two different speed for long and short ride, amazing sound, nice acceleration and deceleration and re-level for only a few millimeters when door is open at 3:25. thats absolute perfection...
Very, very nice sound! Thanks for uploading. As you might know I like Schindler machines with nice motorsound a lot as you can see (and hear) in the video's on my channel. (I deleted my last post because of the info) 😉
Very, very nice, but i am wondering that the fan is off while the motor is running.
Cool! Just wondering, what's it lifting and lowering...?
At the start of the video the lift is travelling downwards.
The lift car is on the set of ropes at the front (from the camera view), the ones that aren't visible in the video at the back, go to the counterweight.
@@TecStuffLifts Thanks. Your quick response triggers another question, if I may be so bold:
When it comes to counterweights, what is their relationship to the max weight of the car - considering that the car will probably be overloaded by unaware people every once in a while? 2 to 1, 3 to 1, or what?
@@bavery6957 The counterweight is is most cases exactly as heavy as the lift car plus half the load. In other words: If the lift car is exactly half full, the system is fully balanced. This number is called the balancing factor and is 50% in the case mentioned above. Sometimes it can be a bit less, 45 or 40%, but that is not too common.
As of overloading: The lift will not run if overloaded. All modern lifts have a load measurement system, so does the one seen in the video. This will measure the weight inside the lift car and and an alarm will sound if the lift is overloaded. It will not run until the excess weight is removed.
