Please remember this band is still super young. I think like 19. Go back and listen to Corey and slipknot when they first began. People said that there was something off about them as well but as they grew, their skill and talents grew and they developed into one of the best metal bands of all time. As far as his voice goes, I truly believe that he can not help how his voice is so similar to his fathers. genetics, what can you do right?. Don't get me wrong, you can definitely tell that their sound is influenced by slipknot. But you absolutely can not take away from their talent, vocally or instrumentally. He takes after his father and their is nothing wrong with that in my opinion. They are legit in my eyes. And that's setting them aside from slipknot.
It's not so much genetics as it is parental emulation because that's what you know the most. ....And now that they're talking about some of the other bands they were into, I'm surprised they didn't incorporate more of those influences into their music, then they wouldn't come off so much as Slipknot jr. But Simon wanted to push them into "writing what they feel" which ironically turned out to be their dads' band 🤷♂️

Corey 2.0 Giffin, INSANE it takes me back to the 90’s as a kid watching his dad in interviews etc and it’s like being in a time machine how crazy it is he is so much like Corey. Clowns boy I hear the Similarities, but man Giffin is literally like Corey’s twin haha crazy cool🤘. I’m diggn that new Vended song “Overall” It hits hard and kudos to Clowns boy on drums for this jam, dude is killn it and Giffin vocals are some of his best yet with a studio recording. Garza being the old man talking to the new generations haha. I’m right there with ya Garza don’t feel too bad haha, but just a fun cool interview and Giffin clown’n like he was had me rolln like whatever the hell that was supposed to be when Classic Rock was mentioned and he went into singing like a goofball. That’s the best seeing young bands having fun and enjoying being kids. Don’t mean to be that guy but just stay away from the dope out there dudes. We’ve seen it all too much what happens when you get hooked on crap and Clown and Corey’s boys know that especially. Keep it up Vended tracks like Overall rock 🤘🎸🤘
Just saw them opening for jinjer in Minneapolis. They were great but my one critique was the sound. I couldn’t really hear griffin very well, but when I could he sounded great. Felt like the mic was too low and the instruments were a little muddled and hard to hear the contrast. Again, their performance was great and the energy was through the roof. Love to see where they go from here.

Anyway, back in like 2006 you guys were playing with Animosity at The Old Orchard Inn in WI and Animosity brought a fuckin trampoline on stage for us all to dive off of and I ate shit so god damn hard. Ambulance came and everything. I remember waking up and seeing you and Mitch and the show was stopped. No idea if you remember that shit, but I just remember Mitch saying "Dude, I heard your fucking head bounce from the back of the room, you alright?" Then dude sat with me in the ambulance while they checked me out and hooked me up with a hoodie. I ended up having it stolen by an Ex-gf a few years back. But anyways, will never forget that night. Ya'll are awesome and caring fuckin dudes.
