- A squad of ODSTs face off against 3 waves of Covenant troops. The difficulty starts at Easy and when the ODSTs eliminate all opposing troops they progress to Normal, if they all die, well... They still progress through the difficulties. Easy, Normal, Heroic and Legendary. Place your bets in the comments - what difficulty will the ODSTs reach before being eliminated?
If you have a suggest of what you'd like to see, leave a comment. Not all of my AI videos will be a Firefight type scenario, some will be plain Battles and other random Halo shenanigans.

but they are usually invincible and with some cod games i found all you had to do was move forward enough to get your allies to move and they run up kill everything and the fight is over. I am looking at you cod ghost as the worst offender of this. Its pretty damn lame to rely on your ai being unstoppable.

I loved rolling up to a stronghold in Far Cry 3 with a flatbed full of 5 Rakyat, even if they usually got their asses kicked. It kinda sucks that you can only drive around with one friendly in Far Cry 5, but at least they can actually fight

@@theicemanleaveth Tbh they can 1 vs 1 an elite on legendary with plasma rifles. They shoot just as fast as elites if they also have plasma rifles plus they have the edge of being smaller targets.
I don't remember them bein that good either but i was a beast at Halo 2 humbleness out the window

Make all ODST AI's go through missions by themselves. Have them on legendary and the Covenant on normal. If that's possible. It would be sweet.

Give the SMG one a sniper rifle and this would've gone a lot better for the ODSTs.
Still did pretty well, wiped out the first wave for all but Legendary.

Why is it that the halo 2 Marines and ODST's seem to be more agile and think quicker than the Halo 3, 3 ODST, Reach, 4, and 5 Marines?
Yadiel Gomez That will forever be a mystery, my friend. Halo 3 Marines were much weaker, but that was balanced by the fact that you always had large numbers of them, and they were much better at driving. From what I remember, most of the Marines and NMPD Officers in ODST died too quickly to be any help, but your ODST Squadmates were invincible and you could still give them any weapon. Reach's Marine AI is a joke - they spend more time diving and dodging than actually fighting, they're weaker than Marines in any other Bungie game, and they can't kill anything on their own. Halo 4 Marines might as well have been put there for decoration, and Halo 5 didn't have marines, but the few friendlies you encounter literally were put there for decoration.
Halo 2 is honestly the only Halo game where I can legitimately expect my friendly AI to help. Every other Halo game consists of babysitting them to keep them alive, and there's not much reason to even do that in Reach-5, because you can't even take a squad with you through the whole level.
@@theicemanleaveth I just beat Halo 2 on my original Xbox yesterday and unfortunately the AI has a tendency to not fire their weapons when on a vehicle sadly. You'll be driving around doing whatever and they'll just stop firing altogether. (Don't get me started on them driving) But I will admit the Marines on 2 were definitely a great help when they actually worked lol.

I love this vid, but now that I look back. I think 4 Elites at a time is as lot for one wave. I think there should be 2-3 elites and or brutes per wave. But I do like how you added an ultra elite on the third wave. Maybe a brute chieftain and a zealot could be used in combat waves as well.

Bubba DarthColeman8, delta halo all grunts on turrets had plasma rifles, but otherwise never but since their ai programmed to use them their as good as elites with them.

Wow OdST in halo 2 are wayyyyy better than the halo 3 ones
Delta Forces ODST's in Halo 3 are basically Marines in shiny outfits. In Halo 2, they actually have increased stats, better Combat Awareness and stuff like that. (Not to mention the fact that default Marines in Halo 2 are the best in the series to begin with)
Does anyone have a mod where you can play this with the ODST squad and fight off waves o the covenant? That would be fun
It’s not a mod, but if you have bought the anniversary map pack in Halo Reach or have bought Halo CE anniversary, you can fight alongside 4 ODSTs in firefight.

It's painful to watch supposedly badass Elites get their ass handed to them by puny ODST soldiers. Still nice video and Legendary play was very satisfying.
ODSTs are badasses in their own rights.
Odst's are known as "imps" in halo as opposed to demonic spartans, as in they are some of the most feared humans the covenant has to fight
ODSTs are certainly baddasses in their own rights. I’ve had a lone elite zealot kill an entire platoon worth of marines on his own (which was 27 marines total but he failed to kill the officer leading the platoon and his escort. Resulting in only 24 kills for the zealot leaving only 3 survivors including the officer) but then got taken down by a squad of ODSTs in ground command.

Why not make the map more open? Give the ODST'S better weapons and make more of them, its kinda unfair to have 8 grunts and 6 elites vs 5 ODST lol. Maybe you can add 2 spartans in and have an 8 man fire team

By using a editing tool called 'Assembly'.
I change the AI encounters within the scenarios, to add ODSTs and different enemies.
I then use BluTrainer to fly around and record the battle as it unfolds.
I wish you could do this on console.

Totally unbalanced battle , you shouldn't have used more than 3 elites
Firefight generally gets harder as it progresses. So it sorta makes sense. Can't have them winning all the time.
