@bob boo MashaaAllah, if you have memorised it, but surah Mulk is way easier, to be honest.
Yea you're right Subhan Allah. The first bunch of verses always get confusing for me. But repetition is the best thing to memorise it properly. Like you said Al-Mulk is easier maybe because we repeat it every night.

When ustadh was painting that picture of valuable possessions being left behind as no one wants them anymore my first thought was, "ooh like in those apocalyptic movies" but I was like nah that's haram (ustadh's reference) but he brought it up anyway. I just love ustadh. I wanna be his student in real life as well. Theres so much to learn from him.

This is the trickiest surah 😇😌
It's actually one of the most terrifying and scary surahs in the Quran.
Shaikh Bassam Jarar has interpreted Ishar as a relation so عشار عطلت
Mean no more relationship in that day.
Which may fit the context.

Well indeed what a Day ..This judgement . Sadly if it was me in charge of Judgements I ...not holy enough but with an understanding of good , and kind and understanding and 77 year old mother and grandmother,teacher wisdom , I would be somewhat aghast when faced with Muslims . What would I judge on a person who agreed on killing people okay ,in various ways . Polygamy and hitting , an affront to women,,surah 4 v34 .,,Inequality concerning personal potential and children custody . Barbaric stoning and cutting off limbs of my dear souls .Causing excruciating pain for nothing to little girls by cutting their vagina parts .A left over of sewing the vagina of slave girls to keep them worth more and or African rite of barbaric passage and taking away any pleasure feeling .Take your pick.. . Well now .Do you thing the odd good deed would absolve you all from such atrocities . You would be lucky to have me defend you . They Know Not What They Do .....said Jesus ....as they nailed him to a cross . I follow the no killing no violence , 1 man 1 wife All equal ,love everyone ,forgive , no lying ,no cheating , servant of all ,no circumcision ,no killing animals as sacrifice for your sin ,etc Jesus....a Christian you are told not to be friends with .surah 3 v 28 .

Thank you. I didn't quite understand the comparison of the woman with a camel and why no makeup or jewellery makes her seem as if she doesn't care for herself. Is the idea that a woman is an investment for a man and that he needs to be careful with whom he marries because she might no longer care for herself or that he needs to care for her as she needs to raise their child?
No ! Don’t think it like this cause technically men are also investment for women . U can’t be lazy and fat and not work and need to protect wife and kids always . He has duties to his wife and kids and must fulfill them and religious duties as well like

No, the point was that whilst women normally care so much for their appearance, the pain and stress of pregnancy leaves them careless about everything else. On judgement day the case would be the same, what we normally value and worry over will be insignificant to that great event. We will forget everything else.
