    I got a Gazelle and love it. Easy set up. You can stand inside it. It’s walls are almost straight up so it is very roomy. If its really windy you need to stake down the 4 sides. The design lets the breeze through. The pockets and Velcro bottom are awesome.

    • @divedeep04
      @divedeep04 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wind does not pull down the side wall because it seems too tall for a windy day

    I have a Gazelle T3 (slightly smaller version of the T4 shown here) and I can tell you it's an awesome tent. Sturdy, well made, easy to setup, and designed by someone with years of experience. As a Florida camper I was very impressed with the cross breezes this tent created with the smart layout of the windows and the tight mesh screen that kept even the no-see-ums out. The velcro attached floor is a Godsend when it comes to cleaning out the debris you track in and the vented ceiling with a rain fly kept the condensation outside the tent where it flowed down the rail fly to drip to the ground. We saw several nights of high winds during a rain and thunder storm with no ill effect. No leaks and no failures of the wall hubs from the outside wind gusts. It's easy to see why this tent is so popular with Overlanders.

      I just bought the Gazelle T4. I unboxed it but haven't popped it up yet. I'll say this....the quality of the fabric, zippers and grommets is outstanding...I'm blown away!

    • @beekind466
      @beekind466 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pamzitel9501 $420 through the Walmart app. I ordered it this past Fri at 4pm. It arrived Sat at noon. I was shocked as it shipped from Nebraska and I did not overnight it. It had a "HOT" sticker on the box.🤷‍♀️
      I've since popped it up and omg...
      It's the most incredibly well-made, functional tent I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of tents. I get a new one every year just because they're fun to try out. But no more. I'm 62 years young. I just bought all new gear that works for me. I leave next week for 2 weeks in the woods. I expect this tent will handle almost anything Mother Nature brings. The stakes...holy codfish...you could easily and effectively impale a vampire with one. The airflow is amazing. Every window has a gutter sewn around it. I did gently stretch the fabric and zippers around the curve of the doors so the zippers weren't stressed.
      The rain fly is perfect for keeping out the elements while keeping the windows open.
      I'll be modifying one window for a small window AC unit. Grandma doesn't sweat...lol.
      Love it. Can't say enough about it.
      Treat yourself. 🌻❤

      61 sq ft is equal for a square tent to about 7.81ft x 7.81ft. So this tent is about 2-1/4 inches short of 8 feet on each side.

    A pop up tent it's a good option only if you're lazy. Traditional tents are much better in term of protection from the elements.

      As the owner of a Gazelle T3 I can tell you that while I used to share your opinion of Pop Up Tents, you will change your mind after using a Gazelle. Mine is sturdier than nearly every "traditional" tent I have used. My drunk friend fell into the side of my tent and since it was staked down, it took the full force of his fall. The wall hub on that side collapsed in under his weight. Once I extracted him from my tent, all I had to do was to pull the hub back out again to set the wall. If that had been a traditional tent, he would have likely ripped the tent and broken poles. It takes a significant amount of force to set the hub system in the walls/roof and takes a significant amount of force to collapse them as well (he is 6'1" and 245). Check out a Gazelle, I would be surprised if you went into it with an open mind and didn't come out with a different impression of their tent designs. It's by far the best money I have spent on a tent in years.

      while i have reservations about any tent lacking a full fly cover, bathtub bottom, YKK zippers and sealed seams, i feel that ur sharp characterization of those that use pop up tents was ill considered and unfair. different people have different needs. for instance a person with a bad heart or impaired lungs may have difficulty with a traditional tent. when i went camping with six kids they all had their own tent; small popups would have been a blessing. please be more considerate in ur use of language and of other campers.
