Been here since the beginning, thank god the gaming landscape has given you things to talk about other than Overwatch’s attempts to never tell a story.
Thanks for sticking around this long firstly Zxy! Honestly - I still enjoy Overwatch lore/story, but have always wanted to make videos on more lore/story, and indeed things than that field too! Just been life, and also finding the right way to do it - here, another channel, etc...This week will see a VALORANT and a review video of Star Wars Outlaws potentially before we're done, so honestly it's the most experimental I've been in years! Appreciate that won't be for everyone, but will check in with y'all after and see how it's working/where to put things in future. Many lore/story worlds would like to cover, and I can actually share a lot of content on other non-lore, gaming things I enjoy too. Will work it out - let me know what works!
the setting/lore of this game is something i really loved watching/reading. hopefully they make a full comic on this PS: ur voice actually matches the games vibes, so cool
It's a very cool setting! Good omens, supernatural steam punk ish with Film Noir as well...lots of stuff. There's a visual novel they were working on that got leaked, so they have big plans! Glad you enjoyed haha, dunno if voice matches but will take it!
it's very different to the usual right now - which will be loved by some and not by others, find it fun personally! The world is awesome - lore video incoming next week :)
Its a good game with interesting concept. I love how you acutally play the same character differently by buying items and upgrading different abilities like a Moba game. Knowing its Valve, the game can atleast be good. I dont expect too much from this. But can still easily be top 20 on steam with the 6 players party. Because alot of games today have less party members
It's honestly a great mix of mobas and shooters - I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, scratches an itch for me though! Early days, early development, let's see how it goes. But hey - we can play for free and enjoy it right now, so worth a go! I don't think it has to dominate the world. I'd hope it can find a place and make sense for Valve to support :)
i have always wanted to play a game with cyberpunk theme, such good looking buildings like in New York and this very cool looking to me theme, clocks, watch, clockwerks etc., so far we've had only single player soulslike games with such vibes, Valve are definitely hitting that vibe which i was seeking for, on top of that its a MOBA style which i have always loved, i am definitely the target group for this game.
Cheers for watching georg! It's quite an interesting one - given that this has changed from Neon Prime (very future/cyberpunk), into steam punk-y gothic noir. Looking forward to seeing how it develops! Have you played?
@@Hammeh Yeah i did already around like 20 games and the game feels great, its going to be very popular game. The only downfall for me is that the games are like Dota 2, which means they take around 30 to 60 min if both teams are decent, which is not nessecarily bad thing but im already old so i dont have energy for such long games :D Other than that the game is truly unique, Pocket is my favourite one because he plays like Puck in D2.
cheers Jordan, thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed! I think it has something (I enjoy it, anyway) - so hope others will too. No ideas on monetisation etc etc, but probably cosmetics down the line. Valve can be in testing for years, so we'll see! What characters you enjoying most so far?
The visual novels plan has me excited! The Dota visual novels are pretty good and are much better at fleshing out character and detailed lore than the in-game text or even voicelines.
the leaked/mined one looks really nice to be honest. hoping they continue with this plan! i personally really am enjoying Crownfall in DOTA 2 at the mo, that's a format that could work too...
A friend who is in already should be able to invite you! If not, then there are various public lists - check reddit and similar - where, if you leave a friend id, people should be able to invite!
AFAIK from my observation the comback mechanic is simmilar to Dota which killing the enemy, and the unsecured soul is similar to dota aswell. and no matter what, you do need to go together and destroy their buildings.
i actually enjoyed battleborne when it was around - this plays a bit more MOBA than that, but aiming and shooting matters! worth a go if you enjoyed BB i'd say!
Tower need to be stronger and need to focus here who attack heros near it. Instead of a bean they need maybe a secondary attack like a mini missle that targets heros. The "castle" needs better stack. Seems like it has a basic defense but it's garbage and early attacks and doesn't hit hard at all. It should hit harder making having a all out brawl under it makes it a bit laughable. I say instead of a beam a splash damage cannon with decent rate of fire, and maybe a healing aura that shows defend to defend it better would help
You can indeed shred it fast right now when you get there, but getting there in the later game takes a while! That said, I've seen teams roll base in 15
Hopefully they add different patros with different minions and towers, that would add alot of flexibility m marketing it random. Like a patron that towers act like buff and debuff towers or towers that have high defense but terrible attack ect. Lots of room to add allot of stuff to make each game different and fun.
Just not feeling it. I don’t really get MOBAS mind you, but I don’t understand why everyone’s guns have the same rate of fire and range and audio cues….
Sure, get it - may not be everyone's cup of tea! You can actually tweak rate of fire, range and similar with items in Deadlock - 'Bullet' and 'Spirit' stats and things associated with them can be tweaked. It's an early build/in development, so, audio cues etc i'm sure will change over time. Worth a go if you are curious honestly, hey, it's free and in testing...nothing to lose bar an hour or two :)
I guess I’m just more disappointed this is more MOBA than a “true” multiplayer FPS. But have it, I’m sure Valve has the market data to know this’ll likely succeed
Seems like a lot of people talk about it but noone plays it, not a good sign really. Or can someone answer this question: Is it like moba that you boost the "carry" and the supports never gets to buy and fun items or kill stuff or more like heroes of the storm that every kill, no matter who did it, is good for the team?
Don't know about that, every streamer/gamer I watch play this game. xQc, Moxy, Shroud, summit, singsing, Dendi. Even overwatch players like Necros, Stylosa and Flats love it. You could see their streams even here on youtube. The game is not yet out, it is only being on alpha (not even beta). The character designs you see are only placeholders.
Fair few people playing it right now given that it's in alpha and nowhere near being out! You are not a 'support' at all, the way the game plays right now. You have to contribute in lane :)
@@JetBlackRagedota doesnt have other maps for the main game, but they have plenty of map cosmetics(winter, chinese theme, underwater, etc) and weather effects. This game prob will get the same approach to monetization

This is a good video I just feel like this isn't a game I'll be interested in. I'm kind of tired of this very same-y aesthetic that seems to be in every AAA game now, and the mechanics of this just don't really interest me. If I want a hero shooter, I'll play a hero shooter. If I want a Moba, I'll play a moba. Just how you described the "laning" portion of this game makes it seem like it combines the worst parts of two genres. Very informative video, though, thanks for the early look at it.
thanks for watching Ren firstly and you're welcome! completely get it won't be everyone's cup of tea, it does feel there's something there personally! laning doesn't last hugely long, and match pending/game balance pending i could see it being shorter still. lucky if a laning phase is 5-10 minutes. give it a go if you're on the fence, hey, it's free etc. if not - loads of cool games coming up this year!
