These people are not answering the question, how do you file a case without being noticed as inactive/active?

They have done well in sealing the loopholes. They are aware of the corruption within the profession.

Even lawyers themselves are losing land they acquired and with all the due diligence at their disposal 😢😢😢😢

As an advocate I'm embarrassed and appalled. My Judiciary e-filing platform has been hacked, with cases filed in courts that I have never practised in. We need URGENT reforms, the recommendations from this forum are solid and will be pursued in our coming AGM of the Law Society of Kenya. Thanks Spice FM for having your pulse on key issues affecting Kenyans and doing deep dives probing further than headlines.

Adding burden to the public of venting a lawyer speaks of how rotten society has got. In the pyramid of this conversation it's obvious there are people sleeping on their jobs. The public is an individual abitor, the law society is a party to a citizens litigation as part of defence or non- partisan for the interest of the people.

There should be a difference from a "fake" lawyer who have never studied law and a professional advocate who has not renewed his PC- License.

filing of cases online need not be filed by advocates alone, a person can file a case in person, one does not have to be advocate to file cases,a very reason why advocates are up in arms, they feel threatened.

Thank you so much for this information.

  • @olackezra7184

please note from a point of information you do not need an advocate to represent you in any court of law ,what they need to tell the public is a scenario where you carry out yourself as an advoacte then they have a minimum threshold differentiate the two. go to employment court you will find people representing workers but they are not advocates and it is permissible .look at the scenario of public interest matters like OKIYA OMTATA he is not an advocate .
kindly focus on issue if you call yourself an advocate what is expected of you.

I'm so unimpressed with these "solutions" of weeding out quacks.. If I'm a scammer I'll have the best computers and offices in town ...why would I be trying to smell people's breath to establish their qualifications? Law society of Kenya do your job to weed them out smh.

the new civil procedure rules 2020 have liberalized presentation in court, one needs authority of the litigant to appear before a court, let alone the constitution allows that, advocates must remember there are many people who read the law more then them and the fear is real, almost 50% of the cases are of that category.
