I recognized a lot of Things that are also to find in our Supermarkts oder here or that are even origined from germany..
I understand why you like to go to supermarkets its always nice to try some New stuff and explore the aisels 🤣 but fruits and veggies are mostly better to buy at local markets

This video is very helpful and encouraging for a person like me who is planning on moving to Nigeria from Canada (I'm not Nigerian either, my husband is) so seeing things like this help me get an idea of what I can find and take note of where to find them. Keep up the supermarket videos Yemisi it's very helpful.

Makes me homesick!! Thanks for showing this and it is amazing to see how much Lagos has changed. Haven’t been home for 20 years lol. This isn’t because I don’t want to go but because of health reasons I can’t fly. Loved the video but made me sad. The range of food is amazing - I wish London Nigerian shops could provide us with such a wide range but in the mean time I will try and follow some of your recipes with the limited choice we have here.

Your simplicity and humility is what I love the most about you. And I can't thank you enough for these great contents especially when you do videos that shows lagos and its beauty. We in the diaspora see this and it makes us feel good just seeing our beloved beautiful country. I personally love the local market videos. Lol. It reminds me alot about my favorite ajah market. Lol. Love it even after a decade of shopping there.

Also, dashing around Lagos for content creation is superhero behavior! 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Well done mama! Permission to use bits of the video on my Instagram page. I hope that’s okay? Thank you again. God bless you! 💜💜💜

I opened my mouth wide with the price tag on the mixed pepper. That's 99pence in some grocery stores in UK and can get it 7 pieces for £1 in Asian store. Things are damn expensive in Nigeria, last time we traveled to Nigeria, buying groceries was like shopping for gold .

Price of bell peppers fluctuate. I just bought red bell pepper at $4/pound a couple days ago and some tasteless tomatoes. In a few months, the price will be much lower. They had green bell peppers for 50¢ each, but i was not planning on making ayamase.

It's a process for them, that are trying their best considering most of them are short staffed due to what they have to pay their staff unlike in Nigeria where labour is far cheaper. I give kudos to the ones in my city because they all have 5 star Food and Hygiene rating. That's a great accomplishment.
