The K5LLA horns seem to sound louder than the K5LA horns for some reason. Is that true? Why did they replace many of the horns on the existing locomotives with K5LLA horns?

First of all I think the K5LLA needs more air to sound correctly so that’s probably why it’s louder. And the K5LA’s were most likely getting old and fouled, so they just replaced them.
