If your bird is dirty underneath then, yes. Most of the dirt will be on the top feather so you can just work the feathers in the soapy water and it should come off easy. Remember to allow enough time for the feathers to dry before you have to show them. Normally a couple of days are needed for the feathers to dry.

What about silkies and polish chickens?
Essentially the same process. Some use a bluing shampoo on white chickens. A hair drier on a cool setting can be used to dry and fluff feathers.
Would this work with Ducks
if ducks have access to water all the time they will be clean and you wont have to bathe them just spot clean
How do you get your chicken to calm enough to do this. This is serious. Not just a joke.
