It is one of the correct names, it looks like it had a different name each time it was printed, 221B Baker Street, 221B Baker Street: The Master Detective Game, 221B Baker Street: Sherlock Holmes' Master Detective Game, 221B Baker Street: The Sherlock Holmes Master Detective Game Scotland Yard, and 221B Baker St.: Sherlock Holmes & the Time Machine. That last one looks kind of funny, it looks like it was put out to piggy back off the 1996 Doctor Who movie and includes "all-new, all-true" mysteries such as the the Zodiac Killer, JFK's assassination, Jimmy Hoffa's disappearance, and Elvis's death.
Paul being on Back in the Box just makes me think of every Boxnard crapshot ever made with him constantly saying "Box" and "Open", which now just makes me want to see a Boxnard shot where he opens a board game just for the box
I also own this game, but a newer version in a taller black box which I bought at 221B Baker Street in London. It’s quite enjoyable to play but the cases can be a bit hard to solve, especially if English is not your native language.
Yeah I only noticed because I was curious if I could find a new name on the credits. With all the new content they’re doing, I was curious if/when someone new would pop up. I’m loving their twist on unboxing videos.
I purchased this game in 1989 at my first year at university aged 19. I still have it now and play with my great nephews and nieces. It remains the single best boardgame I have ever owned. I’m quite shocked that you didn’t at least attempt to play it, it is fantastic””Op
My copy of this is a very different box, it’s tall (at least in comparison) and brown, and the board is a little different so I guess I have a newer version. But I got it in an a raffle years ago and it had all of the extra mysteries included.
I played this in the 80s. It's a pretty decent detective game and the clues generally make sense (going to the newsagents points you to clues in the news, the Carriage Depot give you clues about where people have been and so on).
Despite not having played a tabletop game in years, I find things like this super satisfying. Also I just enjoy the LRRFolks doing nearly anything, so that helps too.
221B BAKER STREET -is the name of the game . The (Sherlock Holmes) Master Detective Game -is the game description. just like CLUEDO, The Classic Detective Game RISK, The Game of Global Domination DIPLOMACY, The Game of International Intrugue LIONHEART, The Game of Medieval Warfare BATTLESHIP, The Tactical Combat Game
I know this game! I don't think we ever played it much and it may well have been consumed by gremlins in some move or another, but I remember this box quite fondly. I don't believe the rubber band y'all found was standard, our copy also featured one but of a very different, cheaper variety, such as might have been purchased by a working actor in the late 1980s. I'm definitely interested in seeing you play this one, if only for nostalgia's sake.
That version of London sure is like the Doctor Strange mirror universe thing because the version I have of this board game is in full color and not different shades of red.
FWIW, none of the adventures in this version of the game are part of, or mentioned in, the A.C. Doyle "Sherlock Holmes" oeuvre. What you kids may have gotten up to since 1916 or so is beyond me. Also, get out of my front garden.
A DELUXE EDITION of this game with 200 Cases was released in 2016. Original released in U.S. in 1975 (20 Cases). Created by Jay Moriarty Over 3 million sold worldwide Translated into Portuguese & Romanian
For anyone curious, apparently it was released in 1975 (and the name in the video title is the correct one).

God after hearing this case names I cant wait to see them play it. Here is hoping Thrift Store AFK really does become more then an annual thing
“Local game stockist” is quite the nomenclature.
Holy shit it’s BoxNard529
And you got him to do a face revel

My family has a copy of the newer version as well. A lot of the clues rely on your ability to interpret things properly.
The box looks like the wrapper on an old bar of chocolate or an old fashioned cigarette box.
Whoops, the end card didn't get updated. "Featuring Beej and Ben."
Loving this chill little series, some interesting finds so far as well!

woops thats on me! Good catch! - Ben

I have to admit I didn't think much of this series when it first started, but it's really grown on me.

Just in case you LRRpeeps missed it, the main camera seems to be either slightly out of focus or running at a lower resolution.
This game is a favorite of myself and my husband. We bought more cases for it.
I have no idea why I like this show so much, but it's part of my must watch rotation now.
It's very weird to see this game in THAT art and size. And it has 9 case expansions!

just like
CLUEDO, The Classic Detective Game
RISK, The Game of Global Domination
DIPLOMACY, The Game of International Intrugue
LIONHEART, The Game of Medieval Warfare
BATTLESHIP, The Tactical Combat Game
I had this game as a kid and completely forgot about it. Loved this episode!

This game is so delightfully a product of its time: where graphic design was a question of fitting things.
Not going to lie, I dig the aesthetic of mid-late 20th centurty board games.
That version of London sure is like the Doctor Strange mirror universe thing because the version I have of this board game is in full color and not different shades of red.
best anorak content this side of the ocean
That stack of cases seems like a very good number for the kind of game where they might get spoiled
The game looks great and so does Paul's beard.
Reminds me of the "Elementary Watson" board/roleplaying game
I think Lord Hosk is your game stockist.
Engagement for the engagement god!
Also Paul sounds like Roger Bagley
omg did yall get boxnard on for a special episode?
Kinda want to see you play this
Ending credits show Beej and Ben instead of Ian and Paul.
Great episode again though!

The adventure of the repeated comment!
