a signature and recorded unique serial number tying it to a car, because people copy both. Pawn shops get offered fake stuff a lot, with fake certificates.

Great model. But you must not be a model collector. Does it have a suspension? Are the wheels independently rotating? My models s has no working suspension and the rear wheels are on a straight toy axel. A bit disappointing since I paid close to $200 for it.
Any news on when production of the roadster starts and when yours might come? Can't wait to see what it runs at the track, the promised numbers are pure insanity!

Like you show, the Roaster is probably based on the model 3 chassis so even if double-stacked the 2170 cell packs would only get 150kw which would not get you a 620-mile range car. I know they could put more in the front but that could be a problem regarding handling? I'm thinking Elon was hoping to have a more energy-dense battery by the time its produced so probably the reason for the Maxwell acquisition? - we will see!
