Also mad respect to them. They have said they get zero help from Slipknot when it comes to music. They write everything and are their own band making their own legacy and i love it. The only benefit they have is being the sons of 2 band members in slipknot which was enough for a lot of us to come here and be blown away. None of us expected this from them so young.
@@theplaguepadart3743 Their only connection to Slipknot/Stone Sour is their fathers and that's it. Vended is a completely separate entity of it's own and I love it! To me I don't get slipknot right off the bat. Initially I hear Korn and Disturbed influences with hints of SOAD and Knot in there.
@crippledcrusader1321 I don't mean to disparage the band at all, they sound brutal. But let's be honest, the fact that two members are children of members of Slipknot opens many doors for them in the industry and has made it 100% easier for them to be able to play at large important festivals to which any unknown band does not have access no matter how well they play.

Griffin might not have even been born yet in August 99' right after the first album debuted and hardly anyone in Oklahoma knew anything about them, but a good friend of my brother and I that was our very first actual singer we ever had in 98 in our weird grunge x Tool x Deftones x Pantera x Faith no more kinda stuff and he was heavy into Ministry and Black Flag so our singer brought in those influences and I had only been playing on a double bass pedal for a month prior to our first show. I was 18 and my brother was 15 playing baritone and 7 string guitar back then. We did a Toolesque but fast cover of TSOL'S Code Blue, it was way crazy for 98 lmao. But our first singer found Slipknot online that following summer and the next month or so we got to see them at Mohawk Park at Z.104.5 the Edge's Edge Fest and probably 20 , mostly told about by us had any clue who Slipknot was and they blowed the 12, 000 attendant's away and blew the power 3 times they were so brutal, but when I think it was Mick came out and did the oohwah, dnka, dnka oohwah dnka dnka oohwah and started playing the intro I can't remember if that is Surfacing or Sic been a long time but they gained the entire crowd that evening in Tulsa Oklahoma as super fans immediately after they started ripping it up and my brother and me love unique and extremely original music and it was some of the very best we'd heard n saw ever even though our band had about 4 different vocalists and our original vocalist ended playing keyboards for our death core/ metal core band in 07 and 08 ironically but Slipknots first album heavily influenced us and Joey did me as a drummer especially. They were so brutal and catchy plus insane musician ship, plus they were playing in 102 degrees that day and I know damn well those jumpsuits were hotter than the surface of Hell. I kinda was worried about them because someone I knew at the concert had passed out from the heat right before Slipknots opening and they were sober just too much sun. I'll never feel the same about the following albums even though they are all extremely brutal and excellent but the first album holds a special place in my heart seeing all those people get their fuckin minds blown was priceless! Instant chills when I heard him, damn he literally passed his voice along to his son
Been listening to this dudes dad for at very least 15 years and can say I am proud of this legacy
I'm addicted to this song. It's just INSANE. I love it.
Corey must be proud as a massive fan who owns all Slipknot studio CDs up to end so far, these people have got talent and have blew my mind away, total Iowa vibes here
No doubt! And that's saying something! Iowa, may be baddest album of all time in my opinion. Next to Mudvayne's LD 50 album!!
@@jameymcentyre576 Iowa is such a good album along with tons of other albums
You're totally fucking right dude. I hear a lot of major influence there.
@@jameymcentyre576🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I am greatful, that this generation is getting great music.
I'm obsessed with this song! Been on repeat for a good couple of months 😍
korns boys and slipknots boys, best combo .................................fuck off :)
This sounds like it would be a song on Iowa.
I love you so much Vended 😂❤❤
First of all I'm old as hell and don't do a lot of Internet.. when I saw you guys at Louisville louder than life I was blown away!! I saw young, hungry musicians laying it down for their lives and it was so awesome! It's like heavy as hell! Then I found out the famous father's and I thought well done Corey and Clown you guys did good. Cheers guys, and can't wait to see you all again
Saw them live at Louder Than Life. These kids sound so much like old Slipknot, minus the electronic synth and sample stuff, it's unreal. And I have zero issue with this. It was a hell of a show!
Paleface and Vended are a blessing these days, they simply bring an unparalleled energy and anger to the scene
This is like a new school approach to old school slipknot and I’m all the way here for it. Love that the kid is filling in his fathers shoes
aku suka cara bernyanyi berbeda dengan ayahnya, saat ayahnya pensiun jangan kaget kalau gaya bernyanyinya akan sama, sesuatu warisan khusus
Can't absolutely wait to see and hear more of vened as they develope thru the years. This shit is Killer. Makes me feel young again when I found the good 90s heavy metal
First band ive began following in years. Who cares if he's taking tips from Dad?! Who wouldnt? Their fucking nailing it! 🙌
Uhhh yess! Especially if they were from Cory Taylor absolutely
@@keitholivier3264I mean if you like new slipknot and stone source, no shock you would dig this. Lmao
Corey’s son actually sounds exactly like he did when he was younger, this is too good
it probably sucks just being known as "corey's son", feel like griffin and vended as a whole deserve recognition outside of slipknot
@@monoblocchairenthusiast9538 for the most part I always call him Griffen if that helps I just use the whole backbone of his father for the time being until they are big enough to carry their own name because they damn well deserve it 💪🏼
@@monoblocchairenthusiast9538 Then they probably shouldn't sound so similar or wear masks... lol But I like them. Reminds me of the good ole days of early Slipknot.
@@austinramsey92 the vocals are definitely reminiscent of corey taylor's earlier work with slipknot, but they certainly have their own distinct style. only griffin taylor wears a mask and even then its nothing like anything seen on slipknot + not every metal band with masks is slipknot
its important to keep a distinction to the two bands. theyre similar but vended still has their own identity outside of slipknot
Griff is incredible live. Excellent performer. I fell in love with him at the Mercury Ballroom! ❤️
This band is going places. Mark my word: 20 years from now they gone be in ya top 15
For sure! Definitely up there already with Slipknot for me.
They're basically the next slipknot, I'm getting like Iowa vibes with this song
I give it 1 year 😀
This band will fall apart after 15 months wtf are you talking about 15 years lel
@@DiskoKDiskoL most folks said the same thing about Slipknot…….just sayin
I've been slipknot fan since 2002 and discovered vended today. Im just full of goosepumbs while listening this!! Omg, i love it! ❤
Awesome Band and killer song!
Waiting for a full album!
These guys are going somewhere, less than half an hour of material and I love them, can't wait for what's next
I love this band! I saw them live in Wichita last year, and they were better then the bands they opened for. They're fan friendly and are already one of my favorite bands. I had no idea until weeks later that Clown and Cory had kids in this band.
Очень классные парни, красивые виды и шикарная песня! Она просто как глоток свежего воздуха! Огромное спасибо за вашу красивую и мощную музыку!
Straight goosebumps the entire video!! The future is bright for these guys 👍
Only because of their dads
FUCK YES Literally such a perfect song, one of my all time favs! Seeing it live was an incredible experience! Can’t wait to see what else they have in store! Fucking love Vended 🖤
Killer video!!!! Dude sounds uncannily like his dad yet such a fresh take as well. Killer job.
Just feels like im listening to slipknot so im like meh
I've been listening to Slipknot for 15 years and Corey's son doesn't have a voice like that...
@@MaurYc. I've been listening to them for over 24 years, and yeah to me and the other 7 long time slipknot fans in my household who also agree, yeah he sounds damn close to old self titled era Corey.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... Good sound! 👏
Been playing this nonstop since it’s release. Can’t wait to see what these guys do in the next few years!
These are the boys who's gonna take over slipknot when they decide to call it quits and I feel these young men will keep the knot alive for many years
The Knot is dead already. Just Corey and Clown

Excelente Tema...De Mis Favoritas Del Grupo, Hasta Ahora 😎🤘❤️
truly amazing what a gig that was i was at the front was crazy keep on rocking
Even if there wasn’t any connection to Slipknot, these guys would have a massive following because of their sound. It’s refreshing to hear music that sounds like early 2000’s metal
Seriously, man…!!!! *HELL YEAH!!!!* 🤘💯
Hell yeah.
YES FINALLY
BEST WAY TO END MY NIGHT
CHEERS BOYS 🍻
Its so BEAUTIFUL seeing You guys happy and healthy
He sounds just like his father! Corey must be so proud!
My favourite Vended tune. Savage, pummelling, unrelenting. I hope they release a full-length LP soon with this track and the other recent singles. Loving it.
Ooooo wasn't expecting this, this is sick!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Griffin is already a awesome singer/frontman probably going to show his dad up one day and thats no easy task.
God damn those vocals are brutal in the best way possible it’s so refreshing
I’m genuinely blown away. This is a great band from what I’ve heard.
It’s crazy how much he sounds like Corey but then at the same time it just makes all the sense in the world.
You guys have a fan from Brazil. 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Great song, and great video.
“El futuro del metal” is all I need to understand and that’s the god damn truth.
Love the hell out of this 🤘🏻
this is cheap cope of slipknot
I saw them live yesterday, amazing show! Huge potential for these guys
Keep it up boys! Sounds amazing.
These guys are getting better and better.. if they manage to stick together and not implode. I hope they do because I would love to see these guys keep growing and getting better..
omfg i can't describe how much I love this band, you rule guys !
To whomever posted this...Thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Being a slipknot fan of 18 years I’m amazing at how good this band is and how they sound. I know being Corey Taylor’s son means he’s gonna sound like him but he sounds what I expect Corey to have sounded just prior to Iowa, feeling it
I've been listening to Slipknot for 15 years and Corey's son doesn't have a voice like that...
Sound just like slipknot ... great we have choaseum as korn an vended as slipknot ...future seems bright
I'll be honest: I'm way more excited for Vended than for Slipknot right now!
Me too.
Same. Knots last album is trash
Big fan! Can't wait to catch them in Concert. Saw interviews and these guys are not rolling around in luxurious buses and tour vans and stuff they're really touring and little vans and struggling. That's good he's not feeding off his dad's success. That's cool. Like most bands have to struggle to get famous he's doing the same thing and they're going to be huge. Love you Vended! Props to the rest of the band as well they're rad!
Dude how this hits different to me than anything else this year is AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I still am jaw dropped by just how on point Corey's son is just like him.
As they say the apple sure doesn't fall far from the tree lmao. It's so awesome that slipknots kids are doing thier own thing 🙏🔥
Griffin definitely inherited his dads voice and talent ! Love this song and band !
This takes me back 25 years this month when I first saw Slipknot live at Edge fest 1999 in Tulsa Oklahoma when I was 19. How time flies 🤘❤️💪
Wowzer😁🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘❤️❤️❤️
This is song is so sick!!! I love this sound. It's got the same intensity and vibe of early slipknot which is badass but with their own modern twist. Badass song, good work guys. This band will do big things
Modern twist? I think they sound great and are very talented, but I'm hearing an early 2000s vibe.
I saw these guys last night in Bloomington they were phenomenal and absolutely delivered.
Honestly I didn't really care for the What Is It/Kill It EP. But once they dropped this single I was immediately hooked what a banger of a song this is. If they keep putting out songs like this they will definitely be on my radar for new bands to check out \m/
