Your Nurse Margaret videos were the first ones I stumbled across, and while she’s still my favorite, I wanted to say: this little Pride Month series means a lot. As an intersex person who also identifies as nonbinary, I’m truly grateful to se ASMRtists supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community when attacks on queer rights in the US worldwide are on the rise. Back to Margaret, though, and the fact that you play characters of different genders and presentations-I feel like that’s one of the reasons I was partial to your work in the first place. Even before I ever heard you explicitly say “I support your community,” you were a great example just in the way you created such a wide range of characters with identities different from your own. I’m just over 40 now, and I did have a tough time growing up. My inner teenager appreciates the message.

I just wanna say how thankful I am for you ER, I’ve been with this channel since around 2014, and you help me more than you could ever know. The amount of gender dysphoria I’ve had the past year has been hell, dark times, but your videos are something that kept me going. Your last video on painting the flag was awesome, but I couldn’t help but notice some comments, I wasn’t surprised because it’s something I and other lgbtq people have always dealt with, the terrible comments against us, the war of politics, when I don’t want anything to do with that, I just wanna live in peace. I’m not a political point, I’m just a type of human like everyone else. Anyway, many of the comments were awful and I’m sorry you had that under your video, and I know that the same will happen here on this video. It’s sad that people that have been here with us on this channel for so long leave because you make a video supporting others. But you just keep being you, and don’t let hateful people ruin love. Thank you so much for providing a sense of serenity, security, and love over all these years. I've known since the ASMR Face Sketch video that ER was an ally to the community, but it's still really reassuring, especially due to recent political events, that he's making a few positive videos showing his support. I think it's very kind that even though he isn't keyed into all of the 'correct' words, like how most people say cishet for cisgender heterosexuals, he still communicates effectively and doesn't make the videos about himself. It such a simple action but I'm happy he's trying anyway, and I'm looking forward to the next flag painting video.
I hope that this is truly the mindset most have, I can't say that it feels that way currently (in the southern US anyway), but it's nice to think about most people at least being neutral and genuinely seeing us no different to anyone else. Thank you for this video, it's really nice to listen to after dealing with stress of heightened bigotry (at least where I live) and sorta cleanse my mind from hopelessness.
I’m trans and when I came out, my uncle told my mother when I wasn’t ready. He invaded my privacy and didn’t think about the effects it would have my my relationship with my family. I still remember the betrayal of that moment, but I have an amazing friend group that support me and help me through the pain of not being comfortable in my skin. They give me comfort and a helping hand. I respect Ephemeral for expressing how he feels and showing us that he supports us in the LGBTQ+ community and also dislikes the people who show hatred towards us. We need more people like him to enlighten the world and show them that we are no different. The only difference is that we identify differently or show attraction to the same gender, etc.

I had my troubles last year when i decided to come out, my mother didn't take it well but for her own selfish reasons unfortunately. things have improved since, but your channel has always been there to distract me especially during that time. I love this month I’m heterosexual, but I love the implication of a month where we celebrate that we all like and enjoy different things And I love how so many LGBTIQ+ people can nowadays be more free than before I hope eventually we’ll get to a point where people don’t follow like a herd and analyze that there’s no reason to hate someone that isn’t hurting anybody and is just developing their identity
LGBTIQ+ simply is a thing given reason, I don’t have to join it, yet I know already what happens if I do obviously. The reason people like you have to write this stuff is due to the simple reason of fact, facts will be avoided if the facts are true, because obviously it means something for others to ultimately disagree or to show their facts opinionated, that can be a reason why a individual could say they are with The LGBT Movement because of how their views are affected or tuned by its facts, but a Homosexual person or of those categories is the one step above it all because even if someone mocks them for it, they don’t try to make a dent since apparently they those people are ridiculous so none is made.
FTM for me. Just started T a little more than 3 months ago! My immediate fam is pretty cool, but the extended is iffy at best, dangerous at worst. I’ll take all the supportive family members I can get!
As a transgender guy, I'm relieved you brought up hesitancy around transitioning. It's easy to get swept up in the idea that you should support your kids no matter what, but that kind of blinkered view can't be applied to something as drastic, life-altering, and frankly irreversible as changing gender. You show more love for your kids by being concerned, and going through the proper processes before supporting any intervention. Yes, it was deeply frustrating having to wait for years before I was even considered for hormones, but by the end of it I was absolutely certain it was what I wanted, and I can rest easy knowing I have nothing I regret.
Same here man. Also ftm. I can't believe people are "microdosing" HRT to "try it out" like it's some type of toy. Or taking a low dose thinking it will have less changes. I really wish people would look into the stories of ftmtf detransitioners. They truly are (mostly) nice and supportive women. They just hate being ostracized from the LGBT community for being detrans. But their stories are vital. We need to share their stories to prevent from what I believe is going to be a massive wave of detransitioners soon. Too many people are rushing in, being given HRT extremely quick, and not properly been to therapy to make sure the reason they want to transition is GD and nothing else.
I like the way you said it. I don't have gender dysphoria myself so I couldn't relate or speak on this matter at all, but it is a bit of a general issue- in that kids as young as 10-12 are discovering these gender/sexuality things and they discover themselves (which is good!) but then they get so caught up in that first identity that they're unwilling to fully explore and see what they're comfortable with. then they end up having an identity crisis or make decisions that they regret (especially physical/relationship ones). I really do wish this was a more common thing to warn people about, since I've seen it happen to a whole lot of friends I've known from young

For future reference, “cis” is pronounced like “sis” rather than “see-eye-ess” and if saying “cis male and cis female” every time is too cumbersome, you can use the term cisgender (which is the opposite of transgender) to include both. But regardless of the pronunciation or phraseology you used, your message was so very appreciated by me and many others.

I'm not a child I'm in my 20s but I struggled with acceptance from family when I came out as trans as a teen. Well I ended up losing both sides of my family who can't even bother to check on me anymore. I still struggle with the lack of father or mother figure in my life and my lost childhood due to depression at a young age. Feeling like I have any parental figure who accepts me makes me feel at least a little bitter with the weight of the world and all it's hate around me. A lot of times I feel like a lost child despite my age because the feelings of abandonment never really go away. Still hurts the same like any human would

This is my second year living under a name I can't tell my parents, so pride month is hitting hard. To have one of my favorite ASMRtists show support for the community, not only as a person but as a parent, was the greatest start of the month I could have possibly hoped for. For 50 minutes and 53 seconds, I got a chance to feel like I could be loved as a son instead of as a daughter. You've made me feel more comfortable being who I am than the people who made me, and that means the world to me and everyone else watching this who has gone through the same thing. I'm trans, but I don't understand the obsession with reclaiming the slur queer and using it as an "umbrella term" for the community. That would be like the neurodivergent community saying that they are "the retarded community." And referring to themselves as retarded the same way people refer to themselves as queer. Just... why?

Allot of people coming in here thinking this is political and whatnot. Its not. It's just rift being an accepting individual and we could use more of that these days. At no point does he support the more bleak side of the movement (If it can even be called part of the movement.) This is about trusting you to be you, which is a parenting technique that way more kids need to grow up with. Your Nurse Margaret videos were the first ones I stumbled across, and while she’s still my favorite, I wanted to say: this little Pride Month series means a lot. As an intersex person who also identifies as nonbinary, I’m truly grateful to se ASMRtists supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community when attacks on queer rights in the US worldwide are on the rise. Back to Margaret, though, and the fact that you play characters of different genders and presentations-I feel like that’s one of the reasons I was partial to your work in the first place. Even before I ever heard you explicitly say “I support your community,” you were a great example just in the way you created such a wide range of characters with identities different from your own. I’m just over 40 now, and I did have a tough time growing up. My inner teenager appreciates the message.
You’re the first ASMRist I’ve ever encountered as I came across your channel 5 years ago and seeing how much you care about everyone regardless of who they are it makes me feel very fortunate that I found you before anyone else. You’re literally my #1 go to channel for ASMR. :)

I just wanna say how thankful I am for you ER, I’ve been with this channel since around 2014, and you help me more than you could ever know. The amount of gender dysphoria I’ve had the past year has been hell, dark times, but your videos are something that kept me going.
Your last video on painting the flag was awesome, but I couldn’t help but notice some comments, I wasn’t surprised because it’s something I and other lgbtq people have always dealt with, the terrible comments against us, the war of politics, when I don’t want anything to do with that, I just wanna live in peace. I’m not a political point, I’m just a type of human like everyone else.

I've known since the ASMR Face Sketch video that ER was an ally to the community, but it's still really reassuring, especially due to recent political events, that he's making a few positive videos showing his support. I think it's very kind that even though he isn't keyed into all of the 'correct' words, like how most people say cishet for cisgender heterosexuals, he still communicates effectively and doesn't make the videos about himself. It such a simple action but I'm happy he's trying anyway, and I'm looking forward to the next flag painting video.
I hope that this is truly the mindset most have, I can't say that it feels that way currently (in the southern US anyway), but it's nice to think about most people at least being neutral and genuinely seeing us no different to anyone else.

I’m trans and when I came out, my uncle told my mother when I wasn’t ready. He invaded my privacy and didn’t think about the effects it would have my my relationship with my family. I still remember the betrayal of that moment, but I have an amazing friend group that support me and help me through the pain of not being comfortable in my skin. They give me comfort and a helping hand. I respect Ephemeral for expressing how he feels and showing us that he supports us in the LGBTQ+ community and also dislikes the people who show hatred towards us. We need more people like him to enlighten the world and show them that we are no different. The only difference is that we identify differently or show attraction to the same gender, etc.

LGBTIQ+ simply is a thing given reason, I don’t have to join it, yet I know already what happens if I do obviously. The reason people like you have to write this stuff is due to the simple reason of fact, facts will be avoided if the facts are true, because obviously it means something for others to ultimately disagree or to show their facts opinionated, that can be a reason why a individual could say they are with The LGBT Movement because of how their views are affected or tuned by its facts, but a Homosexual person or of those categories is the one step above it all because even if someone mocks them for it, they don’t try to make a dent since apparently they those people are ridiculous so none is made.

As a transgender guy, I'm relieved you brought up hesitancy around transitioning. It's easy to get swept up in the idea that you should support your kids no matter what, but that kind of blinkered view can't be applied to something as drastic, life-altering, and frankly irreversible as changing gender. You show more love for your kids by being concerned, and going through the proper processes before supporting any intervention. Yes, it was deeply frustrating having to wait for years before I was even considered for hormones, but by the end of it I was absolutely certain it was what I wanted, and I can rest easy knowing I have nothing I regret.
Same here man. Also ftm. I can't believe people are "microdosing" HRT to "try it out" like it's some type of toy. Or taking a low dose thinking it will have less changes. I really wish people would look into the stories of ftmtf detransitioners. They truly are (mostly) nice and supportive women. They just hate being ostracized from the LGBT community for being detrans. But their stories are vital. We need to share their stories to prevent from what I believe is going to be a massive wave of detransitioners soon. Too many people are rushing in, being given HRT extremely quick, and not properly been to therapy to make sure the reason they want to transition is GD and nothing else.
I like the way you said it. I don't have gender dysphoria myself so I couldn't relate or speak on this matter at all, but it is a bit of a general issue- in that kids as young as 10-12 are discovering these gender/sexuality things and they discover themselves (which is good!) but then they get so caught up in that first identity that they're unwilling to fully explore and see what they're comfortable with. then they end up having an identity crisis or make decisions that they regret (especially physical/relationship ones). I really do wish this was a more common thing to warn people about, since I've seen it happen to a whole lot of friends I've known from young

For future reference, “cis” is pronounced like “sis” rather than “see-eye-ess” and if saying “cis male and cis female” every time is too cumbersome, you can use the term cisgender (which is the opposite of transgender) to include both. But regardless of the pronunciation or phraseology you used, your message was so very appreciated by me and many others.

I'm not a child I'm in my 20s but I struggled with acceptance from family when I came out as trans as a teen. Well I ended up losing both sides of my family who can't even bother to check on me anymore. I still struggle with the lack of father or mother figure in my life and my lost childhood due to depression at a young age. Feeling like I have any parental figure who accepts me makes me feel at least a little bitter with the weight of the world and all it's hate around me. A lot of times I feel like a lost child despite my age because the feelings of abandonment never really go away. Still hurts the same like any human would

To have one of my favorite ASMRtists show support for the community, not only as a person but as a parent, was the greatest start of the month I could have possibly hoped for. For 50 minutes and 53 seconds, I got a chance to feel like I could be loved as a son instead of as a daughter. You've made me feel more comfortable being who I am than the people who made me, and that means the world to me and everyone else watching this who has gone through the same thing. Im a trans girl and my partner is nonbinary, it's so comforting to have someone who is supportive and somewhat of a father figure, especially since my parents are not supportive of LGBTQ+ people, thank you for being the good guy that a lot of queer people need
I'm trans, but I don't understand the obsession with reclaiming the slur queer and using it as an "umbrella term" for the community. That would be like the neurodivergent community saying that they are "the retarded community." And referring to themselves as retarded the same way people refer to themselves as queer. Just... why?
@@ArthurDavidConner well queer is a good word for the whole community, the LGBT+ acronym works, but it is a little clunky to say, for your point about the r word, it is still used as an insult, most people with mental disabilities don't use those words, but queer is used by a good amount of the LGBT+ community

Older members of the community find it ironic that the younger members who want queer to be an "umbrella term," the vast majority of them never faced the word queer in a bad way in their personal life. How can thr younger members say what the community is called when the people who built it are against it being called queer?
@@ArthurDavidConner I was not trying to say it is never used as an insult, I was simply saying that it is not ALWAYS an insult, also retaking an offensive word makes it lose its power over the people who it offends or hurts, so a more common usage of queer can help destigmatize and take away the harmful power of the word, which is a major reason for slurs getting reclaimed, although I understand that the word was used to hurt you, and that is not ok, but that is certainly not the intention of the people trying to reclaim the word

Allot of people coming in here thinking this is political and whatnot. Its not. It's just rift being an accepting individual and we could use more of that these days. At no point does he support the more bleak side of the movement (If it can even be called part of the movement.) This is about trusting you to be you, which is a parenting technique that way more kids need to grow up with. It's a straight up positive message and anyone freaking out in the comments needs to stop making hate their entire lens. We only get to live on this earth once.
