      i got the Mini last Aug after 2 months i flew my Mini 3 pro and had a hard time bringing it down so i sent it to dji, and they sent me another one that the drone did not want to turn on so i sent it back to DJI they sent me another one after 3 weeks my screen froze so i had to send it back to Dji yes after a short flight I lost connection 4 times not only that the video on the camera has a jello effect when you shoot when i sent my drone in DJI keep on sending me to refurbish drones it's not even a year so i called Dji and i used my 2 year warranty they charged me 65 dollars four a new drone, don't buy it the mini 2 is ten times better than the mini 3 pro its garbage there is no reason why i should have to pay for a second drone they should give me a new one when i first brought it , lesson learned when they come out with a new drone wait a year and dont always belive the Hype that they put out shame on you Dji

    Russ, I’m a regular follower of your channel and I have the following question. I need some clarity and or an explanation on the use of “Course Lock” in the hyperlapse mode. (I get confused easily.)
    Per the Manual: Follow the steps below to use Course Lock.
    1. Set the interval time, video duration, and max speed. The screen displays the number of photos that will be taken and the shooting duration.
    2. Set a flight direction.
    3. If applicable, drag-select a subject. Use the gimbal dial and yaw stick to adjust the frame.
    4. Tap the shutter/record button to begin. Move the pitch stick and roll stick to control the horizontal
    flight speed and briefly alter the aircraft orientation. Move the throttle stick to control the vertical flight speed.
    My question is: how far will the course lock flight go? Is the length of the flight determined by the shooting duration?
    Thanks...

    Exploration is key. Especially with cameras and drones. Fiddle with settings. Fiddle with modes. Fiddle with concepts. Before you know it, you have the technical know-how to actually bring your artistic visions to life. So tinker, explore, and fiddle away.

    Hi Russ,
    I’ve had the same problem with overheating, but with my mini 2 when you leave it sitting too long. A simple fix I’ve been using with success is using a 100mm PC fan sitting the drone on top of it and have the fan blowing air into the drone. Just make sure you have guards over the blades of the fan…

  • @AD-lr2ww
    @AD-lr2ww ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Also, I am starting to use the Auto-ISO function more. Since we don't have control of the aperture in this camera, we are limited to changing shutter speed or ISO/sensitivity. In normal cameras, there is an aperture/f stop setting we can modify to have a "trifecta" of options to get whatever look you want. But with the M3P, changing aperture is crippled. So we are already at a disadvantage with making video or photos. Fortunately, antinoise software in post is very good these days, and sensor noise levels are actually quite low and you can generally raise the ISO/sensitivity well beyond what you normally would, without noticeable noise. Everyone acts like they are afraid to raise the ISO past 100, but the camera is totally functional way up into 800 ISO without much noise. You could safely go beyond that. Cameras are just that good now. But, the REASON to choose to add noise in darker areas, is to keep the same shutter speed going. In a hyperlapse, you want the same shutter speed the entire length of the video. It isn't something you want to vary with brightness levels, which is what would happen in auto-shutter speed mode. So I am quite happy with the new priority modes. I wish aperture weren't crippled. That would be an extra several hundred, right? To have them not purposefully cripple the aperture capability?

    It would be cool to save the flight mission and repeat this recording every week or so... then combine the shots and crossfade between the weeks to get a real extreme time lapse... from start of the project to finish!

    The little aircraft doesn't have a cooling fan. I got a little 5 inch USB-A powered fan that goes into my Bluetti (an Ecoflow competitor) and gives me the ability to run the aircraft on the ground as long as I want. Even on low it stays cool but medium is perfect. It just goes into my ground service equipment box.

    Always a on point vlog. I look forward to each.
    I have noticed limit restrictions on both my Mini 2,3 as well as my Air 2s. Both here in Colorado, as well as on a shoot recently out on the coast (West). It comes on like a jelly glitch into loss of signal. Wouldn't be so bad yet I live close to restricted zones so loss of signal is sick. I could see DJI implementing something into their app discouraging RANGE TESTS.!! I apologize, yet am tired of noobs having to do range test vlogs. I personally want to see some creative expression using hyper lapse as well as other camera capabilities.It's cute to see DJI finally adding this feature to their M3. I notice you test mostly DJI, yet have you tested that Maven app available on the Apple ios? Using the Maven app allows total manipulation of way-points, flight missions, as well as a a AI Pilot. Hyper-lapse has been available for all the DJI models using Maven way before DJI even put it on the drawing board. I love making tiny videos. Heading up to Estes Park, CO to do some filming later and will be using these same features. Winds are sick lately (58 mph atm) so who knows. Happy Camping!

    • @Bdzynes
      @Bdzynes ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are heading down this way, just leave the tents home and maybe stay at the local b and b. With reservations needed just about every state park ( Including Estes park) I'm glad I own many drones...DJI that is. Temps are at 90 plus/No humidity and winds have been 60+. If that wasn't enough the Air Force/Army are testing new drone killer weapons on the post below. You can't even hear them when they are on, have dropped a few of my drones traveling too close to the fence.
