midwest emo is a sadder pop punk, I think so. Differences in music can be looked for for a very long time, but the main difference is in mood

Dude these are my favorite genres as well. I really badly wanna get a sound like yours I use a line six V30 spider amp. Kind of hard to get it with one of those.

@@whisperr2522 You can get ones for pretty cheap. I mean the one I have was $200 and that is a lot yes but for this amp I feel like it's less then it should be. This amp is just amazing.

There is an alternate universe where the Emo in this video is labeled Pop Punk and the Pop Punk is labeled Emo. Ah, who am I kidding, there's another person's TH-cam video where the labels are reversed. 😂 These genres have more overlap than grass blades in my front lawn.
At least, in practical use of the terms, they do. Sure, it's nice to make them specific, but we all know we've called a few things Emo that didn't have clean jangly guitar riffs and few things pop punk that didn't have distortion guitar. I like to make neat drawers for every style in my head, too, but I'll still keep calling Senses Fail Emo and Pop Punk interchangeably. :)
Best pop punk stuff has those midwest emo melodies sprinkled on top tho. Anyway very much awesome stuff!

Do the whole album lol but for real apart from Leaving Songs and Bobby posi talk all of the other songs are easy to play by ear + his tutorials are a big help! Because he's there and he hates me is the easier one, but the tempo is quite hard haha

What are you talking about? Everybody knows “the emo trinity” is just some bullshit high school girls made up in 2011. None of those bands are emo
They're emo because they sounded a lot like Saves The Day in the beginning (and later got a lot more poppy, though most remember them for their emo pop stuff), as for the "trinity" that was just a made up term by the mainstream emo fans, and the only qualifier for being in the emo trinity was being insanely popular.
@@Realoemo Wrong. My Chemical Romance were pretty freaking emo when they started out. They were like a mix of Saves The Day and Thursday. They got more pop punky/pop rocky as time went on, but emo pop is a subgenre for a reason. Panic! were emo pop as well, and Fall Out Boy were too. It was a dumb term (the trinity), but teens are gonna do what teens are gonna do and you shouldn't gatekeep them from the community for simply enjoying the most accessible bands.
