As someone who wants to be a father someday, I've been worried about what to do if my future children turn away from God. 19:03 really spoke to me. "Setting an example" REALLY applies here, since you're showing them why it's good to follow God, instead of just telling them that they should.
Putting this video out while I got issue with my mom tell me it ain't a coincidence, I hope you will do one about how to be a good mother because this video is really interesting
Man Miles Dad was one smart man to train his kid with a gun at young age. While the hope is that Miles will never have to use it, you always need to be prepared for anything. 2020 has taught us this and life in general 💯!!! So in case Miles father is reading good job sir, you’ve trained your son well in both the Lord and firearm safety🙏🏾💯❤️!!!
Also, my dad (no name shown) is sometimes a very poor role model, and I feel as if he loves me more than God. I'm hoping that I can be a much better father in the future, and I wish the best for my dad.
I wish my parents worked things out a little better… a narcissist handyman came in & stole my mom’s love away from my dad through sympathy. I was upset & I still feel the bitterness to this day.

I've spent most of my adult life afraid of not being able to be a good father. I feel so inadequate, not strong enough, not a good enough example. But I'm praying for God to make me more and more into the type of man that can be a good husband and father.
About those love languages, if I can expand that: I think the deeper point isn’t “know your partner’s love language and filter it through the book’s description of them.” I think it’s “know what your parter appreciates and values and show love to them through that.” Hope this helps!
Greetings Miles' Dad! May God bless you and your family! You've been a great Dad to Miles and I can see how your love and obedience to God the Father has led your family to be a great blessing to many! Praise God! ❤️🙏🏻
Hi, Miles' dad :) You have raised him incredibly by the grace God has given you, and you should be very proud of him. He has been such a blessing in my walk with Christ. You have been a blessing to him and he will be too for his future children and wife. Thank you.
I found out why my parents divorced, it took a bit but I forgave them. But, I still can’t shake off that one thought. *They never thought of me when signing that paper*
I would encourage any dad or son to read Wild at Heart by John Eldridge, a Christian book about how God designed the heart of man when he created them and how we are wounded in this broken world. You talking about wishing your dad would come to your games reminded me of this book. In John's sequel book to WAH he talks about how the deepest desire every every young boy is to know that he is the beloved son, the apple of his dad's eye. These books have been incredibly healing for me, and I pray that someone will read this who needs those books. God bless.
the last point is my favorite because i want to join the marines and get a motorcycle and live my life but my mom doesn’t want me to and i love God and my mom but she just needs to realize that i’m 19 and im basically a young adult and can start making my own decisions even if she doesn’t like them
I was just struggling extra this week and even just had a conversation with my wife about having kids. I grew up in a bad home and my dad was not present in the home. So this video was an encouragement to me.
Your dad sounds amazing! It's really difficult for some of us that had really awful fathers to relate to a parent like the one you're describing in this video.
My father died violently in front of me at the ripe old age of 9 years old. Having an absent and then abusive step father when my Mom remarried, God our heavenly Father is/was my Father. I have been a single father since my divorce, my starter wife when I retired from my beloved Marine Corps, and it's different with identical twin son's and being a single divorced father. I haven't always led by example, as a good Marine should. Having been a lukewarm Christian after my last deployment, I was so razzled out, I gave up. One foot in one foot out for years. God has renewed my joy for salvation. My twins are baptized and being confirmed. He is long-suffering and patient for our sake. In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!
Sir your son has helped me follow God so much thank you so much for fathering him and thank you for raising him GOD BLESS HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
Thank you Miles and thank you Miles his Dad. You have raised a great son and you can be proud of him. Thank you Miles for sharing your personal story. I have been struggling for so long and needed guidance but was so lost on my journey as a father. Your story has been of great value. God bless you and your family. Godspeed. I am truly grateful.
Thank you so much for this video! And more thank to the man who respected and encouraged his son to support his mission and to open this TH-cam channel!!
If God puts it on your heart, please make a video for single parents. I really like your videos. I was able to get some great information from this one. I’m a single mother, and it would be great to hear more about how I should approach parenting my son. Also, it would be great to see a video geared towards teens and young adults about how to have a fruitful relationship with their parents. God is using you!
this video spoke to me in such a powerful way. i currently have a dog that i look at almost like a son to me, and i haven’t been the most responsible “father” in that way, where i would be lazy or start preferring my wants over his needs. i would think about my urge to do that and worry how my behaviors would affect how i would treat my kids if/when i have them, but recently i’ve started buckling down on that habit and placed more effort to do what i’m supposed to. i have no one else but God to thank for that, and for directing me to this channel. i need to be placing more faith in God throughout my life, and your videos have helped me without fail in steering me back where i’m supposed to be. thank you so much. God first

Thank you so much. As a guy that almost turning 20, this will use this along with many others out there to learn how to be a good dad. I'm not quite sure if I want kids yet, but once again, this vid can be useful those who will. God bless you.
Point 5 really touched me; I do have a dad, but he never took his time to teach & talk to me about practical things in life; and that really damaged and hurt me negatively in life. And now I'm working on fixing that part before I could have a family by the grace of God. I'm praying to God that it work's out. If I didn't knowJesus✝️ I would have been totally lost.
I'm an 18 year old guy, I've always dreamed of having a family. Thank you for this video and for giving me tips on how to be a good dad in the future. When the time comes, I'll revisit this video. I'll help my kids become humble and kind hearted and patient just like Jesus was. I can't wait to have a small family with the person I love one day
I absolutely love these videos. Smart, awesome and most of all, the teachings are straight from God's Word. Thank you all at IVM ❤️❤️ You are phenomenal teachers and I'm super grateful I found you! Isn't God good to us ❤
Not a dad myself (yet!) but I *have* taken on some dad-like roles. I've volunteered with my church's kids program and as a summer camp counselor. And my first camper asked me a question that was more intelligent than he knew: "Oh, Joe, from the ice cream social! Can I call you Uncle Joe?" That's how I think of myself now when I'm playing these roles. I am not the father, I am not the babysitter, I am not just the friend or the boring adult in the room, I am the uncle. The fun one. The uncle they want to hang out with, not the one they have to be with because I'm the caretaker. My kids (and I use that term loosely) are not hanging out with me because they have to, they're hanging out with me because they want to. The kids I work with at church are excited to see me every week. I'm at church mostly on Wednesday nights while the adults have their Bible studies, and I heard a story of one family who wasn't going to come one week because the parents' study was cancelled, but the kids BEGGED to come anyway. We have campers keeping a countdown all year of the days until they can go back to camp. I've been told I'm one of the best counselors there. All in all, the kids I work with REALLY seem to love me. So if you're in a similar role, where you are an occasional caretaker to children but not their father, remember this first rule: *Think of yourself as the fun uncle.* (Or aunt, depending on your gender. Or grauntie / great-aunt or grunkle / great-uncle, depending on your age.) The second rule is about what you should be doing. You should be having fun yourself -- the last thing you should do is treat it like a job, because then you miss the genuine relationships with the kids in favor of the poor attitude that working with kids is boring, stupid, and/or exhausting. But you can't enjoy it so much that you neglect your duties as the adult in the room. The rule here is to *have almost as much fun as the kids.* I say almost, because there are times when you should be participating in games and activities with them and playing with them, but there are also times when you should be facilitating their own enjoyment of the time you have together or keeping them safe. And you should be ready to switch between those at a moment's notice. The third rule is about your relationship to the kids. Act as though the kids are your friends, and they will be your friends. Form a genuine connection with the kids you serve. Work to understand them as you would work to understand a friend. Talk at their level, but don't talk down to them because they are kids. I find that physically making myself lower, at their eye level, builds trust. Also, keep your word. Kids have very sensitive lie detectors. So the third rule is *Genuinely love the kids.* And the ultimate rule? It sums up all the others nicely, and is applicable to all of life. It's a rule that needs no explanation, so I'll just say it: *What Would Jesus Do?* Sometimes you want to ask variations of this question, like "What Would Jesus Say?" or "What Would Jesus NOT Do / Say?" But the point is the same. And if you're having trouble with this one, remember: *Jesus Loves The Little Children!*
my dad when i was a kid he actually ignored most of me and my sibling due to work and he had alot of anger issues i felt much closer and comfortable with my mom i didnt want to be like my dad my dad was a catholic and my mother was a christian my dad tried to kind of threaten me into being a catholic and my mother said that its my choice and so i saw she was patient and accepting so i became a christian i promise to be a better father in the future and stick close to my daughter/son
i hope your dad is doing good, i hope him a good day, we all must take example from God The Father, for our Heavenly Father shows us the best influence, and we can pray for them to give us wisdom, and we can pray for them to help us love others, as he loves us.
I love my 2 boys more than anything on earth. I'm trying to teach them how not to let anger get to them and to be calm and show love no matter who they are. Not easy but I'm sure repetition we'll get there. But I'm learning this all from our heavenly fathers word. They both know about god and they know that god lives them and my youngest said to me daddy I hope u don't mind but I love god more than u. And I said thats perfect that I wouldn't want it any other way. 😀❤ God bless u and all and thank u for these great videos.
I didn't see this point made in your video, so I'll make it here: Your children will automatically believe that their Heavenly Father (God) is JUST LIKE their Earthly father (you), so be the man you want them to believe God to be. And if your children reject the faith &/or walk away from God at some point in their lives, you, Dad, need to humbly, sincerely, & genuinely seek God to find out what you did to make them decide that God, their Heavenly Father, is someone they don't want in their lives because the Father they are REALLY rejecting IS YOU!
Your right parents should not play favorites. I have seen this one MSA story where the dad played favorites he was nice to Mishi but verbally abused Biku which tore the siblings against each other. Mishi would belittle Biku and see him as beneath her and Biku would pull mean pranks on Mishi. All parents should treat their kids equally cause playing favorites will cause resentment and hatred between siblings. All parents must love their kids and make sure each of them get love and attention by the parents

I just looked this up a little earlier to study up for the future to be a dad and this is a great blessing
Hi Dad! You have done a fabulous job in raising a strong man of God! One day, he will be a fantastic husband and dad! 😊✝️
Hi dad, thanks for raising Myles in a best way as you can. Thanks Myles dad
Great job, Myles Dad ✝️🤓👍
thank you for your support :)
I'm only 16 but I will promise to follow this video in 15 years give or take. Hi to your dad from México
Hi Miles Dad ! Thanks for being a good dad for your son. Jesus Loves you !
Also, my dad (no name shown) is sometimes a very poor role model, and I feel as if he loves me more than God. I'm hoping that I can be a much better father in the future, and I wish the best for my dad.
I'm considering adopting a child in the future if I don't get married. I want to show the same love that Jesus gave to His disciples.
HI DAD❤
I wish my parents worked things out a little better… a narcissist handyman came in & stole my mom’s love away from my dad through sympathy. I was upset & I still feel the bitterness to this day.
I love how he included The Lord being an example of a good father ❤
Im 19 and hope to be a father one day. This video really helped thank you
hes gonna be such a good dad
Thanks, I will be wayching this video everyday from now on and learningg from this aswell as prayer. This is what i neeeded
thank you so much for your support :) im glad our video helped!
I went to a deliverance yesterday and they prayed that I would be a good leader and father of my household.😊 woke up this morning with this video popping up in my feed. Praise God!
im so glad i have a good dad, he inspired me to learn my creative skills, he was a good example, and he invited me to church, and he as an amazing testimony
Hi Miles's Dad! Thank you for being a Godly father and respecting his decision. Thank you! His guidance through the Holy Spirit in his videos, have helped me and many others, especially students that I share his videos with in ways that we can't explain. May God bless you all abundantly. Praise God 🙌🏻🙏🏻🕊️✨❤️🇮🇳
I've spent most of my adult life afraid of not being able to be a good father. I feel so inadequate, not strong enough, not a good enough example. But I'm praying for God to make me more and more into the type of man that can be a good husband and father.
Jesus loves you too guys❤😢 I actually cried...oh gosh. Like, I really love my dad and yours...he's so cool. Thank God for our dads😭💔
Praise God! ❤️🙏🏻
Hi dad! You raised a good son.
What are critical hit from God to me. But May God Bless Everyone Have Faith In Christ Amen 🙏✝️❤️
Hi DAD thank you for raising an Amazing son 😭❤️🙏
Hi, Miles' dad :)
You have raised him incredibly by the grace God has given you, and you should be very proud of him. He has been such a blessing in my walk with Christ. You have been a blessing to him and he will be too for his future children and wife. Thank you.
Same my dad makes me do chores like crazy you are very right 😅😊🎉
I found out why my parents divorced, it took a bit but I forgave them.
But, I still can’t shake off that one thought.
*They never thought of me when signing that paper*
I'm sorry to hear that, remember that God loves you ✝️
@@LucasIvey-pl7lv
I know that 100%
Bless you friend 🗣️✝️
My parents got divorced and I had the expect same experience was you :(
I would encourage any dad or son to read Wild at Heart by John Eldridge, a Christian book about how God designed the heart of man when he created them and how we are wounded in this broken world.
The Lord used this to sow in to me and impacted me greatly thank you for being obedient to Him. He is definitely using and working through you
Sir your son has helped me follow God so much thank you so much for fathering him and thank you for raising him GOD BLESS HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
God bless your mom and dad
Thank you Miles and thank you Miles his Dad.
You have raised a great son and you can be proud of him.
Thank you Miles for sharing your personal story.
I have been struggling for so long and needed guidance but was so lost on my journey as a father.
Your story has been of great value.
God bless you and your family.
Godspeed.
I am truly grateful.
Hello Miles' dad lol not that I need to say it, but you should absolutely be proud. Your son is doing God's work and it's greatly appreciated
Apologize. To be a good dad, you need to know how to apologize. My dad was a great dad who always said he was sorry if he messed up. I love my dad❤
this video spoke to me in such a powerful way. i currently have a dog that i look at almost like a son to me, and i haven’t been the most responsible “father” in that way, where i would be lazy or start preferring my wants over his needs. i would think about my urge to do that and worry how my behaviors would affect how i would treat my kids if/when i have them, but recently i’ve started buckling down on that habit and placed more effort to do what i’m supposed to. i have no one else but God to thank for that, and for directing me to this channel. i need to be placing more faith in God throughout my life, and your videos have helped me without fail in steering me back where i’m supposed to be. thank you so much. God first
Okay dude, just take a moment for reading this encouragement. You Are Gifted. It's amazing how you represent Bible knowledge, Christian Lifestyle, and just Truth. You deeply touch me with the talent you received from our Lord and God almighty!!! WHooo.
Btw; I found your channel just today, and I already watched about 5 vids. keep them coming man!
AND I hope and I'll pray for you that you may find enjoyment in the work you do, in your way of serving our God. You are filling you're place in the body of Christ and you support your fellow christians in their place. You are helping me on my journey.
Sooo, that's it. I hope my English writing is good enough to understand. 😆
Allright that's it for tonight.
Bless you!
- Brother Ruben
You're going to be a great father man!
I really like the point about different types of love. It's so important to understand children personally and to take genuine time to do so.
Love your videos man, for sure saved me in some of my lowest moments.
Thank you so much. As a guy that almost turning 20, this will use this along with many others out there to learn how to be a good dad.
I'm not quite sure if I want kids yet, but once again, this vid can be useful those who will. God bless you.
Hi Dad thank you for your son for training him I’m crying because i understanding now what I need to be salamat
Hello to your dad!
Great job, very proud of who your son has become.
God bless you all!
18:38 HELLO 👋👋👋👋👋👋 I hope you guys have a blessing day!!! And God he loves you guys 💖💖
I Love You Holy Spirit I Love You Father I Love You Jesus Jesus is the LORD
Thank you all at IVM ❤️❤️
You are phenomenal teachers and I'm super grateful I found you!
Isn't God good to us ❤
Not a dad myself (yet!) but I *have* taken on some dad-like roles. I've volunteered with my church's kids program and as a summer camp counselor. And my first camper asked me a question that was more intelligent than he knew:
"Oh, Joe, from the ice cream social! Can I call you Uncle Joe?"
That's how I think of myself now when I'm playing these roles.
So if you're in a similar role, where you are an occasional caretaker to children but not their father, remember this first rule: *Think of yourself as the fun uncle.*
(Or aunt, depending on your gender. Or grauntie / great-aunt or grunkle / great-uncle, depending on your age.)
The second rule is about what you should be doing.
The rule here is to *have almost as much fun as the kids.*
I say almost, because there are times when you should be participating in games and activities with them and playing with them, but there are also times when you should be facilitating their own enjoyment of the time you have together or keeping them safe.
So the third rule is *Genuinely love the kids.*
And the ultimate rule? It sums up all the others nicely, and is applicable to all of life. It's a rule that needs no explanation, so I'll just say it: *What Would Jesus Do?*
Sometimes you want to ask variations of this question, like "What Would Jesus Say?" or "What Would Jesus NOT Do / Say?" But the point is the same. And if you're having trouble with this one, remember: *Jesus Loves The Little Children!*
Hi Myles’ dad. Your son’s teaching has been a real blessing to me. You did a great job and thank you. Stay blessed 🙏🏽
This is a good video for me since I want to be a dad one day and I need to learn how to be a good one.
my dad when i was a kid he actually ignored most of me and my sibling due to work and he had alot of anger issues i felt much closer and comfortable with my mom i didnt want to be like my dad my dad was a catholic and my mother was a christian my dad tried to kind of threaten me into being a catholic and my mother said that its my choice and so i saw she was patient and accepting so i became a christian i promise to be a better father in the future and stick close to my daughter/son
This sounds like my husband...kinda frustrating. Wish he would've had a better example and so be a better example. Good thing you know what to do
i hope your dad is doing good, i hope him a good day, we all must take example from God The Father, for our Heavenly Father shows us the best influence, and we can pray for them to give us wisdom, and we can pray for them to help us love others, as he loves us.
I’m 20 and in the military with a 1 year old daughter . I’m scared to fail her as a father, thank you for this video
Thanks! Jesus loves you!
thank you :)
This is so good. One of my greatest dreams is to be a father. And this video is full of amazing advice. :)
This was great 👍🏽 hello Dad. I thank the Lord for Dads like you and every blessing we received from your Son’s video. Thanks again Amen 🙏🏽 ❤️
God bless you man.✝️💖
I didn't see this point made in your video, so I'll make it here:
Your children will automatically believe that their Heavenly Father (God) is JUST LIKE their Earthly father (you), so be the man you want them to believe God to be.
Thanks Dad for raising an awesome son. God bless 🙏
I am bingewatching these videos.
God bless 🙏🙏🙏
Greetings from Brazil🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Your right parents should not play favorites. I have seen this one MSA story where the dad played favorites he was nice to Mishi but verbally abused Biku which tore the siblings against each other. Mishi would belittle Biku and see him as beneath her and Biku would pull mean pranks on Mishi. All parents should treat their kids equally cause playing favorites will cause resentment and hatred between siblings. All parents must love their kids and make sure each of them get love and attention by the parents
expecting a daughter in August! very timely. God bless!
God has promised me a child 🎉 I need to be a good father
This word is on time 😂
I recently got married to my husband in the presence of God and we are looking forward to having a baby. I am looking forward for videos on how to become a godly mother.
