- In this data visualization I look at the most-viewed channels on TH-cam since its inception. You'll notice that the list and history is a bit different from the most-subbed channels. Also, some channels have been terminated since those early days while others have no accurate data available anywhere, so there may be a few missing from this list. These stats come from the TH-cam Fandom and the Internet Archive.

You know what would be neat? Do lists of the most popular English language channels, and then one for Spanish language, Russian, Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic, French, German, Japanese, etc. Also lists of the most popular channels when not counting corporate channels, most popular 18+ channels, comedy channels, educational channels, etc. Then you could get more niche and do stuff like most popular ASMR channels, etc.
I like the way you can see universal music make a deal with Google to make Vevo, then see them scrap that idea, and then see universal start to shift their Vevo brand onto individual artists.

It’s actually quite understandable why they have so much views. What I’ve noticed with babies watching nursery rhymes on their parent’s phone is that they can’t watch the same video for 5 secs and keep on changing the vid. Also, since they are babies, they touch the screen everywhere and they might accidentally press subscribe.

The channels really do move fast lol. Now Cocomelon is so popular. Look at how many views now, being more than the world population. Masha and the Bear, now my favorite TV show, in September passed 100 billion total views on TH-cam, and recently Minecraft has been watched one trillion times.
