    You can also combine all of this with the native Push 2 "User Mode" (which you mention that you don't use but give it a go, super powerful as well once explored fully), which adds yet another layer of customization.

    I like the video but I really think you should have used some more creative ways to demonstrate what these apps can do. It's hard for me to imagine all the things this functionality unlocks when I'm watching someone map a feature that already has a physical toggle button 100% of the time.

      Noted! I'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos. out of the hacks I shared in this video... is there one in particular you'd like me to go deeper on?

      Id watch every video of you demonstrating advanced automations using all of the software in this video

      Yeah not really impressed. What would impress me is if the push 2 Had Chord mode like the machine and an ARP

    • @peen2804
      @peen2804 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AcidTechnoMan5000 it’s a controller for ableton and ableton has those features built in lol. if you want an arp… put an arpeggiator on the track… want chords put the chord device on a track all of which can obviously be done in 2 seconds on the push 2 as its a, say it with me, ableton controller

    not being able to toggle metronome on and off was pissing me off so badly on push 1 and was one of the things that made me to sell it. baller

    Alex, that was great! Very tempted by Pushhacker and Ethel clip automation you demonstrated for the live set I’m building.

    You are the king and have learned the most about the Push 2 from you! THANK YOU!!!!
    I wonder if you could answer a question for me. You know of a convenient way to close the chain mixer fold button on a drum rack? It always takes a few steps to get minimize it.

      @metamindmusicofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words, thrilled I was able to help! It might be possible to midi map a controller to that toggle... but I'm not entirely sure.

    Thanks for sharing these. I’m definitely interested in Polymath. It reminds me of the Moog Subharmonicon’s sequencers.

    Why is your CPU running so high in the 40's and 50 %'s with nothing going on in the track at first?

    Great video! Just a question: why the metronome toggle issue? There’s a metronome button on the push 2 that I use all the time.

    • @metamindmusicofficial
      @metamindmusicofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad to help :) Honestly, I only used the metronome as a quick example of how you could use CLYPH X. That's only scratching the surface of what's possible.
      One use case could be if you only wanted to automatically activate the metronome during a specific scene/part of your song to play along to instead of having to manually activate it while live.

  • @johncitizen8828
    @johncitizen8828 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Um, Push already has a dedicated metronome button. What is the point of this? Perhaps you could have should a more useful example.

    Hi , is there any way of personalise the colors of the pads on note mode? I want to color code them all, like Red for C Orange for D, etc...

    i wish the push haker would be a standalone app so i could you all the features the push can do in studio one...

  • @fireberg2349

    Do you know any way to tell the Push 2 that volumes for tracks should have a max of 0db? Like a remote script or option.txt function or something? I know how to map ranges inside Ableton, but anytime I add a track with the Push, it will be maxing at 6db again...

  •  ปีที่แล้ว

    can i use this for push 1?

    CPU was flying high through this demo; is this common when using clyphx? any other reason driving the high cpu?

    • @metamindmusicofficial
      @metamindmusicofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it may have been all the other programs (obs, video editor) I was running that maxed out cpu.

    I miss a little bit more cool examples in this video. I think the device is cool but it's too theoretical, I cannot imagine how I use that in a real situation.

      Gotcha, was there any tool in particular you wanted to see more examples of?

  • @danielandersson7515

    I would like to have a "split layout" between note and session mode. Top half of the grid is session view, bottom half note view, so I can play a synth and launch clips at the same time. Can this be done with Push Hacker 2? Or does anyone know if there's another way?

    • @metamindmusicofficial
      @metamindmusicofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could manage a way to do this by custom mapping specific pads to trigger specific clip slots on push 2. I personally just use the push 2 + APC 40 together

    • @danielandersson7515
      @danielandersson7515 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@metamindmusicofficial Yeah, I figured that too. Set it to Note mode, and then midi-map the notes on the top rows to trigger clip slots. (And also use some midi effect to stop those midi notes from also going to the synth/instrument I guess.) But then I won't get any of the the session view visual feedback from the pads. And that can't be fixed with Push Hacker 2 either, right?
      Can't believe Ableton hasn't implemented a feature like that yet. Seems to me like something very many users would request. I have an old Novation Launchpad, guess I'm gonna have to keep that one in service then...
