When you were walking down the street ,and listening to the church bells.. then said this is truly magical.. that is exactly the word in my head. Wow.... the Inn, the gorgeous grounds and surrounding buildings, the historical decor. Pure magic. My idea of a perfect getaway . WHen night fell it was incredible. Like being in a movie. When you got up with the birds... I said, I want to have my coffee and a breakfast croissant on that beautiful little white bistro table out there. I can only imagine the peaceful tranquility. Thanks for the mini vacation... if only in my dreams.
I wish my ancestors would of had the same freedom for me to relish in the beauty with out feeling the pain. How ever I love your joy for the beauty of it all.

As an exchange student, I spent 5 summers working in Martha's Vineyard. A lot of great memories from this wonderful place. From time to time, I just type Martha's Vineyard on TH-cam to find any recent video so I can go back and remember the time I spent there.
I live in Europe, and the last time I was there was in 2018. I hope to be able to go back one day and I wish it's sooner than later, so I can still meet some of the people I've known from the time I spent there and just go back to visit this amazing place and hopefully meet these people. Thank you for this video!

Really, anytime right after Labor Day is the best time to visit Martha's Vineyard. Families summering there go home, and all the kids go back to school. It is one of my favorite places to visit. Thank you for sharing!

What memories this brings back to me visited years ago when my 3 boys were young my husband rented a Dune Buggy & we traveled around seeing the sights. My kids loved every minute of that trip. Thanks again for so many beautiful & memorable sighs you bring to us. 😊❤️

I spent an unforgettable summer there as a 16-year-old au pair. We were in a beautiful three story home in West Chop, across from the Lighthouse. On my days off, I walked every inch of the island. I feel so blessed to have had that experience. A magical place!

Thanks for letting go with you on your trip to Martha's Vineyard. I've lived in NC for decades, but used to live a couple of hours north of NYC. I remember Martha's Vineyard from those days. There's no better domestic architecture anywhere in the world!

This was fantastic Linda, and you hit the weather perfectly. This last week over your birthday was perfect. You have inspired me to look into the Charlotte Inn. It is truly magical. When i was a child, I sailed over to Vineyard Haven but have not spent time as an adult on the Vineyard. Only Nantucket. My girlfriend's husband was the architect for that home you showed. He is quite famous in Wellesley and on The Vineyard. I have told you we may be related as we go back in the same towns to the early 1600's. Thank you Linda, This was beautiful. Linda, love this video. Love Edgartown. Love Mass. I am from Nova Scotia and have a great affinity for the New England states, long history between Canada’s Maritime provinces and the New England states.
Yes! One of the ancestors listed went to Nova Scotia as did many of my father's side of the family from Nantucket.

So lovely. What a perfect getaway. My husband and I take a week’s getaway the second week of October every year. We look forward to it more than anything. Linda, this is such a beautiful account of your visit to Martha's Vineyard. I lived on the island when I was very young (think decades ago) when the island was much more uninhabited. I was actually born in Boston because there was no hospital back then. It is a beautiful gem of New England.

Linda AKA as Good Queen Linda: There are no appropriate words to describe The Charlotte Inn and your suite of rooms. All I can say.....it was stunning. We have been to Martha's Vineyard, but not to Edgartown. Actually, my husband just told me we drove through it. That was over 20 years ago. It is time to go back and October would be a perfect month. I love New England. We went frequently, but not in the last few years. I love your video, Linda. Thank you for showing us the details of your suite of rooms. We went to Martha’s Vineyard from Minnesota last year, we LOVED it! My husbands cousin owns a cottage out there. I would live on Cape Cod in a heartbeat!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this trip. The Inn, everything I could see about Edgartown, the proximity to the water, it all makes my heart sing. I am a transplant, my daughter was born here in New England. She has to live elsewhere for a time, her husband is in the military. She longs for home as we both LOVE New England more than we can say. What you hav3 shown us all here is exactly what we both live about New England. I can’t wait until she comes home…..
