I can't imagine there is anything there that is more beautiful that what I have seen in the Bahamas, (Castaway Cay) and the Grand Cayman Islands, but I really enjoyed your trip videos there.
Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous! It's a different kind of tropical -- it's magical, mystical, absolutely breathtaking. I know Hawaii is really far for people from the eastern U.S. -- about 12 hours direct, or more with connections and layovers. But Hawaii is truly spectacular!
Hi Michael, I tend to do the opposite than you at Disney. I get up a little later and stay out very late and do my resort exploring at night. Love my quiet time all by myself. I feel it's more magical.
After watching this VLOG, I was planning a week long trip with my family of 6 to Aulani but hearing about the quality of the meal you had, I am changing my plans and writing off disney trips forever. Thank you for your honesty and showing me there is another way.

We didn't stay at Aulani during our 25th anniversary trip (2014), but had the brunch there on our anniversary. I agree. The food there is very underwhelming and we paid about $40 a person. We feel the same about Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland. For our 30th anniversary we are going on our first Disney cruise! So excited!!
I do not blame you on the breakfast, I know I would not enough it, it was just to loud in that area, but did love the sights once more around David and you, so thank you once again for sharing all this venture with you.

Awesome Vlog! I was wondering if they have excursions that you can sign up to do? Because I'm wondering what else they have besides the pool and slides. And also the different restaurant choices but I would kind of like to do more while they're in Hawaii.
Aulani is the best. We are warn out after a week staying at Disneyland, we are warn out after a week at WDW, but a week at Aulani is one of the best for relaxing. Almost as good as a week on DCL.
Wait a minute .... David was born on Veteran's Day or the day before because if its the day before hes even cooler! November 10th is my birthday so he just went up like a 10 cool points for being a Scorpio!!! This vlog makes me want to go to Aulani, i prefer the all inclusive resorts though and not having to worry about meal plans or any of that. Maybe one day ill make it to Aulani!
Michael....is Aulani all-inclusive? If not, do you use a key to the world card like DCL uses? Or is it cash on hand/pay as you go type of spending? Thanks in advance 😊

You know I've never been impressed with any of the breakfast options at the Disney restaurants. for the record I've never been impressed with any buffets at the Disney restaurants. I think it has something to do with the fact that they offer so many normal foods and less unique foods. When I am on vacation I want to try stuff I haven't eaten before. I will say I do like the Mara in AKL for breakfast but again it is like most breakfasts but because it is quick service my expectations are not as high.
