So when someone purchases a domain name, do they really want to also get the DNS option from the domain provider?
It is not mandatory to have your DNS hosted where your domain is registered. However it would be best for both services to be in one company for easier access and you'll only have to contact one support for assistance and you'll only have to access one account to manage both.
CC has complimentary Domain registration and DNS hosting so if they have it with us, it even easier since we manage the emails as well.

It's fine, but it's also common for DNS records to be held and /or managed in cPanel of with webhosting as well. Not to mention with services such as cloud-flair and/ or other DNS services. And so I'd say this information is quite stale in this day and age.
