A band director in Houston took private lessons...he went to see Kirk AFTER the stroke and he told me that he did OT realize he was playing ONE HANDED...pretty amazing human being and not too shabby on his axes, either...his BEST album...maybe "The Inflated Tear," but he was so fantastic...LOL
Amazing, totally talented, a pure genius of a man the Master of the Universe has blessed us with. Roland Kirk inspires me and has helped me be a better jazz musician. Many of us, with all our health and senses, will be never near the humaness of this man. God bless.
If I could put together a super Jazz Rock Fusion group I would have Kirk sting Stevie Wonder and perhaps Buddy Rich or Ginger Baker on drums. I would name the group Ego. Maju I don't work for a Music Company and probably shouldn't!
What a wonderful performance from one of the greats.

Lowell Thomas, Jr. My fave album is Kirkatron with a similar but even better version of this song.

One of Kirk's original drummers, Robert Shy (Chicago), was as good as they come.
Lol keep Buddy Rich away from any of those guys. What a narcissist
Could anybody please be so kind to help with musicians credits please?
Ron Burton - piano, Henry "Pete" Pearson - bass , Robert Shy - drums, Joe Habao Texidor - percussion.
