What a great way to look at the world. Trusting people pays off. Thank you.

What sort of person would 'dislike' this? (Serious question)
This is an amazing talk about how important trust is; how can anyone think that is a bad (or 'dislikeable' thing)!(?)

She's a real force in the universe. I saw her perform in 2007. There were these zombie prom performers they had on stage before the music. What a hoot.

"Ask without shame" I like that statement a lot. I am wondering if there is anything that we cannot ask without shame that is worth asking.

I think it's more about being given money for giving something for free in return. My thoughts instantly went to all the webcomics I have been following for years. How much work these people have put into this project that they give for anyone to enjoy for free, and how ashamed they seem when they ask for donations. Getting something sorely for being famous would be someone like the Kardashians asking for donations for their plastic surgeries :P

What she says about asking is like the idea of subbable, it worked because she asked not forced people to pay

Both those terms are most commonly meant to be condescending and derogatory, that's true. In this specific case however, I don't think its what the speaker meant.
I got the impression she was trying to describe their situation, and how bad she felt for them having nothing. She was using "illegal immigrant" not to insult them, but to explain to use that they were hiding, they were scared, they were poor, they were struggling.
Same with "Broken English." Its another hardship on the mother.

Well if you let people pay for music the music has to actually be good which is why it could never go mainstream

I think she meant it literally, jorgipogi. The family was here illegally. But curiously, is the term "Broken English" in some way construed as offensive?

You have not because you ask not and when you do ask..... Pretty sure that's in James.

U could call them illegal immigrants, but the rest is unnecessary. I guess she had to over extend her descriptive prerogative.
