    Many thanks for access.
    Jung seems to me to be correct because he never ceased but only spoke to the soul. In my judgement its impossible to do away with Jung s revealed truth. Whatever else is on the picture, jungs creative, artistic, symbolic, relational, other is indispensable to the the explanation of life and its patterns.
    I've followed amd met many a Guru, faith, tradition, and culture. They never escape this process. No individual does.
    Whatever else may be true, this seems to me to be an accurate account of our suffering, love and sacrifice.
    Only when; as both christ and Buddha said; only when you die to your current self will you be reborn into truth

    There are glimpses of Christ dealing with his shadow. One example is when satan tempts him during his desert sojourn. Most read it as temptation coming from an outside force, but I believe the temptation came from within.

      It was more like realization. If we sell ourselves to the material world, lie and manipulate, we can rule the world and have 'everything' beneath our feet. As you know the rulers of this world are pure Satanists (materialists).
      I understood this when I was reading this passage when I was a kid. Using my own logic.

    Been reading the brilliant Jung and he’s helping me to process trauma through dreams . Dreams help us to process and purge trauma memories . I’m finding that until we process trauma (not solely through rationalizing it but through the body and emotions) we will be stuck in current endeavors . Success seems to want healing to happen first . Maybe to clear the focus for the tasks of that success ?

      I have long believed that dreams help us work out what is conflicted between our conscious an unconscious selves. It makes sense to me that past traumas would show up in the drama of our dreams. Without the help of a Jungian therapist how do we best enhance the dream experience that so many of us have nightly?

    instead of words like "gpod" and "bad" I prefer life affirming or life negating. This way it is less ambiguous. And here, "life-affirming" means all that heals life, all that nurtures life, all that protects life, all that celebrates life, all that is gentle to life, all that allows life to live, for children to explore, for artists to create, for earth to thrive, for life to learn without reserve, for people to choose, to nurture body, mind and soul of all. good and bad have become all to synonymous with conformity and rebellion--even when rebellion is life affirming and conformity, life negating.

    • @funkchurches
      @funkchurches 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a monumental contribution. It takes a “spiritual” vision, born of learned wisdom, to see life -affirmation correctly. Those who unconsciously pursue life affirmation most often do not see that their life is not affirmed in any other way than by their own ignorant consciousness. The inability to see and accept the salvation of paradox leaves us blind to destruction.

      At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: “I am rising to do the work of a human being. What do I have to complain about, if I’m going to do what I was born for-the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?” - But it’s nicer here …
      So were you born to feel “nice”? Instead of doing things and experiencing them? Don’t you see the plants, the birds, the ants and spiders and bees going about their individual tasks, putting the world in order, as best they can? And you’re not willing to do your job as a human being? Why aren’t you running to do what your nature demands? - But we have to sleep sometime… Agreed. But nature set a limit on that - as it did on eating and drinking. And you’re over the limit. You’ve had more than enough of that. But not of working. There’s still more of that to do.
      You don’t love yourself enough. For if you did, you’d love your nature too, and what it demands of you. People who love what they do wear themselves down doing it, they even forget to wash or eat. Do you have less respect for your own nature than the engraver does for engraving, the dancer for the dance, the miser for money or the social climber for status? When they’re really possessed by what they do, they’d rather stop eating and sleeping than give up practicing their arts. Is not then your labor in the world just as worthy of respect and worth your effort? (Book 5, Paragraph 1)

      GVSH... the most important thing, G, is knowing that that you don't know. It's the 1st step on the path of wisdom. Suspending judgement helps with clearing the mind. Remaining there, for as long as possible, is the meditative state. There will always be more to add or subtract from any subject. Re-play, re-listen, re-read, re-learn. Keep going. Your doing fine. You've begun. Always, a beginner. I've heard said, that you just get going, and then you die. Not living to die, but dieing to live, and love, and learn, is the great state. The Grace state. Also, the "grey" state. Nothing's ever finniished. Everything's up for grabs. Grasp lightly, gently. We're all compelled to learn. Learning how to learn, is the key that unlocks the door to "in-formation"...

      The Figure 8 Analogy:
      An analogy on life, death, the dream-state and the symbolism intertwined within the human experience.
      We human beings are not traveling in the abstract motion of a straight line towards death (for instance, the numerical straight line of say 1-89). Instead, we are moving in the motion of a figure 8. The Figure 8 is a natural repeating pattern that is divided into two halves and is thus the perfect symbol to represent the human life cycle and our two primary states of existence that we are continuously moving in and out of -the Awake state and the Dream state.
      When we awake from sleep we come full circle to when we fall back asleep (represented by the bottom half of the figure 8 )and when we go into the dream state we come full circle to when we awake from the dream state (represented by the top half of the figure 8 ). Upon death; the figure 8 of life untwines, but it’s not the body untwining from the mind that this analogy represents. It's two states of mind untwining to form a larger state of mind. (8-0)
      Because the awake state is really a state -of mind, with our body's physical reality "consciously" intertwined; and the dream-state is also a state of mind, with our body's physical reality "subconsciously" intertwined. Therefore; upon death, these two states of mind untwine to form a “larger” state of mind. A state that has all the potentialities of the dream world (flying, telepathy, psychokinesis, etc) combined with all the actualities of the awake world(nature, form, bonds, etc). This I refer to as the transitional analogy.
      While conceiving The Figure 8 Analogy, I realized life and death must be perceived -from one point of view- as seperate entities(the transitional analogy(8-0), but must also be perceived -from another point of view- as inseparable entities(the symbolic analogy👇), both of which are ultimately linked by the dream-state.
      The symbolic analogy consists of the untwined figure 8 of life/the 'circle of death’, if you will, which -abstractly- overlapps the ‘circle of life’/the Earth, with the overlappment representing the dream-state, like the common area in a venn diagram, and implies that the dream state is just as much a part of life as is of death ~by which semi-explains precognitive dreams, prodromal dreams, "visitations" by deceased relatives, etc; for the dream-state has a foothold in the afterlife, and is based on the premise that “while our body sleeps, our dream state symbolically represents the state that awaits upon our body's ultimate rest.”
      In other words, while we are lying down and sleeping/dreaming, this natural process symbolizes where we go when we're ultimately lying down/dead -to a place "like" our dream-state...A state "of mind” with our body's physical form+bonds eternally engrained and intertwined.

      And it has four quadrants representative of the whole self described by Jung: persona, unconscious, shadow and anima/animus.

  • @SiniAnimations
    @SiniAnimations 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    As much as I like Jung and even agree with view of psychological opposites, I think a lot of his meditations on evil are a semantic misunderstanding.
    A christian will say that evil is the perversion of something good. For example gluttony is over-consuming as opposed to consuming appropriate amounts. The former occurs because the impulse for the latter is poorly integrated.
    In the same way Jung would have probably conceded that evil occurs when the shadow isn't voluntarily confronted and continually integrated. That was most likely his reason for writing this to begin with, after all.
    Good and evil in the christian sense are asymmetrical concepts because they relate to the opposites differently, namely as balance and imbalance of them.

    • @LiMitZplus
      @LiMitZplus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jung also saw the opposites as asymmetrical

    • @jeanettesdaughter
      @jeanettesdaughter 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Circuitous reasoning that. It’s simpler to know evil as the absence of good rather than the opposite. The shadow isn’t evil , it’s that which is not illuminated, the dark side of the moon as it were. But the moon is a sphere not a two dimensional figure. We are each more than one thing, more than one side. Christians or rather the Church have so demonized the shadow that we fear to face it. But Christ is no respecter of churches. Be mindful of what is, the whole Self. Face the shadow, illuminate him and he is gone- get Thee behind!

    Jung for me was more of a reliable go to and reality of the self or atman while in the flesh than Jesus could ever be. Jesus is all heresay yet helpful but jung to me is a tangible philosophy that touches my heart profoundly read and listening to his writings and there’s tons! Jesus to me was a symbol or a game of telephone that got to be more folklore than written truths . Jung was both loving and unforgiving because he was most likely tapped into the divine self more than most and lived very close to truth which is a funny thing , Jung knew everyone was living their own truth or perceived realities and he was one of the most open minded excepting men I’ve ever read about which makes him a great image for a divine forgiving nature which we all know as the folklore of Jesus

    I've read some books on Jung, but I still don't understand. How do you do shadow work, how do you know if you're projecting your shadow. Do you think by practicing Buddhist type meditation practices ie mindfulness practice,you can get in touch with your shadow become more aware of your inner self, whatever that really means. I think modern life does get in the way of being mindful being in the moment, being in the here and now, as opposed to what seems to happen most of the time. You are here and now in your body, but the mind is usually somewhere else thinking about other things, millions of miles away

    This brings to reality bear on Aristotlean syllogism, or syllogistic reasoning, where A is A only, and cannot be B, because these two are both together and separate. Thank goodness I have the complete process of this axiomatic formulation which in its essence is mathematical and therefore, absolute, and an abstraction of reality.
