I will be highlighting how I grow my Oncidium orchids. You will see different types, the various ways in which I grow them as well as the medium that I grow them in. Hey Nel, you are most welcome 😊. It's good to know that you are now collecting Oncidiums. They do add fullness and texture to the garden. I've recently started growing the tolumnias and I find that I really like them. I have mounted a few of the native ones on a tree and they are doing really well. Yes the Oncidium orchids are truly beautiful and they grow very fast one the conditions are right. Do enjoy them. Happy growing.
Love the video me to is growing oncidiums i have four or five various sharry babies some cheriophorum, jungle monarch a couple of colmanara spacific sunspots some twinkles and a few others i even had one that never stopped flowering it was a small oncidium 6 inches tall golden yellow flowers with chestnut brown marking on the flower there were about twelve flowers you had to mist it regularly when mist had gone of the leaves keep it moist but not waterlogged and feed every other watering and shaded, my dad seen it he wanted it i told him how to care for it, he come back to me two weeks later told me he killed it and binned it and i have never seen another one since and when i got it it was back in 1981 if you ever see it for sale or you have a devision of it can you send it to me please i would be ever so grateful thanks michael xxx ps love your videos you are always cheery and happy.
Hello there Michael, I am so happy you stopped by and love my videos. Yes the oncidium orchids like to be kept moist but not water logged. I'm so sorry you lost that yellow and chestnut brown oncidium. If you have pictures of it I would be better able to assist you in getting it back. @@growingorchidsinjamaica it wasn't that orchid i got one like that called sphacelatum, the one i had was 6 inches tall ish a small orchid liked to be evenly moist but not sitting in water sprayed a few times or morre with tepid water a day and fed ecery other watering and kept in shade no sun at all medium light only it cost me £3.75p back in 1982 ish it was in with some other little orcgids of similar sizes but that one stood out for me from the rest of them i shouldn't have gi3it to my dad.

Hello Sharline, thank you, you are so kind. I'm so sorry you are not getting your Oncidium orchids to bloom. Ensure that they are getting either the morning or the evening sun. Location is key I really don't find them difficult to bloom so perhaps you could also give it some bloom booster fertilizer.
