@@AstralLadyTarot yeah I liked your style and energy, it's very similar to my taste sometimes, so heck yeah, subscribed to you for more info and probably some entertainment too. 😍❤️
I don't know what I'd do without your videos at this point: you're an endless source of entartainment, guidance and fascinating information. Were you suggesting here you intend to sell your Thoth Gold Edition Box? I want it so bad but it seems to be sold-out/out of production anywhere and have no idea where to look for it.
I go by Tarot Plain and Simple Anthony Louis. Jungian approach to the cards. I own a few Janina Renne books and Donald Tyson's Essential Tarot Writing's. I'd try to check out Plain and Simple Anthony Louis though
Thank you for your recommendations. I like Jodorowsky's books so much. Have you seen his videos here on TH-cam? I discovered them yesterday and I've been so happy!! They are in Spanish. His way of reading the cards is..a supreme form of art, for me of course. Thank you again.
I don't remember what I said in this old video, but I am more open to astrology than I used to be. Still not for me to use, but it's interesting to hear about :)
Your remark on the dream dictionary 😂 I really appreciated you mentioning that you read many other books to inform your learning process outside of just tarot books full of meanings of cards! For astrology (if you are still on the fence) Kasia recommended "Astrology for the Light Side of the Brain" to me and it was a great easy read and an excellent primer! If you know the basics a bit, an overall favorite of mine is Astrology: A Cosmic Science! As someone who has the other Wildwood Tarot book: Wild Magic, I do think the information is different enough to make it worth it. It has a more personal tone and a lot of it is in first person; more of a reflective read (do recommend if you like the deck)! Really want to read that Psychomagic one! 😆 "I don't want to say mean things... so I won't" 😂🤣 You've got an amazing collection and I definitely have a few new additions to my list, so thank you! Sorry for the massive comment!
I have the same feelings about astrology. One of the reasons Jodorowsky’s ideas about Tarot appeal to me is his rejection of divination. Still, the Thoth art appeals to me, and I have been studying the deck recently. I am coming away from it with a “take from it what resonates, and leave the rest behind” kind of attitude. As my experiences and knowledge grow, maybe some of those things I left behind will resonate more, or perhaps the things I have carried with me will resonate less. It will be an interesting path, at least!
By the way, I’ve been meaning to read Zanoni for the past 20 years, but still have yet to do it. I found out about it in an interview Genesis P-Orridge did for Disinformation in the late 90s or early 00s, and Gen mentioned the book as the inspiration for having a violin at the ready at all of their concerts. One of the ideas in the book is a certain combinations of notes that can be played on the violin would send everyone present into a greater dimension.
Is the blue leather bound books from labyrinthos? If so can you please do a video on them they have astrology tarot work book i really want to see. Thankyou
23:15 That appears to be a butterfly. :P I agree that I would prefer a book that gives too much detail over one that doesn't give enough. One of the things people often say when recommending the RWS to beginners is the number of books available, but if many of them are collections of similar sets of keywords, does it really count? I'd much rather have a book that teaches the deeper meanings of the cards and how to apply them than another "The Tower means sudden upheaval" type deal. As for the Book of Thoth, I ordered a Thoth deck not too long ago, I'm a little nervous about but jumping into the book, but also excited.
James B Hahah! Indeed it is. What the hell is it doing in my book? Book of Thoth is an interesting read and will, if you enjoy it, be a reference book. Some things are explained in great detail and others not well enough, but I loved reading it.
Hi! Love your video and your comments about your books ;) i have a question - which almanach do you have in wrapping paper? I am also always wanted something like that, could you please could say an autor? :))
Thanks! It’s called the Witches’ year by Kate West. I still enjoy it even though I have no idea if it’s one author or a whole team writing this book. Let me know if you find it?
I love how authentic you are about your thoughts on each book. Thank you.
;) Hope it’s helpful

Well thank you very much! The gold edition was re-homed really quickly.

Looking into purchasing a spread book or a Polack one. Need something more human than scientific at times

Many of them have english subtitles if you click the subtitle box in the screen. His way of reading is very distinct, I like it!
I love your relaxed delivery, Anna Astral Lady from Amsterdam. Now, let me go see whatever in the world a "Hug Deck" might be...
Alan Weaver Thanks Alan Weaver, enjoy your quest
I feel the same way about astrology. Maybe I will look into it in the future.

😊
I love Mythos by Stephen Fry! Great collection, thanks for sharing
Such a fun read. Greek gods described as jealous teenagers!
Thanks for this it was a joy to watch your views on these books 🙂

:D Dankjewel!

I completely agree with you about “Witch” .. I too do not want to be mean, so I shall say no more.. 🤣🖤
