I had bought 5 BR 540 dupes before buying the OG. Thinking about it, I regret buying them, not bc they are bad or anything, I could have bought 2 bottles of the real thing. The bottom line is, in my opinion, buying the dupes only shows that we are longing for the original and we are going to end up buying it eventually.
I totally agree with you Sweven by Oakcha is one of the best dupes for Baccarat Rouge 540. I have them both. I also have cloud and Burberry her. But I didn’t get the latter two as a dupe. Especially not Burberry her, I happen to love the Burberry brand. And to find out that MFK is the nose behind Burberry Her was no surprise. He’s an amazing perfumer.
@@VivaGlaze for sure Burberry her and Oakcha Sweven because of the price point. Baccarat Rough of course. Cloud doesn’t seem to last long on my skin but I will try it on my clothes. 👩🏽🦱💁🏽♀️
@Angelik Heart 🌸 So I have been wearing Cloud lately and I get compliments every time. Long after I have left the corridor people say they can smell my perfume in the corridor … this is kind of how baccarat rouge edp behaves omg it’s so funny … that goes to show affordable is also a good way to go for sure ! 🌷
I was thinking about niche prices the other day, and designer prices. So I was talking about Gris Charnel to my hubby and how it was £150 for 100ml and he thought that was very pricey. Until I explained that a 90ml Alien is RRP £106 and 100ml Bleu de Chanel is £103! These designer houses do be putting their prices up, and they are owned by massive companies! So for £150 for 100ml of Gris Charnel, and the quality of that perfume, and it's a small company, it's pretty fairly priced by comparison to mass produced brands.
@em🌸 so true … designer perfumes have so many flankers changing the ingredients around or adding or taking out some ingredients of their original scent and that is all it takes for them to put out a lot of versions of the same perfume. I feel like little creativity is put in them these days, they all basically start to smell the same and copying each other. Sadly I think niche brands are starting to produce “likeable” scents. Playing it safe; value for $ … quality isn’t getting any better honestly it’s around the same or less but costing more … I’ll just try to find the treasures (cost to quality) in the designer perfumes and the niche as well. There will always be hits and misses🌸💕
I am still wondering where these people get their noses from lol the Ariana does not smell like Baccarat at all. Everyone is copying and pasting in the vlogs.
i got a original mk rouge 540 extrait for $95 on marcari theres a ton on there unopened screw paying full price but i love it nothing but compliments its worth the money tho its unlike anything iv ever smelt before
You got an original fake. No way you’re only paying $95 for something worth $400+. I too bought the og br540 (or so I thought) for $98 on eBay. Turns out it was a VERY GOOD fake.
I can smell BR540 on my work pal, but if I wear it I can't smell it at all. If imma spend that kind of cash I need to smell it on myself. Maybe I do need to try a dupe see if I can smell it 🤣
@em🌸 Very true. You need to enjoy how it smells too ! The brain shuts off the smell because it’s always there so you can’t smell it on yourself but the scent is there… Let me know if you try any of the dupes … Are you more into the dupe for the EDP or the extrait? 💕🌸
The root beer sweet smell of Ariana Grande Cloud at the opening lasts only about 35 minutes, after that it is all good!.This cheap dupe is about 63% Bacarat Rouge with about 37% Dylan Blue.
An absolutely amazing br540 "dupe but better" is Mimosa Cloud by zara, unfortunately discontinued. Plus Golden Rose by Estiara (made in 🇦🇪), and Very cheap but good is Jeanne Arthes Amore Mio Garden (in navy blue bottle)
@Olga Kari 🌸Had not heard about those 😁 Thank you for sharing? The question would be available in my country and shipping ! Hopefully when my other Lovelies read your comment they will look into your recommendations 🥰🌸
BANANA REPUBLIC HAS ROSEWOOD AMOR THAT IS ALMOST THE SAME AS BR 540!!!! Seriously I got it for $20 at Burlington and it’s a dead ringer. I’ve seen a couple more people agree with me. The only difference is Rosewood Amor is a tad lighter and less medicinal.
@@VivaGlaze I think BR540 is really nice on me seasonally. I prefer that clean and sweet feel for spring and fall where I live. It’s different which I really like. The saffron especially comes out nicely on me!

I´m gonna be a bit mean now, but boy am I glad that I know what the best dupe for this is and not gonna reveal it, or else it´d be pricing it up... since everything these days as "dupes´ searching" and "goes viral"... I´ll sneak peak that it´s from another well-known brand, and almost everyone that works at a beauty / fragance shop knows this precious secret. From all the comments here previously, it´s not mentioned.
I own TF, PDM, Mancera and Hermes frags and only 1 dupe ( dupes are awful) as this company inexplicably nailed both MFKBR540 and the Extrait but its not on this list which is hilarious because I think theyre running out lol .....I would walk into MFK on Rue d'Alger in Paris and they would never know the difference
I’m sorry but it is such a shame to compare these two together because the resemblance is so limited. At first, I was hearing around that the ariana Grande cloud smells just like the baccarat rouge. Let me just say, when I smelled Ariana Grande cloud, it was sooooo synthetic, too sweet, kind of disgusting smell. There’s a very small resemblance. It’s almost a crime to say that these two are the same especially when people are comparing the Baccarat rouge extrait version to Ariana Cloud. First off, Ariana’s only lasted about 5 minutes. Whereas, the baccarat just lingers onto my clothes until I do laundry. Not to mention, the Baccarat smells luxurious, fancy, and expensive. Ariana smells synthetic, cheap, and most importantly gave me a MAJOR headache!!!!!!! Terrible arianna honestly.
I highly prefer DUPES. I wouldn't even allow my clients to buy it for me. I have like 5 dupes and YES while I can tell a SLIGHT difference. its not worth it unless you have the money to spend and ALL YOUR BILLS, LOANS And PRIORITIES ARE TAKEN CARE OF.
