- This is my second tribute video related to The Monkees. The first video, which can be found on my page, was made for Davy on the one month anniversary of his passing. All information about clips can be found at the end of the video. I do not own any of the media.

A musical testimony to a group that started off as a manufactured answer to The Beatles, but ended up as one of the most beloved musical ensembles of the 1960s.
But also to the memories of Davy Jones & Peter Tork.

A fitting tribute to the Monkees, a group once dismissed as a Beatles knock off & manufactured, turned out to be a talented ensemble of musicians who were actors & actors who were musicians. Like the song says "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday". With the passing of Peter Tork, an era has truly ended. 😢

The Monkees can never tour again as The Monkees per se, but they live on in their show, the songs, Mike Nesmith & Micky Dolenz, & the memories of fans near & far.

God bless The Monkees, (David Thomas Jones, George Michael Dolenz, Peter Halsten Thorkelson, & Robert Michael Nesmith ), from 1966 to 1970, & in subsequent reunions since, they have delighted us with their humor, they were a positive force in a negative time, their music whether real or fabricated, was the soundtrack to a generation. The little group that could. With the passing of Peter Tork, The Monkees as a touring entity are no more, but they live on in the recordings, the TV show, the movie "Head ", & in the memories of millions of fans, young & old alike, the world over. We are all believers. Goodbye Davy, Pete, & The Monkees. God bless you all. 😢🎼🎸🌹
