R.I.P. Joe Flaherty....greatest parody show "EVER"!
So true!
This is so damn funny. That's the actual actor who played Jack Woltz in The Godfather. He's hilarious in this!
Eugene Levy is the actor playing Floyd in this parody of the Godfather . John Marley portrayed Jack Woltz in the original film of the Godfather.
@@deborahanderson8682and that’s John Marley, playing the same role
"I'm going to make him an offer that I think will be to his liking."
The Leonard Bernstein bit is hilarious. John Marley understood the assignment for sure, played it totally straight.
That Floyd the Barber impersonation by Eugene Levy was spot on. 😄👍
did you see the episode where Merv griffin interveiws Floyd the barber and they both keep saying oooooohhh
Floyd the Barber?! Oh man, this is brilliant!
Good song
This is NOWHERE NEAR Eugene's best Floyd the Barber impersonation but, this whole skit is hilarious
OMG Floyd the barber was hysterical 😂😂😂 the godfather sketch was the funniest sketches I've ever seen everybody on the show played parts .....so so funny 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
"Opie's been hanging around with thome THUGTHS".
Gene could do Floyd before and after the stroke.
The entire cast was brilliant. Lighting in a bottle.
Never let anyone outside the family know what your favorite sport is. I agree.
One of the funniest lines I've ever heard "he's making a beline for the lasagna"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"We'll control the Pay TV. We'll control the Free TV. We'll control it all." How prescient.
I knew I’d like this. I’ve heard about it for years but now this is a goldmine.
Eugene's barber is the stuff of legends.
I love the way he held that note at the End .. he was turning red😂😂😂😂😂
Hands down, the greatest parody of a film I have ever seen!
Even better than Dr. Tongue and Bruno in Midnight Cowboy in 3D?
@@colinwilson4609 Sorry. I misspoke.😬
I agree. This is great but you got to see on the waterfront again with Bob bittman and Lola heatherton
What a great sport John Marley was!..I love any actor who can make fun of himself...and enjoy doing it.
I remember this from when I was a kid; I practically know the script. Thanks for uploading this 24 karat comedy gold.
I just can't believe that a sketch like that only got 31k views !!!!!!!!!!!?
3mos later: 48.4k! Not to shabby.
John Candy was brilliant. No provolone for you Godfather
"You know my policy , no talking to strangers in the stable"
I can't believe they got , John Marley !
He was so traumatized from the actual scene from , The Godfather
really
One of his last acting rolls
@@Bertha-pm4xt yes he was a huge animal lover
Post stroke Floyd in the Godfather. Priceless!
He's making a beeline right for the lasagna!
The only media network that did not sell out hahaha SCTV
SCTV was such a great great show, so ahead of its time!! And really underrated!!!
This episode is epic in so many ways. Must have been a longer than normal shoot for a comedy skit show. Guest star John Marley and all the extras
Just a great parody from a great movie by a great show overall. Thanks for so many laughs. I watched from the beginning season one and two filmed in TO. I live in Edmonton where this season was filmed. Saw the filming of episodes a couple of times in 81. Man I'm getting old😂. Better have a puff 🪴
I love them all. The best Canadian export ever!
No words other than BRILLIANT! Such talent!
This had me laughing so hard that i was in tears. Amazing stuff.
My all time favorite show!
on 2nd thought i dont think they broke the pole LOL
Funnier than Godfather 1 & 2, and more moving than Godfather 3.
Season 4 was so great. Everyone in the cast was at the top of their acting and writing game, and their impressions were great and often hilarious.
I feel like some of Dave Thomas' impressions fly under the radar when he's playing it kind of straight and not actively being hilarious, like he is when he plays Bob Hope. His Robert Duvall impression is pretty straight, and I think it's quite good.
All right, let's hear it!!!
This was absolutely amazing!
The reason every complete episode is not available on DVD is that they used to steal music for their scenes from all over. They would just "borrow" it from Star Wars and any other movie they found. So the royalty rights would be too much for them to afford.
Floyd was a loon wanted opie wack for breaking his barber pole. 😂
Love JLR in Polynesian Town!!! Can’t forget Larry Siegel…Mr Larry, Mr Siegel!!!
After all these years it's still on Ugazzo home vision aka Netflix.
The bit where Pavarotti is singing, is a parody of/ borrowed from/stolen from/homage to an old Bugs Bunny cartoon.
That's right. Brilliant for them to think of that.
They got "Ugazzo" on TV! 😂😂😂
Awesome stuff
So funny
Ugazzo sports is basically TSN today.
So stupid. So silly. And so darned funny! It's like a bunch of the smartest guys in the room got together and said, "Hey, let's make a take-off on The Godfather!". Yeah, baby!
SCTV KICKED SNL ASS LIKE A PUNK!!!
I wish Johnny LaRue were the family consigliere.
That's nice, opera singer
Lasagna two nights in a row, they say its moo, but I'm looking for the Gai. Sawadee Khap 🤠
Eugene levy was so fuckin talented. He could do anything back in the day. In his prime.
I swore the thumbnail was John Candy doing Pavoratti
They forgot Fredo, Clemenza, Tessio, Carlo, Will Cicci, Kay Adam's and Mrs. Corleone
Carlo was included. Don't you remember him slapping Connie around during the wedding reception?
Birkney Diamonds! A famous Canadian jewelry store is Birks
The bandleader woulda been a perfect tom hagen!
I love Mrs Prickly
Comedy Gold!
Levy the barber sounds just like that College Humor Batman guy.
John Marley & Al Martini cameos
Ugazzo home visual lol
Was this before or after Johnny Pavorotti recorded the cover of Stairway to Heaven?
this was 6 months before Stairway
Susan is so cute❤❤
"oh, Lenny"
PuT your MONey Where your HEART IS 🎵🎶
What song was Johnny Pavarotti singing?
"Di Quella Pira"
[Verdi: Il trovatore, Act III]

Should have listened to the Turk, they would have ground-floored soccer, curling and Bollywood in the US for a start.
Funny ,funny , funny,
This isn’t the first programs. I wonder where those are.
The Don is on TV
Back in the days when you could joke and laugh about domestic violence and not be shipped off to a re-education camp in Montana.
All my living family live in Canada. My father died In Iowa many years ago.
On the lam?
TV should be free. Non siamo animali.
I don't see Tom Hagan and Fredo
Tom: 12:48
Only thing is this Floyd is after Howard McNear had a stroke. Bet the SCTV guys never knew that.
???
what do you mean?
of course they knew it, they were making fun of it
(???)
What year is this ?
December 11, 1981
@Big_K_316 thank you
Was there an "F" shot in this? Not sure..? 6:11 into the video...? Anyone else hear it!

"Consider giving S King a rest. The ol' boy needs one. Read something FRESH. Read something BETTER … most DANGERous haunt on Earth. Not fun. TH-cam: Joseph Smith HORROR mansion”
Why are you advertising another channel in the comments section of an SCTV video?
Wow! those andrea martin lesbian skits seem pretty awful now.
Funnier than ever.
Wow! If you don't have a sense of humor, you ain't got much.
Love JLR in Polynesian Town!!! Can’t forget Larry Siegel…Mr Larry, Mr Siegel!!!
