- Michael sits down with legendary broadcaster Gary Thorne to talk about the state of broadcasting today, some unique moments Gary was a part of, and who Pete Webber was talking to when he said "Who do you think you are? I am!"
Gary and Bill Clement always made a Hockey game fun to watch regardless of which teams were playing!
I forget if Gary was still doing Devils games in 1994, but his call of the Messier hat trick on espn is the what I always remember when I think of that moment. One of the Gary’s best calls.
"Do you believe it!? DO YOU BELIEVE IT! He said we would win, he's got the hat trick!" Just one of the multitude of calls he made that gave me chills. ^ I'm reciting that one to the best of my memory lol
@@TwistedWristerHockey another great call was a 10 run inning that the Mets put up to come back against and beat the Braves. Mike Piazza finished that with a 3 run homer.

Dear folks,Im 63, been a Orioles fan since 1969. Been through Chuck Thompson, Bill Odonnell, and many others.I loved Mel Proctor/ John Lowenstien . However, Gary IS the voice of the Orioles. The Os firing him has left me watching ZERO Orioles games And if that weren t enough, They traded Trey Mancini. Goodbye folks, I have a life, it no longer involves the Os. That double a team they have is Horrible. Gary, tens of 1000s of us miss you Sir. The Hockey fans are happy to have you back and they should be
Kevin brown and Ben McDonald are very nice at masn . Also how have you stuck around this long if you can’t handle Mancini leaving? Orioles are notoriously frustrating to watch
Gary and Jim Palmer the best combo in baseball. I got through so many games because of them

Come back to the nhl Gary please. Hockey needs you. You are a god. I’ll never forget the 2001 cup finals. Ray bourqe getting the cup. Sakic fakes it takes it. Gave me chills. Still watch that series at least 2 times a year
Funny seeing the Fenway Park painting in the background now that Gary no longer does Orioles game. Great individual, great announcer, and great for all sports that he broadcasted. I especially miss him calling hockey games.
