It's been said twice here, but I think it bares repeating. Jimmy Eat World's album Clarity, issued around 1999, is possibly the greatest album I have ever heard. It is going to be discredited because it's just Jimmy Eat World, right? How could they have the greatest album ever? But it may be true. Everyone should listen to Clarity.
Jimmy Eat World is a very solid band, people who discredit them might not of went through their work. I don't believe Clarity is thee greatest album ever, per say, buy definitely an all time great album, and it's a perfperfect album. Futures is a great album too. They have good songs on all their albums. When it comes to the bands that have made it to mainstream, they're one of the better ones.
i think she's a good fit. jim is awesome with orchestrating his own vocals on the records but for obvious reasons cant pull it off live. her voice complements jim's quite nicely for the higher vocal parts. but to each their own!
@almightyseancore i totally found a copy on a fluke beginning of Spring!!! random stop at a CD Warehouse that made that roadtrip so memorable!!!! OMFG man! Just Watch The Fireworks?? Clarity? Goodbye Sky Harbour?! great album!!!.... i also found a copy of the split EP they did with Jebediah....The Most Beautiful Things!!!! and wtf is all this 'EMO' bullshit about?! quit labeling shit and just listen!
@cringer666 This was back when Jim had just started being more gentle with his voice. In Static Prevails he was kinda screamy (I felt). But for Clarity you can tell he let forth something mighty. So it seems like he needed time to make it second nature and hence was a bit weak live in the 2 or 3 years after Clarity (from Futures onwards he sings much better live, and more powerfully). To be honest, if I had heard Static Prevails first I would have never EVER seen that gifted voice coming at ALL.
Clarity = One of the best albums ever written.

James he didn’t sing on static prevails, it was Tom
Bryan Ringel He sang on Static Prevails, it was split about half and half between Jim and Tom.
