Silly question: If you can only choose from pre-made patterns, wouldnt all of the music produced with this library sound the same? I am quite interested in this but I am converned at the lack of flexibility to write my own music with it.
Not at all, you can also play your own melodies, chords, etc, you don't have to use the patterns at all. But a guitar is an instrument that is hard to get sounding realistic played with a keyboard, so the patterns definitely help. If you use the patterns they will also follow the chords and keys you play or program in your DAW, so you're still composing your own music, it's like you're telling the guitarist what to play. They are not pre-recorded audio loops, but are fully-editable and flexible.
Man what you do is so inspirational and I’m learning all I can…I’ve purchased everything I need and I plan to make boom bap beats with sampled records, similar to you and cookin soul…however I’m worried about copyright strikes in my channel…will my videos get flagged if I sample random records from TH-cam??? . I plan to even sample vinyl. Any advice would help
Thanks! Glad you're finding inspiration in my videos! Sampling from other songs on YT is hit and miss in terms of copyright issues. If a song is really big and popular you may get a copyright claim (not necessarily a copyright strike, which is much worse but less likely to happen). If you sample more obscure stuff you may be able to get away with it and even be able to monetize the video. Maybe I should do a dedicated video on the subject to explain in more detail.
@@LowHeatBeats Thanks for the clarification! Id really appreciate a video on this topic. Im reserching now about claims vs strikes. In your experience is it hard to monetize sampling videos vs your other videos? If so, what is a rough percentage?
@@donnylee9897 It's hard to say, as I don't even make such videos that often. I think you shouldn't be concerned with monetization if you're just starting out, you won't make any money in the beginning anyway.
Although the quality of your productions has raised considerably over the years, I can't deny the feeling that this channel has become more and more of a Native Instruments outlet lately. And you've become more of a poster boy for them, which is hurting your reputation. If that is deliberate, then fine. TH-cam is full of fanboi channels. If not, I suggest you really clean up house and make your videos less around NI stuff. Last week's Push 2 video being a good example.
Hey fam, even though you're being critical, I appreciate your feedback! I'm actually already definitely doing plenty of non-NI related videos and I plan to diversify the topics even more. The problem is that the TH-cam algorithm just pushes these videos about NI products to more people, so they get more views and this also means you may not even see the other videos being suggested to you. But your suggestion is definitely noted and appreciated.
@@LowHeatBeats I'm a subscriber to your channel, therefore not dependent on TH-cam suggestions because I see all of your videos. Which is why I made this suggestion. Hope it helps you. If not, then keep doing your stuff. In the end, it's just a suggestion.
The synth line fits so well!
Thank you so much man!

Great track. I swear you make drum patterns look so easy.
Appreciate you fam! It took me many years of practice to be able to record drums with the pads like this and I still don’t nail it every time.

Much appreciated!

You should do some tutorials on how to layer chords on top of a mellody. I struggle with that a lot😞
Me too

@@LowHeatBeats Super helpful, thanks! Does Mint include the melody instrument that is in their deluxe guitars?
@@WildAnalog Yup, it does.
Awesome video!
What's the vst for the piano?
I don’t remember. Probably Ableton Live’s stock rhodes from the Electric Keyboards pack, that’s the one I use the most.

@@LowHeatBeats ok thanks for the help and ill keep that in mind
Nice but I hear a little delay on the track when it loops
Possibly, yeah, that’s mostly from the video editing, I cut out some parts so it’s not too long and repetitive.
