- In this video I will share my knowledge on the issue of fleet fuel control, and what benefits your company will have with this management.
At times when fuel prices continue to grow, attention to fuel consumption of the vehicle should be doubled.
In order to reduce this consumption, the minimum that the company must do is the management of fuel expenses.
Management of Fuel Expenses:
First of all, you need to have some control of the fuel costs of your fleet, always keeping a monthly consumption history.
A simple way to manage your expenses is to use our fleet control sheet, with which you can conclude:
Average fuel consumption (km / l) per vehicle;
Total monthly cost of fuel (R $);
Total quantity (liters) consumed monthly;
Who supplied, on what day and what value.
This information makes it possible to take and analyze assertive actions to reduce fuel consumption.
These differences may have different reasons for each case, but from our experience, there are factors that will always be present and that should have their attention:
Driver behavior:
Driver behavior is undoubtedly the main factor that causes higher fuel consumption.
The American portal AutoEdmunds, in testing various fuel economy techniques, found that driver behavior accounts for up to 37% of fuel consumption.
This is due to speeding, improper use of gears, stopped car with the engine running, braking and accelerating abruptly.
So if the goal is to reduce fuel consumption, it is necessary to raise the awareness of drivers.
Tire Control and Wheel Alignment:
Tires play a crucial role in fuel consumption.
More precisely, what influences this consumption is the rolling resistance of the tire. The lower the resistance, the better!
Therefore, your driver must pay attention to the calibration of the tires with the pressure recommended by the manufacturer, and this must be done every 15 days.
If you run a lot on poorly maintained roads, calibration should be done weekly.
Tires with pressure 10% below that recommended by the manufacturer, consume 6% to 10% more fuel than a vehicle with calibrated tires.
Like unbalanced tires, a misaligned wheel also causes high rolling resistance, resulting in increased fuel consumption.
Preventive maintenance:
Often, the company has a maintenance plan, but in the day to day running does not execute the planned.
It turns out that a vehicle without preventive maintenance, besides increasing the corrective maintenance, consumes more fuel than normal.
Therefore, always have a discipline in fulfilling fleet maintenance planning.

Esse custo entra para a viagem anterior, pois é o valor referente a viagem feita pelo motorista anterior.
