Changli doesn't need a dedicated support, she needs a liberation-focused fusion dps (basically fusion Xiangli Yao) because Changli IS the support. Her quickswap duo dps teams are also meta. The only reason Changli can feel weak to some players is because you're forcing her into a hypercarry team, which works, but that isn't her best role. Changli can be a main dps and a moonlit clouds buffer, but she excels in duo dps teams where she can both deal a lot of damage and still have a second dps character to give her outro buff to.

Judging by the current pattern of yinlin being the best support for electro dps, zhezhi the best for glacio dps considering all current glacio resonators use their skill dmg, I’m guess changli will be the main support for fusion dps who’ll probably scale with liberation dmg
I would say Changli is already an S tier meta wise personally, feel like she is largely underrated but it would be great for her to get a dedicated quick swap support to make her S+!!

As for the Somnoire Anchor quest, people theorize that the characters only interact with the Rover cause only the Rover could enter their dreams while the other's can't. But still, they need to utilize their characters more like in Act 1 and that Act with Aalto and Encore.
thank you so so much!!! glad we're on the same page :D yeah, it really fleshes out the characters. whenever kuro adds character relationships (e.g, jinhsi & changli) whaddya know, those characters become some of the most interesting units in all of WuWa plot-wise! i hope characters in rinascita all know eachother, & that there's some more connected relationships! ^^ really excited to see what rinascita offers in this regard (albeit, hoping that this wasn't the last we'll be seeing of jinzhou)
they don´t sell better, but males are often barely part of the story and not meta defining, that´s why they don´t sell. Neuvilette and Zhongli rerun made more money then chasca. Because those characters are well made. Sunday did better then Ninja girl (forgot her name) and lads while being an otome shows many females and gays play gatchas. There is no evidence they sell less, only thing that is for sure is that weak and non important characters don´t sell. Like xiangli yao was free and had no story relevance, wasn´t in any main event like the females and neither does he get the promotion yinlin got on her rerun. We can ignore all these points when those are the real reasons, it just happens that male characters never get the same love from devs then the females

Been watching your content for a while and have to say you’ve become my favourite gacha game cc on TH-cam ❤ just started Wuwa on ps5 so looking forward to seeing more Wuwa videos! Even though I’m new I can agree that the game could do with some more cool men as well as all the cool ladies, almost all the characters I’ve met so far are well designed and interesting.
this is my wish list -Different rover cosmetic for different region -More playable male character (via Scar or geshu) as mention in the video -An increase energy cap to 360 -more way to get echoes ascension material -Re-playable spectacle dungeon game mode like Final fantasy XIV -Variety of build path similar to how HSR does it. Example of what i mean being Danjin Gameplay trading HP for DMG an introduction to stagger damage build could make the game a lot more interesting. (Fruit for thought taking it with a grain of salt) -Higher risk take in story telling and not to be afraid of killing off a few characters to make story become unpredictable. (Remember this is a post apocalyptic world.) -reduce the storytelling of making Rover the center of the universe and actually introduce some other important element that impact the world building. (Example: Aeon in HSR) -More Rover joke option in dialogue as rover seem pretty bland self insert most of the time. Joke option or other personality option could immerse player to the character even if it doesnt impact the outcome even though it would be nice an impactful dialogue option -Re-playable story for those who simply want to replay it and or see the change/update they made to the beginning stuff along the way without having to create as second account. -Calcharo, Danji, and Yuan wu character story -them taking feedback and not restrict flying to one region
EDIT: the new craftable weapons might be your wish that came true, but is hard to find guides on them because they're tied to some long-ish quests. 1) either waveplate cost reduction OR improved droprate fot echo XP tube OR make unused unlevelled echos usable as fodder. 2) More male characters. 3) More (males) character storyline. 4) Stories that are not " go on a date with..." type of quests .5) Some progress in the story also would be nice instead of being hijacted every time from the purpose of a quest. 6) Get rid of puzzles and unecessary gimmiks, the main combat mechanics are PLENTY to pay attention to. This has been my feedback for quite some time.
I don't agree with all the points but yeah, you brought up some interesting ideas. So, good job! Also, just remembered that I've been playing since launch and I still don't have Variation. T_T I bought Shorekeeper's sig weapon since she's one of my favorites, but im hindsight, maybe it was for the best considering Verina and Baizhi are stuck with Voyager... Changli's my favorite character in the game alongside Yinlin and Shorekeeper so I like running those 3 together whenever I can and I personally enjoy playing with them. I think Changli's great already but I see where you're coming from, she needs a bit more help when compared to Jinhsi and Camellya. I like the idea of getting another character that amplifies Changli's playstyle, however, I hope it's a female character I like. I'm a waifu collector so there's no way I'm pulling for a guy just because they're the best teammate for Changli.
Calcharo, a character who did _not_ even show up in the stories. Wish we get his story quest. Wish for faster travel methods, like maybe a motorbike or something. Shorekeeper is fast, that's a start.
Good video For me: I second the male characters thing myself for sure (including story importance), more good music which includes boss music that doesn’t reset right when it’s getting good, and more dark themes and maybe areas, possibly desolate ones. I forget the game is post apocalyptic a lot of the time, even healing worlds should still show a bit of harsher decay in some areas. Looking forward to what they bring to the table in this coming year

Changli is top tier. Just not as a hypercarry. You basically need to play her in double dps team. My chixia team with changli sub dps and shorekeeper clears middle tower, it’s just a hard team to play.
I am running the same team, with Verina ( i don't have Shorekeeper) and i didn't encounter major issues in the rotations, how many Sequences do you have on your characters? Could be a ER issue on one of them, although Shorekeeper should be enough to battery the whole team. Changli plays also well with Encore or Zhezhi built as sub DPS ( not just support) with the new echo set that amplifies coordinated attacks. Mortefy also plays well with Changli, same coordinated damage ech set. Chixia s6 ( i hope you have it) buffs the whole team as well, so is, for now, BiS for Changli, at least the most accessible, being Encore a 5*.
Honestly, all Gacha games just need to release more male characters! The whole thing about females selling better... Just look at which mobile gacha game is doing the biggest sales at the moment, Love and Deepspace! Gacha games are underestimating their female player base!!! We are no longer living in the ages where gaming was mainly done by men!!
I think the issue with Changli getting a dedicated support is that the best support character in the game for Changli right now would be another Changli. Making another character that supports Changli would risk directly power-creeping Changli, since Changli's ideal partner would be a quick-swap character whose outro gives fusion and resonance skill buff, which is very similar to her current kit (she buffs resonance liberation instead of skill.) All our current fusion DPS characters (Encore, Chixia, and Changli herself) would prefer this new support over Changli. I don't follow meta too closely, but isn't Chixia's current BiS support Changli? Ironically, Chixia already has her support, and any future support that is designed for Changli would also just replace Changli on Chixia teams.
Look, I adore Changli, I got her and her weapon and her first Waveband, I went all out for her, and- I will say, you’re wrong that she needs a good support. Changli IS the support, she is the backup, she is the second dancer. What she needs is a second DPS that can shine with her, a fusion liberation one. Do I play DPS Changli often? Yes! But she is MEANT to be a support, not a main dps. She’s… more meant to be in a duo with another dps, really.
I’d also say you’re wrong about her being one of the worst units meta wise- and yes, my Changli is kinda busted, however- she…. I swear she consistently places pretty high in the meta?? Like, I’m not fully clearing the tower every single cycle yet (skill issue + mobile + not wanting to figure out how to build certain characters) but whenever I go at it, she’s like, soloing her side basically. Because I just pop her in with a sustain and a very poorly built Danjin, and it… it actually works, so…? Again, I KNOW my Changli is busted, limited stuff like her first waveband and her weapon aside, she’s also got some pretty good echos I believe- but, still?
I think it would be cool of they add gliders like they have in geshin like ones that you get from new regions or events. Not a big deal really but the gray glider is kinda boring. And now with flying it be really cool to have different gliders
scar is coming its guarantee and expect a better model. Its the same way PGR handles bosses. They have rework the character to be gacha worthy. Hes basically Roland who took quite a while to come out and the glow up on old boss characters are insane in pgr so ill patiently wait for the dude

Who needs dedicated changli support when you can just S6 her and pair her with taoqi? Been saving since SK and skipping all 2.0 banners, should have enough pulls ready for her rerun to guaratee last 2 copies + shop dupe. But in serious, I am coping that Zani is her dedicated support character, their jackets are kinda the same fabric. Dual mommy comp is gonna be lit, maybe leaving space for yinlin to squish in as well. Changli also needs a better 4cost, rider aint it. The thing I hope the most is that they just go nuts on basic skins, they have so many collab artworks with absolute drip for every character, just put them in the game, no need for new animations, just basic costume change and price them cheap (5-10 bucks depending on detail), that shit would be so great and literally print them money, hire more costume designers/3d artists if necessary, they gonna pay for themselves in just one skin release.
i have been thinking about picking up changli cons tbh, maybe not S6 since i'd prefer not to break the bank, but i've definitely been thinking about it hard agree, have you seen green jinhsi? would love that in-game!!! they keep making these excellent designs, but they never do anything else w/ them man!!!
Fantastic video - i totally agree with everything you've said (not quite as much the Changli thing as i didn't pull for her anyway - but it's fair enough and i get it). More males definitely needed... starting to feel a little weird with the imbalance. Other major thumbs up was for the character interactions. i could never quite put my finger on why i didn't care overly for the characters despite their fantastic design... and now i realise it's def the lack of their social aspect amongst each other. It's the only thing i miss about Genshin - and this is something it did really well - the characters interacting - bickering, being friends etc.
yeah, like in genshin we have so many different relationships, i would love wuwa to do the same! any time that they add this, its amazing. e.g. changli & jinhsi hoping rinascita & previous jimzhou chars get expanded upon this way!

@ I didn’t say anything about male characters! And, if you actually play, you’d even excess the total capacity of echoes space in your backpack which is 2000/2000. A minute respawn time for bosses is more than enough, as for average echoes, there is Tacet-Field for it ( and there’s even double drop event sometimes), so echoes is never a problem to begin with. Matter of fact, you would hate it once you get 2000/2000. 🤣

Every boss respawn in a minute. 3:00 are you even serious? 😅 Even average TDs doesn’t respawn quick in wuwa, and each and every bosses respawn in 60 seconds. Do you play wuwa? 3:22 you’re definitely a tourist in wuwa! 😅 you don’t even know that bosses respawn time is only 60 seconds.
@ where do you get the “standard”thingy? Which (gacha)game like this where bosses respawn in 10 seconds? Genshin Impact? GSI doesn’t even do bosses respawn like wuwa. Even the newest boss from black shore can easily get enough for your character with just 10 - 20 minutes farming, cause it isn’t like you needed one for each and every character!.

So, in WUWA, you wake up with no memories of who, or perhaps what, even, you are, and you’re set in a post apocalyptic world, that’s fighting for it’s life against monsters. From there, you’re set off on a path of trying to slowly unravel as much about yourself as possible, and to try and help keep some of this world from falling to pieces. It’s a little janky at the start- but I personally really love all of its story, so far.
More male characters please. This is the only game where I actually prefer the male characters over the female ones. I love Brant's design too (I actually thought he was mid too until we saw his in game model. Now Im obsessed with our pirate boy lmao). My unpopular ppinion is that Shorekeeper's design is a miss 🫣

Look, I adore Changli, I got her and her weapon and her first Waveband, I went all out for her, and- I will say, you’re wrong that she needs a good support.
Changli IS the support, she is the backup, she is the second dancer. What she needs is a second DPS that can shine with her, a fusion liberation one. Do I play DPS Changli often? Yes! But she is MEANT to be a support, not a main dps. She’s… more meant to be in a duo with another dps, really.
I’d also say you’re wrong about her being one of the worst units meta wise- and yes, my Changli is kinda busted, however- she…. I swear she consistently places pretty high in the meta?? Like, I’m not fully clearing the tower every single cycle yet (skill issue + mobile + not wanting to figure out how to build certain characters) but whenever I go at it, she’s like, soloing her side basically. Because I just pop her in with a sustain and a very poorly built Danjin, and it… it actually works, so…?
Again, I KNOW my Changli is busted, limited stuff like her first waveband and her weapon aside, she’s also got some pretty good echos I believe- but, still?

I think it would be cool of they add gliders like they have in geshin like ones that you get from new regions or events. Not a big deal really but the gray glider is kinda boring. And now with flying it be really cool to have different gliders

scar is coming its guarantee and expect a better model. Its the same way PGR handles bosses. They have rework the character to be gacha worthy. Hes basically Roland who took quite a while to come out and the glow up on old boss characters are insane in pgr so ill patiently wait for the dude

Who needs dedicated changli support when you can just S6 her and pair her with taoqi? Been saving since SK and skipping all 2.0 banners, should have enough pulls ready for her rerun to guaratee last 2 copies + shop dupe. But in serious, I am coping that Zani is her dedicated support character, their jackets are kinda the same fabric. Dual mommy comp is gonna be lit, maybe leaving space for yinlin to squish in as well. Changli also needs a better 4cost, rider aint it.
The thing I hope the most is that they just go nuts on basic skins, they have so many collab artworks with absolute drip for every character, just put them in the game, no need for new animations, just basic costume change and price them cheap (5-10 bucks depending on detail), that shit would be so great and literally print them money, hire more costume designers/3d artists if necessary, they gonna pay for themselves in just one skin release.
i have been thinking about picking up changli cons tbh, maybe not S6 since i'd prefer not to break the bank, but i've definitely been thinking about it

Fantastic video - i totally agree with everything you've said (not quite as much the Changli thing as i didn't pull for her anyway - but it's fair enough and i get it). More males definitely needed... starting to feel a little weird with the imbalance. Other major thumbs up was for the character interactions. i could never quite put my finger on why i didn't care overly for the characters despite their fantastic design... and now i realise it's def the lack of their social aspect amongst each other. It's the only thing i miss about Genshin - and this is something it did really well - the characters interacting - bickering, being friends etc.
yeah, like in genshin we have so many different relationships, i would love wuwa to do the same! any time that they add this, its amazing. e.g. changli & jinhsi

i don't really see how more efficient 4-cost echo farming would be bad, nor more male characters
@ I didn’t say anything about male characters! And, if you actually play, you’d even excess the total capacity of echoes space in your backpack which is 2000/2000. A minute respawn time for bosses is more than enough, as for average echoes, there is Tacet-Field for it ( and there’s even double drop event sometimes), so echoes is never a problem to begin with. Matter of fact, you would hate it once you get 2000/2000. 🤣

Even average TDs doesn’t respawn quick in wuwa, and each and every bosses respawn in 60 seconds. Do you play wuwa?

Even the newest boss from black shore can easily get enough for your character with just 10 - 20 minutes farming, cause it isn’t like you needed one for each and every character!.

So, in WUWA, you wake up with no memories of who, or perhaps what, even, you are, and you’re set in a post apocalyptic world, that’s fighting for it’s life against monsters. From there, you’re set off on a path of trying to slowly unravel as much about yourself as possible, and to try and help keep some of this world from falling to pieces.
It’s a little janky at the start- but I personally really love all of its story, so far.
Then dont play it… no one is forcing you… may you have fun jn genshin…
