This is the best format to find out who is the real European champion even dividing team into groups doesnt give real European champion because sometimes good team get outs in the group stage and not every team play with other other.
I like this idea of an extended Champions League format. Teams need to recruit more players and give playing time to the players and young players. Football recruits many young people in their academies and they need to open more opportunities.
Teams should be given the leverage to sign more players cuz there will be burnouts, exhaustion etc, dbut the fact is small clubs will suffer. This is not good. Courtois was right to say this people don't care about the guys who make them get more money in their pockets. Flerentino is watching.

Under current format plzen had no chance of progressing due to an unlucky draw in the 22/23 season - Bayern, Barcelona and Inter Milan in their group
Under the new format they would have - Bayern, Barca , inter and for the extra teams - arsenal, Copenhagen Belgrade, Celtic and shaktar Donetsk
So they’d have the 4 games vs the big teams and 4 games vs teams at a beatable/similar level and which would help them get points to boost their league coefficient
Winners Will Be Boring now Only Same Winner and Not Get to See Matches like that Galatasary Beating Barcelona,Real Madrid lost With BVB Dortmond,BVB Dortmond 4 Real madrid 0,
We Don't get to see This kind Match Than this formate Is Boring to Watch,
I think this is a great idea. It gives smaller teams from the other leagues a chance to compete because now these big money teams with 20+ players will now have to rotate their squad. The top teams have all the money, people cry about this being a big money scam but what about teams that are a billion dollars worth compared to say a team like Club Brugge. This is more than fair.
The Champions League should be totally scrapped. There should be a return to a knock-out tournament with no seeding.
And, of course, only "champions" of each countries were allowed!
@@ezraezra2928 Goes without saying.
Rubbish bullshit rules. It’s just an excuse to make more money by adding more teams and matches. Imagine what will happen to players. Their quality will surely go down and fatigue will make them lazy. In my opinion there should be total 30 champion league team all compete with each other in a league format and only top 8 qualify for the quarterfinals and so on. This is the best format to find out who is the real European champion even dividing team into groups doesnt give real European champion because sometimes good team get outs in the group stage and not every team play with other other.
This will be a big upset because good big teams could get knocked out and average teams could be lucky to go far
Ah so making it more competitive
Just make it an unseeded knock out - might actually inject some interest back into it.
I like this idea of an extended Champions League format. Teams need to recruit more players and give playing time to the players and young players. Football recruits many young people in their academies and they need to open more opportunities.
I'm really excited for the new format !
I honestly prefer this like have you seen this year's knockout games, and i thought the Group Stages is boring.
Tbf I rather give more spot to those non-Big 5 league, instead of 4th place somehow can make into the Champions League
If it has to be a team from a top 5 league then teh fa cup winners should get priority over a trophyless team
Teams should be given the leverage to sign more players cuz there will be burnouts, exhaustion etc, dbut the fact is small clubs will suffer. This is not good. Courtois was right to say this people don't care about the guys who make them get more money in their pockets. Flerentino is watching.
So do they still do the top 4 to champions League?
As a fan I am sick of more games. I love attending games but when you factor in travel expenses as well as ticket prices, then you're watching players struggling to cope and either getting injured or not able to perform at their best. Too many games. It's all about money nothing else.
Well, you can always stay home and watch on the big screen.

They just keep finding ways to complicate football and destroy the essence of the very sport🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
If a current football season wasnt already over packed then wow, now we have a super packed one. Just prepare for the inevitable, which is major quality drop in big games. And last but not least, prepare for hordes of injuries. Can the federations not see the already unusually high injury rates??? Now its gonna be worse. Look at how Barca, Madrid, Atletico, Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Inter and Ac Milan plus more have had it difficult because of injuries to key players. This has got to be a joke. Players aren't robots..but it seems the money's more important to these hypocrites calling the shots.
Wow your low iq peanut brain take aged like milk. Did you not see the Qf? “Major quality drop im big games” 😂 silly dante with your low iq Napoleon complex
Absolutely bollocks format - the average fan is going to be confused with this one as well and lose interest! Also, why should teams finished 5th and 6th like United, get a place? Losing it's relevance.
Still trying to make sense of the Nations League
We will have to experience the first season before we can talk.
I don’t know if the new version will be better but lets also not pretend like the current group stage system is perfect. Theres always a group of death and always huge mismatch groups like Man City, RB Leipzig, Young Boys, and FK Crvena Zvezda.
i dun like it! confusing and dilutes the quality of the top tier UEFA club competition for me?
i think everyone is worried too
New format is rubbish. More games added to the calender. Expect more injuries to players.
Swindon town can win the FA cup if quality players don't have energy/time to play in them.
It's European league..just uefa are milking it ....Next FIFA will increase size of their club tournament to increase their piece of the pie ...and people wonder why Klopp quiting...ChampionsISH league ..Ridiculous
Why fix something which is not broken.
This is to fight off the European Super League. It maybe more interesting but will be more taxing on the players and teams
They assume us fools will watch. Nah, I will find something else to do with my time. Learn from Budlight - never take the consumer for granted.
This is like Super League's idea only... with more lower end teams. So a little more for everyone
They are cutting out two of the good teams, it’s making it less competitive and easier to fix
IN short , uefa dont want to give teams time, so that they can think of super league and other stuff. Its simple they have planned to make sure teams remain concentrated in UEFA competition with long time and more matches... Rest, reasons are bullshit...
This is going to negatively impact the English teams more than the rest. Two extra games on top of a highly competitive premier league. Not only that the PL don’t give the extra rest days given in the other leagues.
I mean at least bring back away goals being worth more than home goals.
More usual set up - "TOP" club kept apart and even when the get to play off round , seeded again to try and get the Top Clubs moving on. 36 teams in a pot and draw them , no seeding and next round..
The added teams will be no competition to the top teams. It's a waste of time.
They are killing the sort
More games doesn't benefit football it only benefit those with larger squad.
I honestly believe FIFA these days want to destroy football.
New format will be done in about 2 years and everyone will go back to the classic style
Finding ways to destroy the game. All this extra football is the shortening of players careers.
FIFA has increased Club World Cup, and here, UEFA has expanded their own, so what was the fuss about the Super League?
is this to avoid the super league ....structure seems similar
This is greed that is going to go against the players health and mental well being. This just shows how little they are concerned about the players and just looking to pad their pockets at the players expense.
Every team in EFL be peed off with these teams bemoaning amount of games, killing of League Cup or scrapping it altogether or keeping it for the EFL clubs and scrapping Football League Trophy. UEFA will have to increase squad numbers to 35 l bet.
Why are they ruining something that works perfectly fine I really don’t get it why just why ?
They don't think about the players they think about the money n I don't like it
They are taking the life and soul out of football its all about money this is just a stepping stone to the super league leaving all the small clubs behind 💯
So virtually the same teams in the knockouts every year
