It is awesome there, so easy for kayak launching and comfortable fishing out there. Wish it was closer haha we got to drive all the way from the other side of Melbourne.
Very nice guy's. I'm a local Portlanite and really look forward to the next few weeks as we tend to get better weather and a lot of thevisiting boats are gone. Hobie will be on the water tomorrow! If your back and its blowing W or SW check out Ladybird beach (Pivot beach), great spot to launch and get out to Lawrence Rock
@@GetnNibz damn unlucky, I went out with dad in his boat yesterday. We got a couple trolling in front of active mutton birds down at coal point. Keep at it and you'll get some 👌🤙
We don't have many full setup rods for them. Main one is just our gummy and snapper rods really. It's a Saltist Comp X but can only get it at Get Wet Outdoors in Traralgon and then a real 6000 size or higher either Daiwa Saltist or BG. Can go more expensive if you want but they do the job. We have got a more stick bait setup but find that it is actually hard to cast in kayak since sitting down rather than standing on a boat. Also used jigging rods which still do well in kayak since they are short. Think one was caught on the old Daiwa Saltist Hyper PE2-4 and only a 4000 sized reel haha
