oh this reminds me back when there were plenty of speculations around the routes evolutions before we knew it wasnt to much of a split. I actually dont think the pirate themes for dracmon is that weird it gives kind of a cool themic tie in to Miu and mermaimon in a weird way, more sibling connections for the win. I always appriciate your survive vids Kharn, thank you for the effort!
@@Karn_EX nah nothing to fret about, having karmic choices affect more of the characters evolution paths would have done a lot for the game and would be so incredibly cool but i can also understand that would have been hell to think up so many digimon and also perhaps balance into the battles and scenarios.
Floramon's Adult form being Veggiemon, a virus type makes sense to me because in that scene, Saki is worried that she only wants to save Ryo because that's what she's supposed to want (harmony reason) and a virus (wrath) digimon hammers home that this is something she wants as herself.
I’m hoping that the fair success of this game means that future installments will have more paths for the other characters. Something I think the developers should really try to implement is a personality quiz like introduction that determines which partner you get from a list of maybe 5 potential partners. I think this would elevate digimon because in the anime the digimon the characters get aren’t random per se. If you pay attention they always help the kids grow. Whether the partner is an opposite to show that kid the value of another point of view (like Joe and Gomamon) or a complete match meant to show the kid how others view them (like tai and Agumon), the partners are meant to illustrate aspects of the kids that need improvement or dealing with in some way to help them grow. Having a game mechanic that chooses a partner based on a personality quiz (which of course can be gamed, but I think would be fun regardless) would go a long way towards personalizing each player’s journey. If each partner has their own dialogue that would be even more awsome, though I’m sure there would be a lot of overlap to save time and costs.
Since Survive was my entry game into the digimon series, I really enjoyed this video! I hope to see you do a little more for survive in the future, as it was a fantastic experience!
Digimon Survive and Karn are both awesome but when you combined together is just perfection. Few What if ideas: What if each of the 02 cast were Digimon emperor, how would their version of Kimeramon look like? What if The original Power Rangers has Digimon Partners? The biggest what if idea: Digimon 02 rewrite What if idea: Digimon 02 Rewrite Rule 1: Davis, Ken, Kari, T.K., and their partners stay. Rule 2: You can replace Cody and Yolei with partners with new ones with OC like Ken's twin sister or something like that. Rule 3: You can change the Digimon Emperor into T.K. or Matt or someone else. Yolei can be replaced with Ken's twin sister named Chie who is best friends with Kari. Maybe keep Hawkmon but make Hawkmon female or replace Hawkmon with Floramon. For Cody's replacement, you can have name of Kaito Tanaka (he is older than other kids) and his Betamon/Armadillomon.
I still adore Digimon Survive. I actually played through all the routes and am working on a second True Route playthrough. Probably gonna go back to the game to do the Paradox battles once I get near the end since I’m trying to 100% the game.
I honestly think Floramon to Parasaurmon would be kinda cool. They have similar heads. Also, Dracmon is an X-Antibody carrier. I found that out because of Survive.
Yes, there are natural X-Antibody Digimon in Survive, namely Dracmon and Sangloupmon, though I don't blame you if you forgot, natural carries are hard for me to remember too, I can only remember DORUmon, Funbeemon, Ryudamon, and Dracmon (and their standard evolution lines), but beyond that no clue
I love you're doing survive videos about the partners. The game is an absolute gem story wise. So im glad you're still giving it love this long after release.
Hey Karen love your videos. I had an idea for a what if video “what if the 02 cast were given the 10 spirits from Frontier?” As kind of a fun 02 Frontier crossover. In my head the only ones I’m dead set on are Davis getting the flame spirits, Kari getting the wind spirits, Ken getting the light spirits, and TK getting the dark spirits. Hit me up if your interested.
Not a chance Ken gets light and Kari doesn't lmao, would definitely be Darkness on Ken. Light I feel would be a toss-up between Kari and TK for a few reasons, and wind would be Yolei. I do agree on Davis for fire, though. I'd also imagine Cody would get Earth.
@@meltingkeith7046 TK gets Darkness for story reasons and mostly because it’s more interesting. Yolei is a massive brat so she would be a better fit for the water spirits. Ken would get light as a means of showing he has truly overcome his former darkness.
All for Takeru getting darkness considering his 02 anger issues and all that. Also reminds me of that one crossover fanfiction where the different seasons of the digimon groups met up and Takeru bonded with Koichi, the spirit of darkness warrior
I think your choices for these lines are good, also it's cool that you could use Dagomon and that you used Drimogemon and Pandamon in the same Digivolution line, because Drimogemon can become Pandamon in Wolf Howl Dim Card.
You definitely put in hero work for this one. Habu couldn't even give them same attribute thru lines, tho makes sense for some lol. If they ever make a sequel game I'd love to see them do this for every character, maybe even let us be in control of different characters and have that be a way to tell different stories
Before I start watching, I will say that I have enjoyed finding this channel because Digimon was something that fell out of mind for me(since as far as I know, no real for, of media or hype has been around it here in Australia for the franchise as a whole)and after playing cyberslueth which ignited a couple of sparks of interest again. Watching some of your vids has turned back on the interest for this franchise as a whole and wasn't even aware of things like Tri/Kizuna, Ghost Game, even the V pets and card game(which I'm still, trying to learn). I definitely have to chalk up my complete rebound into the franchise up to you(by about at least 50%)and continue to look forward to seeing more videos I've been watching lately. I would love to see more done with Survive as I enjoyed it so much when playing overall and gave me appreciation of some Digimon I never knew about before/forgotten about

You did a crazy job, Karn👍 And while you managed really well with what there is, Digimon really needs to expand on its plant and bug types catalogue🙏 I think my favorites are all the Syakomon lines you put together. I think you did a pretty good work on everyone, but I like how easy the Syakomon came together xD The Floramon, Falcomon, Dracmon and Gabumon lines were good too👏👏👏 Overall a solid video, really✔
You definitely could have used Cannonbeemon and Tigervespamon for digivolution possibilities. Dracmon, Sangloupmon, and DinoRexmon are all natural X-Antibody carriers and are partner digimon.
I actually thought of this idea before though I used some armor Digimon since they had an attribute other than Free in some sources. An example for a Moral line for Kaito’s Dracmon there’s Yaksamon > Grademon > Fuijinmon Speaking of Kaito imagine how he and Marcus from Savers would interact with each other.
Hey Karn! Love the vid, and I had an idea! Some of the new paradox Pokémon from Pokémon scarlet/violet look like they could digivolve from their normal forms! So this gave me the idea of what if some Pokémon had digivolution lines mad up of other Pokémon? That would be fun!

Per usual, this was a great watch, Karn EX! I'd especially enjoyed your inclusion of Leviamon in Syakomon's Line, as I myself have long enjoyed Leviamon's design, especially with it's coloration and more crocodile-like aesthetic. I'd also particularly enjoyed the inclusion of Olecmon in Dracmon's line, as I found it interesting to go with something of a pirate theme in digivolution line. Maybe a survive cut content video - apparently theres a cut ending of Agumon becoming Skullgreymon and killing the other characters, however kinda iffy finding a source for this.
that doesnt seem like it would fit with the characters considering agumon just follows along with whatever the mc does. it doesnt really fit to get a dark evolution and kill everyone.
I'd like to see more survive content since it was my reintroduction to digimon and I really enjoy the characters, although not sure what exactly. I definitely want a full spoiler review / opinion piece to know your stance on gameplay / mechanics, characters and plot. As for evolution videos, the best I can think is giving the survive cast armor evolutions, and maybe swaping the partners (like you did with the aventure cast). Tbh I think survive has potential since I think survive works better as a cast / world then as game (it was still fun, but a lot of mechanics could have been better implemented / expanded).
Here's a fun idea for a Survive related content: Placed down bellow because spoilers I don't remember if it was either you or someone else that said it during your playthrough pf the game but the point is I like the idea too. So wouldn't it be cool if if their connection with Takuma were at max level, then each kids' parter in their Mega state could Jogress with WarGreymon to form something new, something that's akin to Omegamon, but different, or if not with WarGreymon then maybe with each other, that could also be cool too.
Thanks for this video Karn! I really loved digimon survive and its always nice to see those what-if especially this one. Id love that everybody had branchin evo tree like Takuma.
So I think a fun video would be “what if there were more Digimon based on Egyptian gods?”. We have Anubismon, but that’s really it as far as I know. I’d love to see Osirismon, Ramon, Gebmon, Sebekmon, Horusmon, (not a god, but this next one could the Venusmon of the group and keeps to the Egyptian theme, if there’s an actual Egyptian god that ties into this, it would also be acceptable) Cleopatramon. There’s so much you could do with the mythology and I wish Bandai would jump on it.
I still remember when they were promoting Digimon Survive, I thought (besides the obvious Adventure reference) that our main cast was gonna cover every type of Digimon. Augumon (Dinosaur/Dragon) Labramon (Beasts) Falcomon (Avain) Floramon (Plant) Kunemon (Insect) Lopmon (Holy) Dracmon (Dark) Syakomon (Marine) Will say that I was hoping for a little more surprise or Holy out of the Lopmon line as a surprise instead of always Antylamon and Cherubimon, kinda like Patamon/Gatomon in Adventure. Very glad to see someone else wanted Wizardmon, Astamon, and GranDracmon in Survive. The only remaining types left, which I thought these would be the secret teammates not shown in the promotional work, would be for the Cyborg/Machine type Digimon (Hagurumon, Clockmon, Andromon, Machinedramon, etc.) and the Elemental type (Gotsumon, Meramon, Frigimon). The Cyborg/Machine kinda clash with the "spirit world" aesthetic of Survive, but would have fit a mid game character, particularly an older one, who is either an outsider that forced their way in after studying tales of the Kemonogami or someone who was able to come back from that world when younger with a piece of it that allowed them to access it through technological means. Then your Elemental type child would be the one outside of the main group who has been stuck in that world the longest and developed a deep connection with the nature of that world (a kinda how I justified the those early evil Gotsumon in the promos). We kinda got those characters, but I was way off for partner guesses. And didn't think they'd shoehorn in Omnimon with a Gabumon character, I thought it was gonna be a story route with Labramon and DNA was a late game feature for if you kept everyone alive and on the right path.
Loved video. I consider that fact you immediately new some of us gonna ask about Funbeemon line hilarious. But I do have one thing that would change, instead of Dogmon I would probably use Gaogamon or BlackGaogamon.
I have played the video game saga called infamous so handle it pretty well My top four things that I will like to see are: the corrupted versions of the spirits that worked for Cherubimon in frontier, the hyper spirit evolution of the other 8 spirits, a purification version of the digimon demons looking like angels with hero themes and an alternative mode for the digimon knights similar to Dukemon with granny
I really like Renamon/Haru's evil line. Evilmon can be strange at first sight but its a nice reference to xros wars season 2 gattai lilithmon where lilithmon fusion with evilmon and blastmon. Also, i was super hoping to see her on Survive so its nice to see this what if contemplate my thoughts.
Yo Karn I have a really cool Digimon idea, it was in a dream of mine; Demiangemon. Acts in a similar way to DemiDevimon, and it's appearance is also really similar, but instead he's all white with mini angel wings, and his head sorta looks like an all white version of any of the angemon helmets, he also has a yellow/gold cross on his forehead. I figure Demiangemon could act as the new traditional rookie stage Angemon, replacing Patamon but both can keep that slot because it's Digimon ffs. But I was thinking alongside Demiangemon, we could get even more Angemon evolutions and maybe even angel beast evolutions. But alongside that, I was thinking of a Taoangemon/Taodevimon (y'all will probably come up with better names) but it's a DNA digivolution of both DemiDevimon and DemiAngemon, creating a far less dangerous lucimon-esque Digimon, that's basically half angel half demon. (I think it'd also be cool if this Digimon held an extremely gender neutral appearance as a reference to the masculinity on Angemon and Devimom, but the femininity of Lady Devimom and Angewoman.
I cant beleive they didn't do full branching evolutions for all of them. I spent ages searching the internet for them thinking some were missing. Broke my heart to realise none were missing they just dont exist
These were good choices for Gabumon I could see rage evolution be Dorulumon as it is a virus and has the yellow horn as Gabumon and could digivolve into either Astramon or Jeager Dorulumon and And Kunomon’s Rage evolution could be To snimon to Climbmon as I have come to see Snimo digivolve into Climbmon both Virius and both have large scife like claws.
Oh yeah that LadyDevimon and Lilithmon love. Evilmon is a bit weird but what can you do. I normally use something like Witchmon but it's sadly a Data type.

i think it would be cool to see if evil digimon dna digivolve with digimon they beat or lost to in the original story line examples would be lucemon and susanoomon, blephemon and shingegreymon, and my personal favorite diaboromon and omnimon

I always thought Tigervespamon looks like it could be a mega of Kunemon. I know technically Tigervespamon is strictly teh mega of fanbeemon but liek i said, Tvespamon always looked like it could digivolve from Kunemon aswell.
“Weirdly CaptainHookmon is a vaccine while Hookmon is a virus” Well I think that supposedly a Hookmon becomes Captain when they take out their predecessor? So it makes sense that they’d be resistant to their crew’s attacks-otherwise the same captain would never be around long enough to do anything.
So I REALLY didn't like Survive, like at all. I hated very second of it despite being a fan of visual novels. But I still love these kind of videos, they're so fun.

Hey man i need your help. Im trying to find this weird digivice i had back in the day. Its hard to remember exactly what it looked like. It was grey an looked like a big pill i think. You could wear it on your wrist like a power ranger morpher , and it had a window you could open and close to protect the screen. I swear it was real i just cant figure out what it was.
this just came to my mind what would happen if exveemon and hudiemon dna digivolved would their ultimate and mega still be the same or would they make a new ultimate and mega?
Huh, all the other Digimon didn’t have branching Evolution Paths? Just Agumon? Huh, i guess just having the Digimon of our Main Protagonist have that would make sense, considering that Our Character is the one who does overall make all of the choices in the Game and all, besides trying to figure out Evolutions for every Partner Digimon in Game probably would’ve been too much, Still, would have made things way more interesting though, at least to me.
I don’t think Wendigomon should have been the champion since it doesn’t really work with the story when Lopmon dark digivolves. Edited after this: I think there could be a way you can work X-antibody natural carriers in Survive, maybe the master creating a virus it could use to sacrifice the Digimon of the other world to survive. Final edit I don’t know how I feel about giving a (technically 10 year old) Lilithmon as a partner

There’s other examples of like suddenly small megas but are there many other just like super small Ultimates that aren’t in a generally small line
It's so annoying. The Gatomon being a champion and Angewomon being a ultimate is the other one that gets to me
then people remember that marine angemon is a mega level digimon that is extremely weak and small.
I really want to see the Digimon survive cast do a regular Bio merge, not dark bio merge

Missed opportunity to use Belphemon Rage Mode as the rage mega for Gabumon as it is Astamon's mega evolution. But great vid.

Per usual, this was a great watch, Karn EX! I'd especially enjoyed your inclusion of Leviamon in Syakomon's Line, as I myself have long enjoyed Leviamon's design, especially with it's coloration and more crocodile-like aesthetic. I'd also particularly enjoyed the inclusion of Olecmon in Dracmon's line, as I found it interesting to go with something of a pirate theme in digivolution line. Maybe a survive cut content video - apparently theres a cut ending of Agumon becoming Skullgreymon and killing the other characters, however kinda iffy finding a source for this.

that doesnt seem like it would fit with the characters considering agumon just follows along with whatever the mc does.
it doesnt really fit to get a dark evolution and kill everyone.
I'd like to see more survive content since it was my reintroduction to digimon and I really enjoy the characters, although not sure what exactly.
I definitely want a full spoiler review / opinion piece to know your stance on gameplay / mechanics, characters and plot.
As for evolution videos, the best I can think is giving the survive cast armor evolutions, and maybe swaping the partners (like you did with the aventure cast).
Tbh I think survive has potential since I think survive works better as a cast / world then as game (it was still fun, but a lot of mechanics could have been better implemented / expanded).

I don't remember if it was either you or someone else that said it during your playthrough pf the game but the point is I like the idea too. So wouldn't it be cool if if their connection with Takuma were at max level, then each kids' parter in their Mega state could Jogress with WarGreymon to form something new, something that's akin to Omegamon, but different, or if not with WarGreymon then maybe with each other, that could also be cool too.

So I think a fun video would be “what if there were more Digimon based on Egyptian gods?”. We have Anubismon, but that’s really it as far as I know. I’d love to see Osirismon, Ramon, Gebmon, Sebekmon, Horusmon, (not a god, but this next one could the Venusmon of the group and keeps to the Egyptian theme, if there’s an actual Egyptian god that ties into this, it would also be acceptable) Cleopatramon. There’s so much you could do with the mythology and I wish Bandai would jump on it.
I still remember when they were promoting Digimon Survive, I thought (besides the obvious Adventure reference) that our main cast was gonna cover every type of Digimon.

Will say that I was hoping for a little more surprise or Holy out of the Lopmon line as a surprise instead of always Antylamon and Cherubimon, kinda like Patamon/Gatomon in Adventure.
Very glad to see someone else wanted Wizardmon, Astamon, and GranDracmon in Survive.
The only remaining types left, which I thought these would be the secret teammates not shown in the promotional work, would be for the Cyborg/Machine type Digimon (Hagurumon, Clockmon, Andromon, Machinedramon, etc.) and the Elemental type (Gotsumon, Meramon, Frigimon). The Cyborg/Machine kinda clash with the "spirit world" aesthetic of Survive, but would have fit a mid game character, particularly an older one, who is either an outsider that forced their way in after studying tales of the Kemonogami or someone who was able to come back from that world when younger with a piece of it that allowed them to access it through technological means. Then your Elemental type child would be the one outside of the main group who has been stuck in that world the longest and developed a deep connection with the nature of that world (a kinda how I justified the those early evil Gotsumon in the promos).
We kinda got those characters, but I was way off for partner guesses. And didn't think they'd shoehorn in Omnimon with a Gabumon character, I thought it was gonna be a story route with Labramon and DNA was a late game feature for if you kept everyone alive and on the right path.
I was surprised cyberdramon wasn't featured as Dracmon's vaccine ultimate! Fab video though, a tough task!
Loved video. I consider that fact you immediately new some of us gonna ask about Funbeemon line hilarious. But I do have one thing that would change, instead of Dogmon I would probably use Gaogamon or BlackGaogamon.

I have played the video game saga called infamous so handle it pretty well
My top four things that I will like to see are: the corrupted versions of the spirits that worked for Cherubimon in frontier, the hyper spirit evolution of the other 8 spirits, a purification version of the digimon demons looking like angels with hero themes and an alternative mode for the digimon knights similar to Dukemon with granny

I really like Renamon/Haru's evil line. Evilmon can be strange at first sight but its a nice reference to xros wars season 2 gattai lilithmon where lilithmon fusion with evilmon and blastmon. Also, i was super hoping to see her on Survive so its nice to see this what if contemplate my thoughts.
Yo Karn I have a really cool Digimon idea, it was in a dream of mine; Demiangemon. Acts in a similar way to DemiDevimon, and it's appearance is also really similar, but instead he's all white with mini angel wings, and his head sorta looks like an all white version of any of the angemon helmets, he also has a yellow/gold cross on his forehead.
I figure Demiangemon could act as the new traditional rookie stage Angemon, replacing Patamon but both can keep that slot because it's Digimon ffs.
But I was thinking alongside Demiangemon, we could get even more Angemon evolutions and maybe even angel beast evolutions.
But alongside that, I was thinking of a Taoangemon/Taodevimon (y'all will probably come up with better names) but it's a DNA digivolution of both DemiDevimon and DemiAngemon, creating a far less dangerous lucimon-esque Digimon, that's basically half angel half demon. (I think it'd also be cool if this Digimon held an extremely gender neutral appearance as a reference to the masculinity on Angemon and Devimom, but the femininity of Lady Devimom and Angewoman.

I cant beleive they didn't do full branching evolutions for all of them. I spent ages searching the internet for them thinking some were missing. Broke my heart to realise none were missing they just dont exist

These were good choices for Gabumon I could see rage evolution be Dorulumon as it is a virus and has the yellow horn as Gabumon and could digivolve into either Astramon or Jeager Dorulumon and And Kunomon’s Rage evolution could be To snimon to Climbmon as I have come to see Snimo digivolve into Climbmon both Virius and both have large scife like claws.
Oh yeah that LadyDevimon and Lilithmon love. Evilmon is a bit weird but what can you do. I normally use something like Witchmon but it's sadly a Data type.
I thought it was weird that Fangmon was a Data-type. It could work as a Data Champion for Labramon (or even a certain spoiler Digimon).
Personally with how many uncommon digimon actually got in I wish they had done zeedgarurumon instead of metal, loved your choices

Well I think that supposedly a Hookmon becomes Captain when they take out their predecessor? So it makes sense that they’d be resistant to their crew’s attacks-otherwise the same captain would never be around long enough to do anything.

So I REALLY didn't like Survive, like at all. I hated very second of it despite being a fan of visual novels. But I still love these kind of videos, they're so fun.

Hey man i need your help. Im trying to find this weird digivice i had back in the day. Its hard to remember exactly what it looked like. It was grey an looked like a big pill i think. You could wear it on your wrist like a power ranger morpher , and it had a window you could open and close to protect the screen.
I swear it was real i just cant figure out what it was.

Huh, i guess just having the Digimon of our Main Protagonist have that would make sense, considering that Our Character is the one who does overall make all of the choices in the Game and all,
besides trying to figure out Evolutions for every Partner Digimon in Game probably would’ve been too much,

I don’t think Wendigomon should have been the champion since it doesn’t really work with the story when Lopmon dark digivolves. Edited after this: I think there could be a way you can work X-antibody natural carriers in Survive, maybe the master creating a virus it could use to sacrifice the Digimon of the other world to survive. Final edit I don’t know how I feel about giving a (technically 10 year old) Lilithmon as a partner
