Cool video man! Years ago, i had an 06 6.0 F350. After shutting it off and going into the store, it totally had a no start situation. $3300 later from the dealer and she ran great. Wish idv’ve known then what i know now!
I have the same problem the only difference is the truck was running real rough and spitting out black and white smoke the last time I had someone to check the oil told me that it was metal particles in it
Poor truck. Got to find me a 06-07 dually that hasn't been raked over the coals. Saw one a few months ago and it only had a sign on it for a day then it was gone. Had to be under 100K on it from the look of it. Another not 1000ft from me had a sign on it for a week. I knew the truck was running rough I had seen it driving down the road. I decided to stop and ask about it and he had already taken the sign off and put it behind his fence. Said he was keeping it. Then a few days it was parked there behind the fence but had been wrapped around a tree. I have a crew cab single axle 07 with 83K on it. Want 2 or 3 of them.
Got a 03 ford250 with a 6.0 turn key nothing and I don't hear the fuel pump was told it was fuel pump and put a new one on and still no crank when I turn the key or hear the fuel pump can u please help
U need to push the ipr valve open and closed with a screwdriver push hard and spray with anything. U can always unclog it. Buy a new screen kit when u do it. U can blow in it and when it stops allowing u to blow threw it its clean. I've got at least 500 hours with the 6.0 and the best day of my life was the day I swore id never again. I mean I bought a few retired ambulance over the years. Man a 2010 mint condition 85k miles 3500$ ... still a ripoff. I removed the cab on 2 of them swapped engines in my driveway in the winter and so many no starts. Get a Bluetooth obd2 dongle and get the torque pro app to read all parameters needed. Msg me with any question I promise I can save u allot of heart break.
Little bro ist.hard to believe in your navigation when your parts identification is completely wrong that shows yourself misleading others to pick up on your confusion
You can’t troubleshoot these trucks with out the proper tools, and knowledge. The truck is not a piece of crap, or what ever you called it. You are just drawing straws. How about looking at the data on IDS instead of spinning your wheels. Do you have base oil pressure? Do you have at least 500 lbs of high pressure oil? Do you have FICM voltage, do you have sync? You didn’t check any of these things, so you’re just guessing. Obviously if your IPR valve screen is plugged up, it’s not the trucks fault, it’s the person who is maintaining, or should I say not maintaining the truck. Of course it’s not going to be reliable with trash in the oil. That screen is going to plug up again, and the truck will be on the side of the road. You just temporarily cleared a symptom, but you didn’t fix the problem.
I’m glad you read the handbook to diagnosing a 6.0 powerstroke, but some people don’t have the luxury of checking those parameters when they’re broke down on the side of the road, I never mentioned it was a permanent fix. I maintain my vehicles religiously oil and fuel filters every 7500 miles with oem filters only. I purchased this truck with high mileage from the previous owner who more than likely didn’t take very good care of it. I was simply showing everyone how they could “get out of a pinch”
@@Dieselstuffwithdan understood. How easy is it to pull and clean an IPR valve screen on the side of the road? I don’t think I would like to tackle that one. That screen shouldn’t have plugged up, unless someone had the truck apart, and got debris in the system, did’t change the oil, and possibly, with that aftermarket filter cap, the oil filter is being bypassed. I run Schaefer’s Supreme 9000, and a 2 micron oil bypass filtration system, and change my oil every 3000 miles now. When the truck was newer, I tried extended oil changes, after I added the bypass filtration, and switched to Amsoil, and that didn’t work. The oil shears as it is being used as hydraulic oil, at thousands of pounds of pressure, to fire the injectors. It will shear down to a thinner viscosity very soon, and cause problems. I am religious about fluids and lost the ford gold coolant years ago, and switch to ELC which is approved by navstar. I also added coolant bypass filtration, and upgraded the transmission to a deeper pan, larger ported shift solenoids, and a full flow external filtration system from Dieselsite. I am still on my original turbo, injectors, oil and EGR coolers. I’ve been thru one FICM, and on MAF sensor. Other than that, no problems in going on 19 years. Take care of these trucks, and they will run well for a long long time.

Good tips on a quick fix repair!
Also a chance that aftermarket oil filter is causing a no start. Get a motor craft cap & filter
I fixed it

Get a scan gauge & check your ficm voltage & make sure it’s got sync
Your fuel pickup in your tank is probably broke if it’s happening 1/4 tank or below. I bet it’s a wiring issue. That harness looks like trash

Tuned no egr straight pipe
That's the problem behind the turbo so why are you calling it icp
The 03-04s had icps behind the turbo instead of on the valve cover
Bet ur screen umder the oil cooler is ripped
