- On this episode we give you a sneak peek of our new purchase a 1962 Gleaner Model A Combine with a two row corn head. Hopefully we'll get to test it out this fall!
Looks good. Take good care of it. Farm equipment manufacturers have very little time for the side gig, weekend farmer with a handful of acres. Smaller and older doesn't always mean obsolete.
nice model a!
Lol, Love the ending. Let that be your thing. Can’t wait to see it work. As always you guys are great.
I got a 2 model A's over in England. One 1960 and one 1964. Both with grain headers. The ones built here were painted Allis orange. My favourite combines of all.
Wow that thing is super cool! Interesting cab design ugly but i love it! and it even runs! Dangit guys... ima have to track down a sales brochure now. ;)
I agree that cabs kinda ugly!
started farming with a C back in 1971 looked just like your A l wanted 4 row becauce of the hills l farmed biggest teouble was keeping it cool not enough radaitor even put on a D19 radaitor ran it a few years and bought a Cll lot better combine and in a few years got a very late model Cll with side hill blower varibal speed reel and nicer cab!! it was a very good cmbine ran it many years and then got a L ran it few years rebuilding it along the way and then got a real beast N6 what a monster used it till retirement!!!
Another great piece for the AC fleet👍can’t wait to see A model in Corn fields harvesting👍
Now harvest irritated 260 bushel corn with it this fall
That's a great find! Was that fancy cab an option when they were built or was it added later from aa C?
It was made by Ansel and was an aftermarket option.
I think they look cooler open station, but my brother likes the cab so I guess we'll keep it.
@@JandLVideos I like the look of open station better, but I don't think those cabs are too common, so I'd keep it on!
Congrats Luke, Jim , Andrew, and Nolan can’t wait to see y’all shelling corn with this fall btw are y’all hitting the farm progress show aug 31 - September 2?
Won't be making that one, used most of my vacation for a trip coming up in a couple weeks
the engine would run much better with a little valve job
I wonder how shiny that cornhead would be after 200 acres of corn.
My d21 guess was not to off. Lol We have a gleaner f.
What size Motor does it have
6 cylinder 230cu Allis Chalmers engine
@@JandLVideos nice our L had the 350 Chevy in it
You definitely got enough equipment to farm now don’t ya LOL
